Yeah, you guys would never lose to a 6 or 7 win team like Northwestern, Iowa State or CU. Just in case you guys don't remember, Wyoming is right next door. A lot of us are kind of familiar with Neb and their history. Those are all BCS schools. How does that pertain to Wyoming? Yeah, we only play pee-on schools the past 10 years like Boise St, Utah, BYU and TCU You win any of those games? I s/h thrown in Air Force too, but yes Pokes have managed to win a few of those games. But no not when those teams have good years. But in the past 6 years Wyoming has managed to beat TCU, Utah, Virginia and Tennessee as well as teams like San Diego St, Fresno and Air Force. If Neb doesn't show up and play well, they could get beat.

thats what I would do if I was the Wyo coach, even if Neb scores, better than having them control the ball all game. And Wyoming does have a few good athletes.

...Mountain West team faces less competition than Big Ten team. Shocking, I know... I'll give you that, but the B10 wasn't exactly dominant last year either. B10 conf champ had 6 losses, teams like Iowa, Minn, Purdue, Indiana, Illinois... Penn St was 6-2 in conf. and undoubtedly had a down year. What? Evryone was predicting PSU to have no more than 5 wins last year. They overachieved big time, and they may win another 8-9 games this year. Thats what I'm saying, Penn St in the B10 last year wasn't a great team but still won 6 conf games.

So from beg post - "Brett Smith with 350 yards passing. Herron with 150 yards receiving. Nebraska with 300 yards rushing." is probably more true than many of you will believe, but problem with being the first game is having the team execute the passing game good enough all game long to hang with Huskers. Wyoming's issue in this game is entirely on their defense. Outside of turnovers, not sure how they can stop Neb.

I need that as my avatar What did you guys think of Joe Glenn? I go to USD, still not sure what to make of the guy. If Glenn would have gone out and got a good Offensive coordinator, he might still be at Wyoming. He was very popular for awhile just because of his attitude.

Pokes also played at Texas last year with the attendance over 100k, so most of their players have faced a huge crowd before.

Wyoming's offense will compete pretty well imo against Neb. Wyoming's defense however, may be in trouble. Smith does do a lot, and without a great offensive line and certainly hasn't had any Rex Burkheads to hand the ball off to.

I remember watching the kids HS film when he was coming out of the Portland area. Lets say we have recruited the QB spot quite well here. You do know that the 2 QB's in this years Super Bowl were from Nevada and Delaware right?

Hello Husker fans, looking forward to the game coming up, only 5 weeks to go now! I'll be there at the game. Tailgated with a bunch of Neb fans at the game in Laramie. That was a good time. I think the Pokes will give a good competitive game, at least til the 3rd qtr. Last year Wyoming seemed to score all their points in the first half and not much doing in the 2nd half of games. We'll see what happens this year but Wyoming will score some points. Not sure how we'll stop the Neb offense but at least we don't have to worry about stopping Burkhead again!
