  2. Another nut job? Haha, you sir are an idiot. I've read your posts for a while now and that much is obvious. Telling our Husker friends to go to Mission Beach, laughable. A real waterman would never support a place like Seaworld even if they had the best possible practices. There is one place those animals should be: in the Ocean. Grow some balls, go buy a board and some free diving equipment and get out into the real 'Seaworld'. Or maybe you are just afraid to be in their element? Beat it kook! LJ, you're just a PETA propogandist. Sorry 'bra, but real people like Sea World. It's not the evil empire that you make it out to be. And, yes, I have lived in the Pacific Ocean since I was 3. Living in Mission Valley and claiming the ocean doesn't make you an ocean expert 'bra'. Stick to East County where your kind belongs. You know nothing about the ocean.
  3. Fearless was a helluva player, professional partier in the Sigma Nu house and was a stellar position coach. My old man and him were fraternity brothers/close friends in those days, a great guy but as has been insinuated on this board and in the press he has a penchant for the drink. I don't think he was going to lead us into a future consistent with the bar TO set in his last decade of coaching. That being said I think his departure from NU could have been handled with more grace or maybe another season should have been given to see if he could implement some changes to ensure a better showing on the field. I think Bo is also a better position coach/coordinator at the FBS level as well. His track record as a DC speaks for itself at NU and LSU; despite what we think about him personally. Looking back at both hires, maybe it can be said that TO was a great HC but not the best AD when it came to decisions like this. It must be tough trying to find a perfect balance between tradition/loyalty and success on the field. That being said, s**t happens and despite the way things went with TO, FS and Bo they all surely landed on their feet and live blessed lives. More will be revealed in the coming months and who knows we may be better off with Riley than any of them.
  4. Watch Blackfish first then ask yourself if you really want to go to Seaworld. Not another nut job. Sea World has made major changes since the movie came out. They are building huge tanks with an actual river for the Killer whales to swim up. Unfortunately, the PETA crowd won't be satisfied until every zoo and Sea World empties out its animals. If you drive a Prius, you'll take LJsurf's advice. On the other hand, if you see things in context, you'll be totally happy going to Sea World. Another nut job? Haha, you sir are an idiot. 5. I wouldn't say that. Their zoo is nice but I think Omaha's is better in terms of quality of exhibits. Save your money and go to Seaworld or something instead. Watch Blackfish first then ask yourself if you really want to go to Seaworld.
  6. The best pizza in sd is pizza port. This is not up for debate. They have amazing beers too. This is a true statement. They also brew their own beer if you are into that sort of thing.
  7. Blacks beach. Hahaha enjoy the 100-1 guy ratio. Btw these guys are not looking to hook up with that one female. Right? Beat it kooks!
  8. Best singles beach would be Windansea/Little Point/Rock Pile/Marine St. in La Jolla. For something closer to the stadium try Sunset Cliffs below Point Loma Nazarene college. Mission beach is by definition a man-made "commercial" beach. Best burgers would be Hodad's in OB. Take care of the beaches, respect the locals, don't be a dick and you will have an epic time here. Stoked to see you all soon.
  9. You have room for 8 in your place? I live with two gorgeous yoga instructors...as nice as they are I don't think the girls would be down for that plan. However I can help you find a cheap spot that is close to the beach and should be a fun place. Shoot me a PM and I'll get you my contact information. Mahalo Have room for one then? We already have our hotel lined up, appreciate the offer for help. Are you attending the game/tailgating? I have not bought tickets yet. I will figure it out next week. Usually someone here locally will part with prime tickets for cheap close to game time. That being said if there is not epic surf the day of I will be at the tailgate. If there is swell I will pop in and head to the stadium. It's a mission getting into that place. If you are tailgating and want to try a local delicacy, go to: Seaside Market 2087 San Elijo Avenue Cardiff, CA 92007 Go to the meat department and ask for the Bergundy Tri-Tip. Each one is about 3-4 lbs and feeds 4-5 easy. The cost per is about ~$40.00 and well worth it. I feed this to family/friends from back home who were raised on KC bbq and they can't believe how good it is. We have a name for it: "Cardiff Crack" https://cardiffcrack.com/ I send one home to my old man from Ogalalla for his birthday every year and he is stoked on it. For beaches I recommend heading to La Jolla. If you have a smaller group one of two spots are the best: 1. Rockpile Use this address: 308 Vista De La Playa La Jolla, CA 92037 That is a residence but next to the house you will see a small parking lot and ninja public beach access. This is a local spot so be mindful of bringing a crowd and be respectful. I night dive for lobster and surf big waves at this spot. Super sick! 2. Hogans Use this address: 6204 Camino De La Costa La Jolla, CA 92037 Also a residence. To the left of the house is a path for beach access. At low tide this is basically your own private beach. Big waves and lobster out front!
  10. Runza's okay but compared to In-N-Out it's a dump.

  12. I know it's Silly Season on Huskerboard, but this is one of the most nonsensical things I've read. In every aspect. It really is. I'm still trying to figure out all the different ways that it is just completely and totally insane. I can't even figure out what it means or where it came from. Did this get reported on Fox news or something bc/ it makes as much sense? hahah, yea man i lol'd at my desk when i saw this...classic
  13. Move along...nothing to see here...these are not the droids you are looking for...

  15. All, I've lived in SD for quite a few years now and want to welcome all of you to this fine city for the Holiday Bowl. If any of you need any tips/suggestions as to where to go or which beaches to visit, do not hesitate to contact me; I am at your service. Drop me a PM. Looking forward to seeing the Huskers play in SD again and hopefully take down SC.
  16. Bull. For god's sake man...it's the Holiday Bowl! This bowl has provided the most entertainment and surprises the last 40 years. There is something magical about the Holiday Bowl...it is always high scoring and always entertaining. For some reason this bowl always comes down to: defense need not apply. I expect high scoring and giddiness for next year. Bull? Hmmm, my spidey sense tells me we don't have much room to talk about keeping the Holiday Bowl magical and entertaining: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7v_nJSexxk
