  1. My wife and I talked about this. We both like to cook and eat at home. But, we know people who never eat at home. They have to be freaking out with all of this if they don't have restaurants to get their food from. I can't imagine living like that.
  2. Thank you. That's a great video. I love statistics too. It's just been a very long time since I've tried understanding logarithmic graphs and how they relate to other data.
  3. OK....educate me again. It's been a long time learning about this. But, looking at this site: Worldometer Please explain to me what the logarithmic graphs are.
  4. WOW...I really don't know that much about Governor Cuomo. But, just listening to him talk right now is fantastic. He's basically talking about all the closings the state of NY is doing. He flat out spent a few minutes doing nothing but saying, if you are upset about any of the closings, it's NOT the local mayor's fault, it's not the local school districts fault, it's not the local law enforcement's fault...etc. He flat out said, "It's MY fault. I"M the one that closed them. If you are mad at anyone, you need to be mad at ME". Now, it's stupid for anyone to be upset about the closings. BUT....isn't that a refreshing thing too hear. Someone at the top, basically saying..."the buck stops here!!!"
  5. Pulled pork nachos are the bomb. Pizza is awesome too. Chef Salads omelets enchiladas buritos Cuban sandwiches Just to name a few. And...you are very very smart to not sauce it till you eat it.
  6. Here is a go to meal that creates a lot, is relatively inexpensive and easy. Chuck Roast (most expensive part but, it's extended with all the rest of the ingredients) Old Bay seasoning Frozen peas, carrots, corn Egg noodles Season roast with Old Bay Seasoning. Cook in crock pot all day. Add enough water or beef broth to almost cover. When done cooking, roast should pull apart. After pulling, put back in juices and add frozen veggies and noodles. Cook till noodles are done (20-30 minutes). Add more broth or water if needed. Re-season with Old Bay if needed. It's awesome, easy and you can add as many veggies and noodles as needed to make it even cheaper per serving. Leftovers are awesome. All of our kids will be home on Thursday. This is on the menu.
  7. This absolutely needs to be done in a way that is not industry specific. We need a banking holiday immediately for 3-6 months. That means all bank loans (mortgage and business loans) are frozen in time till then. No interest is accrued, no payments are due. Status of loans do not change. All money due banks right now remains due. In 6 months, we reevaluate. If the threat is gone and some form of normalcy is back, then we pick up where we left off. Nobody in Washington can sit in a board room picking and choosing what industries are being hit hard. That is an impossible task.
  8. My use of the word "amazing" was used in the least "surprised" form possible.
  9. I would love to hear your solution to businesses being shut down that have bank loans, bank payments...etc.
  10. The transformation of messaging is amazing.
  11. Correction....SOME schools in Nebraska aren't closing. Many are. The rest should.
  12. Yes...yes...yes...yes...yes...yes...yes...yes..yes............ If our company would have only been started in France. Never thought I would have said that.
  13. Hey now....that's an annual return of .6%. yes, I bolded and enlarged the decimal point to make sure it was seen.
  14. We will see the DOW at 10,000 before this is over.
  15. I'm fairly sensitive to the financial industry needing to stay healthy. However, in this instance, I fail to see what benefit the Feds got for what they did.
  16. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer. I'm actually trying to find a silver lining here somewhere. But, if all those Restaurant and Hospitality people are off work, they aren't going to be buying things for their home. I'm guessing we will see some pull back on demand. The question is how much.
  17. I should change my song to this. At least, that's what's happening with my kids.
  18. Building products mostly related to residential construction.
  19. Sounds like we have similar type work places. We are a manufacturer and there is no way production can be from home. If I don't have employees here, we are shut down. We have some office people that could work from home, but it would be more difficult. Right now, I'm more concerned about the businesses we ship to. They are in more populated areas of the country and if they shut down, we might as well shut down too.
  20. I’m interested in knowing what your own personal employers and work places are doing related to the pandemic. Closers? schedule changes? work from home? travel ban? What about the level of business you are experiencing? Thanks for your input.
