  1. This is crazy. Good stuff! I bet if you include the teams that joined the Big East but then left before playing a game in the Big East, the numbers would get even crazier! Nice to see the B1G dominating these fools though!
  2. Agreed and NU would have to end the regular season at least 11-1 if not 12-0 Why does everyone think this? Did Baylor have this kind of season? Did they even play in a BCS game when RGIII won? No they didn't on both cases Did TAMU go 11-1 or 12-0 when Menzeil won? No, they had a two loss year as well. As long as Taylor plays better, as in keeping the ball off the ground and being smart when he throws it, he will have a very good shot, despite if we only lose more than one game. For once, the Heisman has moved on from "who is the best player on the best team", to who is the consistent player who can still find a way to win that doesn't put their team in jeopardy. Taylor would have been in the spotlight this year, if he wasn't leading the nation in fumbles this year and didn't have an INT on the first drive of two games. Smart, decisicive and skilled kids when it. Not turnover machines. Now I do agree if we lose more than 3 games, he won't be considered, but the loss margin is more than one, if your a great athletic kid. Fair or not, I think players from certain schools, i.e. Nebraska, Alabama, USC, etc... are held to a higher standard. You put up big numbers at Baylor, A&M, K-State, etc... and win more games than usual then you are considered a hero. Just putting up big numbers at the first mentioned schools is not a big deal without some hardware. So I think Taylor can put up all the numbers he wants, but if there is not a championship of some sort to show for it, he will not be considered in my opinion.
  3. You are lucky! That was an awesome game on TV! I bet it was even better live!
  4. Unfortunately, I don't think there is any amount of coaching that will save the Huskers against Georgia. The Huskers are a good team, but simply don't have the athletes to game plan against a superior team. The Huskers would have to play a near perfect game, which would mean no turnovers and we all know that will not happen, and Georgia would have to not show up to play. Even that might not be enough. If you remember last year, South Carolina did not show up until the second half and they still won easily. I am not in the fire coaches camp, just calling it like I see it. The Huskers simply have too many holes to think about competing against teams of this caliber. I hope I am wrong.
  5. That this team is nowhere near national title material so just have fun with the wins however they occur. In what is an almost unwatchable conference, Husker games are worth tuning in for!
  6. I live in Kansas as well and I try to pull for K-State, but yeah, the fans make it very tough. I think I would be good with them getting there and then getting smashed by the Ducks. If they were to play Notre Dame though, I think I would have to pull for the Cats. I don't think it will come to this though. Texas owes KSU and I think payback time will be this year when it counts. On a side note, I think I will be pulling for Oregon to keep winning. I could be wrong, but if Oregon does not finish in the top 2 and wins the Pac-12 and if the Huskers win the B1G, wouldn't this be the Rose Bowl match-up? Does anyone really want to play the Ducks?
