  1. Sorry, smart phone-dumb spelling. The recruiting is getting better. We had to adjust to a new format with the conference switch. It has an effect in a big way. We are easily on track to sign a great class. Sorry we couldnt have 23 commits befre NSD.
  2. I read that the same day I compliment yoi. Figures. jmfb = tool All I was saying, find 2'-3 guys who might be willing to stick together at the next level that have good chemistry. Sorry my radical concept boggles your traditional mindset. I bet you were in shock and awe when they debuted the forward pass. Nah you probably still think its too illogical to work.
  3. Nope! Swing and a miss for ya ! I guess we cant all be right all the time, of course I dont have to tell you that. You think were recessing instead of progressing. How cute is that?
  4. Sooooooo, Goal Line and Hudson are the same person?
  5. Valentine looks to be that guy weve lacked. I presume next year he comes in looking jacked with a whole offseason of conditioning. Add a touch of speed to that monster and we could be looking at an anchor.
  6. Even if a couple pieces are missing I feel like we are right on the cusp of getting back to '09 form. It took some time and patience but next year could be the year we see a dramtic improvement. Look at the tale of the tape thread and look at that youth. By the time these guys are Seniors they will be fierce. Not only that but they wl be able to help the incoming guys learn so we dont leave such a talent void like we had to upon switching leagues.
  7. We may not agree on alot of stuff but you are spot on here. I worked with a guy who does rennovation for homes now. Charges an arm and a leg, and people pay him gladly. He jacks the price, they still pay. Because he does beautiful work. Work not even the most experienced person in his field can do. But he doesnt understand why people pay him to do it when they could do it themselves. It just comes second nature to him. It would be like trying to learn basic math from Stephen Hawking. Simplifying the schemes Bo has built may work but it has to hurt him to do it when you know they work so well with the right personnel. I guess there has to be a happy medium the whole staff/players can agree on. No doubt in my mind Bo still has a great mind for Defense, pehaps too great.
  8. Its hard to dog on Purdue. Been cheering them to pull the upset every week before we joined their league. Always good for knocking off a good team but I dont see it this week. We tie the series up on Saturday to the tune of 43-17.
  9. Rule #1 for playing Quartermagic at Nebraska: -Throwing the ball away is for pussies and spin moves are for closers!
  10. Which Tebow do you speak of. National Championship Tebow or cut 3X Tebow. Your name discredits you right away. Bo does know alot of things. but does he know '6'? Bo was the one who first discovered why 6 is afraid of 7. So, yeah, Id say his familiar with 6. Practically raised 6 from earky on AND put 6 through communitu college.
  11. Which Tebow do you speak of. National Championship Tebow or cut 3X Tebow. Your name discredits you right away. Bo does know alot of things.
  12. If we eliminate CCGs then why move towards bigger conferences? I say incorporate the games into playoff. League has two divisional champs playing for a spot in 2nd round. If another team is worthy even though they lost title game there can be an at large spot or two plus at least one spot for one of the most deserving conf champ of a smaller league.
  13. If we get to 16 teams the first round should be the conference championships. Win your league, or else
  14. 8 would be fun. 16 Would water it down a bit. Im good with 4 for now. Lets see how it shakes out for a couple years. No doubt we get to 8 someday. Which is why we were all reall upset about the UCLA loss. Getting to the BCS title gane was hard enough unless you are an SEC team. Now that we go to 4 next year it makes it that much tougher to win a National Title. Everyone was hoping we could make it this year to get one last "easy" shot at it.
  15. Could be he is a freshman and was nervous to screw up in conference play. Wait, his technique is flawless! That equals perfect decision making, whether your playing Lincoln SE or Alabama! My mistake.
  16. I was bringin in Imani Cross's daily supply of goat when I heard the King of Husker Nation telling a red unicorn than Bill Callahn is also a candidate.
  17. I think this got lost in the shuffle. Thought Id re-share.
  18. Every situation is different. Therefore every evaluation can have varying results. While execution and base knowledge will stay roughly the same, you cant ignore decision making changing in a different atmosphere or base process being affeced when a blitz heavy team comes into town. Facts are only facts after the fact. Data cant be gathered pre-game.
  19. You are absolutely correct. The proof is in the pudding. Why should Pelini even ask the question, "Do we have a chance with this kid?" Pelini's main problem is two fold: (1). His on and off field demeanor/temper and (2). Losing big games by lopsided scores on national TV, repeatedly. Neither perception is an isolated incident. His lambasting Martinez on national TV and his expletive filled "fan rant" are real visual and tangible events. It will take a long time to recover from those types of situations, if ever. He can be the nicest guy in the world to coaches, but those two perceptions are out there for everyone to see. Thus, causing him to have to as the ridiculous question, "Do we have a chance with this kid?" Recruits see these things as do HC coaches and parents. NU has lost out on some very significant recruits, a couple from in state. That bleeding needs to stop. You have got to be shatting me......this is unreal. 1) why waste valuable time recruiting a kid who isnt coming in the end? 2) NU loses out on more recruits because of snow than Pelinis yelling 3) Bo runs a clean and well adjusted program, parents see that 4) The grass isnt always greener on the other side my friend
  20. Through two gamrs yes hes been smooth. Get him in the Big House or even @ Purdue and I think we see more of what he needs to learn/work on. Its different in a hostile/unffamiliar environment. This guy hasnt even been to an away game as a benchwarmer. If he plays @Purdue and lights it up just as well I'll be impressed but we must remember it is just Purdue.
  21. Prior to this year he couldnt have been confident playing a healthy backup over a banged up Martinez. The smart move was play him against UCLA but by the 4th it should have been clear to bench him in order to heal him for conference play. I hope he gets back for NW or at latest @ Michigan.
  22. I dont think Bo would feel obligated to lie to the masses via injury cover up if they wanted to replace Taylor. He owes him more than that.
