Media outlets have confirmed we will be doing an alternate. I'm shocked this isn't being released as a distraction for Williams controversy.

Releasing the uniforms right now would be an excellent media distraction. As stupid as it sounds it would consume space in newspapers and on airwaves.

That is what I was told but I refrained from posting because nothing is out there yet. I heard it was an uber he hit. I kind of wondered the same thing as to why he was out downtown during camp with people in town other than if they were with him.

What are we 2 weeks from burying one of our own that died in a true car ACCIDENT. So sad that an adult these kids trust then goes out and does this. I just think the team has to be so fragile right now.

Most likely, he will be / has been let out. He won't have to go until his sentence begins, and this won't be until the court hears the entire matter, which a lawyers can drag out for at least a year. *I'm no expert in law, but this was how it worked for the person I knew with three DUIs. I believe he's being held in jail until his hearing on Monday which I obliviously don't know what time that is. I would then doubt he can come right over and start coaching.

Considering he's going to be in jail when he should be coaching at practice tomorrow I'm not sure worrying about whether he's fired or not is the first priority, these WRs deserve a coach!

Isn't Rich Fisher coaching at a high school? Some familiarity with the older guys at least

Williams has bounced back and forth throughout his career with #26 and #27. Originally he was #27 but I believe he had to switch to #26 in order to do punt coverage.

Not sure what hype would be different for Oregon unveiling them now vs. once the season starts. The biggest change I can think of from the delay of the traditional unveiling would be the death of Sam Foltz. Possibly they are incorporating a Nebraska small town theme, or possibly using the uniforms to make an impact on a foundation like Team Jack.

If they don't announce today, or soon, it almost makes me wonder if they went back to the drawing board and are coming up with something to maybe tie in a tribute to Foltz. I read/heard multiple places say he really liked the alternate uniforms.

What's the source on knowing that the alternates were supposed to be released last week? I emailed a member of the media asking if they had any idea if we are wearing an alternate this year and that was their response. Traditionally we have announced them a couple weeks before fan day like someone else already said and then they have a generic "#16" or whatever the calendar year is displayed at fan day.

the alternate jersey was supposed to be unveiled last week but wasn't given the circumstances. I wonder if today would be a possibility as its about the fans and they usually have the jersey displayed at fan day....

I believe the Miles commit keeps the monthly commit streak going back all the way to February for the 2017 class.

Our commits seem solid at WR... Seems more possible that they are bracing for going 0-3 with Tyjon (Ohio St), Calvin (ND/Bama), and Lewis (Arizona or somewhere like that). Bad part is that it feels like these guys are slipping, but Lewis was supposed to be on campus this last week and could have left his visit giving us a lot of optimism. I'm hoping some early visits in the season from these guys gets us back in the running a bit.

I would imagine if there was going to be an announcement this week, it has been delayed due to the Foltz passing. It's probably not the right time for all the kids to be freaking out over sweet alternate uni's. Makes sense, I'm hoping they can come up with something to honor Foltz somehow!

I completely agree. Seems like dad wants him to commit once he knows that he's comfortable with the recruiting process ending. I think Nebraska will always have a decent shot given the relationship to the family but this is another example of where recruiting hits reality. We have done everything right recruiting him now we need to show him we can be a winning program and early success for Lamar Jsckson could be a catalyst.

This kid is constantly traveling and attending camps. He attended the satellite camp and just a few weeks later paid his way to get to the FNL camp. All of that was less than a month ago, he's still interested. I'm guessing some of these visits are making a top 8 or top 5 turn more into a top 3.

I'm sure they could switch up the pattern but I have a few game used jerseys from the last couple of years and what many of you are referring to as a tire tread is where a lot of the "stretch/flex" is built into the jersey. These new jerseys are very tight fitting as mentioned above so that area is needed to make it stretchy. I agree that particular pattern is kind of played out though
