Off course its possible. The rough November slate isnt that freaking scary. If we hadnt lost to Minnysoda we would all be talkng about our potential 11-1 regular season. Now winning out is a harder concept, but not impossible. Lets see how it pans out but yeah we probably drop another game, finish 9-3 and get another rough SEC tilt in the Outback bowl. Would a 10-3 season with a bowl win over the SEC save Bo?

How about Nebraska makes a move for Helfrich AND Frost?

Is Nebraska willing to gamble and potentially have 4 years of mediocrity or worse with a guy who is 8 games in as an OC. And if he doesnt do well, Eichorst would have to fire one of Nebraskas own. Its a recipe for disaster really. The payoff is there, dont get me wrong, but its unproven. Nebraska doesnt need risk, Nebraska needs to elevate and elevate quickly. I would love to see Beck take over at FAU and bring Frost here as OC. isn't any coach we hire going to be a gamble tho? Because people like us come on here and rip the coaching staff and everyone else. Because people in the Northwest see what Frost is doing and they like it they don't want him to go but they know some school is going to be calling for him and I say give him a shot at it!!! He took over Mark Helfrichs spot as OC. Mark Helfrich is now HC. The offense is still Mark Helfrichs. Frost is just the name next to the title. Frost is not a hot commodity yet. If he hadnt played here nobody would be calling for him yet.

End result. Would Frost do better than Bo? Win more, staff better, recruit better? Maybe down the road, not now. If I had to choose between the two Id stick with Bo. Love to see Frost as an OC, ease him back into it if we really wanred him to take over.

How divided is the fanbase on this question? Serious question- not being a smart ass. HB does not appear significantly divided. This is highly unscientific (just my perception of the posts I've read), and I am somewhat biased on the subject myself, but I'd say it is running about 4 or 5 to 1 against Bo wanting to be retained. But HB possibly might not represent the larger picture that I am not seeing living outside of Nebraska. Anybody got any LJS or OWH polls to link or point me towards? And just to be clear on my position (as if I haven't been) "if we absolutely cannot retain Bo" is not how I look at it at all. It is much more like "do we want him to stay". Honestly right now its probably 4-1 here on the board. Whole fanbase its probably 3-2. Maybe that will change maybe not. Id just rather us see how the season plays out before we relieve Bo and take another gamble on a rookie coach.

Is Husker Nation in need of a gamble or in need of a likely sure thing. Go with the sexy hire over the high risk/potential. The way the fanbase is divided on this keep or fire Bo situation, we need some substance. If we absolutely cannot retain Bo, we need to bring in someone who will attract some recruits, ie. Experience.

I think its a BIT much to ask a guy to come back to his alma mater and be the head guy. Not only be the head guy but be better than the one you replaced as a recruiter, staffer, coacher and do it after the halfway point of your debut coordinating season. But hey, if he came in and won games and recruited well, Id support him. If he came in and posted the exact same success in three years that Bo did, Id support him. If he came in and didnt quite live uo to the hype, Id support him.

So we want to fire a guy in his first head coaching gig and gamble on a guy in his First season as an Offensice Coordinator ? So How Many seasons do we give Frost to "Learn the ropes" before we get impatient and call for his head? Here we go again.......
