  1. hello, his mother wants him as far away for la as possible - which makes him N in my & everyone elses' opinions (so, it is now just the waiting game) p.s. I have learned through reading of la recruiting that there are two types of parents who live in la, & they are the ones who want their child to stay in la, & the ones who want their child to get as far away as possible
  2. hello, his uncle is edgerrin james, & both edgerrin & javarris have had a great relationship w/ soldering who was recently fired after mia's bowl blow out by lsu - soldering coached at mia for 16 yrs, & was rb's coach for 11 yrs two great things about the soldering firing is that he may visit NU, & if NU can land him after a possible visit then we as fans will see that he can catch the ball very well, which is a huge piece to the wco puzzle
  3. hello, I am shocked to read that jimmy smith just committed to wash st!!?? well, there goes that idea of asking him to visit NU, & he was a very likely candidate to do so
  4. hello, cally & busch visited garrett green at his hs in sherman oaks on monday p.s. blake is in san antonio watching & recruiting both wallace & mouton
  5. hello, will thenarse commit today, or tomorrow, or wait until after the army all-amer game this weekend? but, whenever it is I wish that he would just do it - & stop the it's b/w ore & NU, or fres st & NU, or NU is the fav, or I should be committing to NU - just please do it! good grade or bad grades, or below or above act or sat scores - I do not care any more - end the drama, & commit already, thanks for listening. sincerely, hootin'
  6. hello, it looks like the qb that NU wants for a visit is going to be garret green - he should be visiting in the next couple of weeks
  7. hello, niles paul is N...#1 of '07 recruiting class goodbye, hootin' annie's goatfarm
  8. hello, I believe that thenarse will be the next to verbal to NU - but will he qualify? williams should be near a decision b/w his top 3 of in, mn & NU - there is a good chance that he could be N wallace's decision will come on jan 7th, & walton's decision should follow that hancock will decide after his last 2 visits to gt 1/6, & tn 1/13 wilson will be visiting fl on 1/20, & tn on 1/27 - he may be the next to verbal else where davis has set a visit to wv on 1/13, & to tn, also - in feb he will verbal most likely visitors to NU are: jimmy smith - cb colton deas - 1/9 (ga 1/27, au 1/13, & lsu 1/21) w henry - 1/13 (will also visit tt) o.k. chance of visiting are (3 guys who are generating the most buzz): ira lee keys - soso, ms 6'2", 240, 4.8, de/dt, 99 tackles & 19 sacks in '05 - high on s miss garrett green - has only visited harvard thus far (12/16) greg mcelroy - tt commit p.s. I hope that this helps
  9. hello, I feel that NU is still heavily in the mix for hancock, who has NU in his top 4, & has said that NU is one of 2 schools that have continued to recruit him the hardest (tn is the other). He has visited NU (for the wf game) & md, & will be visiting gt 1/6, & tn 1/13 (he is not planning on visiting any other school other then these 4) p.s. he is looking for a school who is going to throw the football (so, the wco has to be a big temptation for him - right?)...we shall see after he visits tn, & his verbal should soon come after that, & I pray that it is NU - to have 4 or 5 wr's signed this yr would be incredible (holt, purify, & spain, & possible eloi & hancock)
  10. hello, deas has set 4 visits, & his 1st will be to NU on jan 9, & then aub on 1/13, lsu on 1/21, & ga (his other fav) on 1/27 he likes blake a lot, wants out of fl, has transferred 3 times during his hs time, bench presses 360, squats 340, & at the nike combine at mia ran a 4.88 (40) p.s. at the manhattan nike combine 2 NU kids lead at their positions w/ young for the rb's w/ a 4.39 (40x), - & that was his time after his 1st knee surgery - & bullock for wr's w/ a 34 in vert leap (sorry, old info, but I was reading my rivals mag, today)
  11. hello, NU has 3 offers for hs qb's for '07: phillip bates, o north, 6, 182, 4.4 dual-threat qb (p bates sr - played fullback in the nfl for the lions & chiefs) latravis washington, bayshore, bradenton, fl 6'3", 210, 4.55, dual-threat qb (bro of fabian washington - his favs are fl, fl st, mia, & NU) ryan mallett, tx high, texarkana, tx, 6'6", 230 (father was an asst coach at ar, & ryan has been to ar camps since the 9th grade - NU was the 1st to offer, but tx should have him as their #1 target next yr) p.s. it is too bad that freeman committed to NU in the early fall before cate did because if NU had cate's committment there would have been a good chance that NU could have had stanley havili's committment as well, since they were teammates at cottonwood in salt lake city, & stanley was looking pretty hard at NU at that time (stanley is a terrific runner & receiver for the fb position, & usc has now offered & a visit there has been set, yet there was a chance that NU could have had he & cate early, which may be the biggest disappoint for me w/ the whole freeman decommittment 2nd p.s. like freeman, cate is a jan hs grad
  12. hello, I heard that he was going to commit today, & I was hoping that it was going to be NU, because of a wk ago, I was listening to crabtree who said that brown was NU's to lose, but brown was all along il to lose - since, he committed there early, then wavered & wanted to visit others schools, & tempted a few of them in the process (NU & ou), & then w/ a complete 360 he chose il, again - the last couple of wks have shown to me that the recruiting gurus really should not be taken to seriously, since they only know (or pretend to know) only slightly more than the average fan of football recruiting knows (or pretends to known): crabtree - brown is NU's to lose, wallace's top 2 are NU & pa st (w/ no mention of oh st), & deas is NU's to lose (by the end of the wk deas sets 4 visits to 4 different schools, which shows that there are plenty of schools in the running for his services) oh well, merry x-mas
  13. hello, tyrell spain is officially N (he has signed his letter of intent w/ NU for the 2nd time) NU will have some good weapons next yr w/ spain, holt, eloi, & purify, & may have possible upcoming visits from carpenter 119 catches, 1800 yrd, smith 47 c, 927 yrd, & henry 56 c, 927 yrds p.s. w/ NU one losing leflore to graduation NU is looking quite fine at wr for next yr
  14. hello, here is some happy news for all fans of NU football...haines & palmer are N (palmer had to delay his letter of intent signature & fax, because of a funeral)
  15. hello, I have read on hi that he would listen to what NU would have to say if NU called him he is 6'2", 210, & throw for about 4,000 yds & 60 tds, on the nations #1 hs football team of southlake carroll hs, which was also #1 last yr w/ chase daniels as qb he was a one yr starter at s lake carroll, is the #11 pro-style qb in the nation, & is committed to tt, along w/ the #13 pro-style qb 6'4", 210 taylor potts his primary receiver at s lake carroll, was clint renfro 5'10", 160, jr., 24 ypc, son of former oiler & cowboy mike renfro p.s. there is a rumor that he is upset that tt decided to offer another qb after he committed to them
  16. hello, this is the dead period for coaches, so prince is not on him (right now), but the troll is - freeman - who may be the worst recruit NU has ever tried to recruit, since he switched his verbal the evening before the dead period, which gave the coaches zero chance to speak w/ him (which had to be planned), & then preceded to call the other NU recruits & prospects & try to sway them toward ksu (while the NU's coaches remain completely defenseless) - prince does not need a complete staff to recruit w/ since he has freeman calling krehbohl, maclin, holt, mcneil, williams, clayborn, & wilson probably will also receive a call (I will put $ on that he sets a visit to ksu when the ksu coaches can met w/ him) after the dead period freeman is definately making himself a marked man, since he was committed for so long & then turned the tables on NU, & then precedes to tear apart all that the NU staff has gathered & maintain w/ hard work & energy (what did NU do to tick this kid off? was it the mention of rs? - or was that concocted within his head?) freeman = the troll what say you?
  17. hello, oh, I hope you are right, nameless, about your statement of "no one else from this class (ol recruits) decommitting", because... - barrett has the fsu offer - & henry may not qualify plus, - there is the davis decision tomorrow - wilson has visits set for fl & tn, now - holt is slightly shell-shocked now by freeman's decommittment - NU only has 5 official visitations left to give & I am as nervous as a you-know-who in church, right now when it comes to NU's '06 recruiting
  18. hello, so 1st of all, ron freeman said, "who is to say that if josh goes to NU that during his 2nd yr they decide to make him into a de, because that situation happened to me, because I was recruited as a de & they made me into a dt, & I became an all-american." ok, what is wrong w/ this statement - he disagrees w/ the thought that moving his son to another position is wrong, yet he himself was moved to another position, & that switch turned him into an all-american? - wow, how dreadful, & heaven forbid that that situation happen, again, when coaches try to find the best position & situation for a student/athlete. 2nd of all, schaeffer will be visiting ksu while freeman is walking the campus of ksu to attend his morning classes there - & yes, schaeffer's visit will still be scheduled in jan 3rd of all, which I think is the funniest is when ron freeman said that they (ron, josh, & prince) sat down & watched film of va, & they were impressed that va ran the same offense as the colts do...well, callahan runs the same offense as he did when he was an actual NFL coach, & prince w/ zero coaching experience, simply emulates an offense of an nfl team...wow, that is impressive...good points, ron p.s. NU is the 1st school to offer '07 qb prospect mallet
  19. hello, NU is in trouble if they want a top qb for this yr, because freeman made the switch to ksu, because he could start right again (if he came to NU he would have to rs, & if he is going to rs than what is the point of him graduating hs early - so, he picked ksu, where he will have little competition - which shows his unwillingness & lack of confidence to compete for a position, & lack of judgement since ksu will have little protection for him) - but the reason that he switched to ksu is early playing time, which is also one of the reasons why cate is committed to ok st (& will stay committed), because he will play next yr - especially since he is a little more ready as a qb than freeman is, but than again freeman has a lot more upside then cate - the reason why schaeffer is looking at the schools (nc st, ks st, ms, & wi) he is looking at is also because of playing time, which is all the more important to a juco player, therefore, there is a very little chance that he will be visiting NU, any time soon. - in the end, mustain will probably stay w/ ar, but if he is considering a switch than it would be to the other schools (mia, mi, fl, tn, nd, & sc) he has considered throughout his recruitment (plus, if he stays w/ ar he will most likely start next yr) it is just too late for NU to do anything - this is almost too solich-esque p.s. I think NU will be calling bynes sometime this morning
  20. hello, I read an article today that had wallace stating that he does not have a top 2, & that it is very hard for him to narrow his list, & decide b/w his top 4 schools is this a ploy by wallace to build back suspence to his army all-amer decision, or is he being truthful? plus, there are so many reports on wallace & what his decision will be that it is getting very confusing for me, since I have heard/read that crabtree has NU as a co-leader, & scout had NU on the outside looking in, & rivals has him w/ a top 4 of oh st, pa st, fl st, & NU p.s. fsu last thur sent 6 coachs to wallace's house for an in-home visit 2nd p.s. wallace is now rated by rivals as the nation's top hs cb
  21. hello, thenarse has narrowed his choices of school to 2 - NU & fresno st? he likes a lot of things about NU, but would like to go to a school that can offer a better social life, & that is why fresno st is in his top 2 schools - the kid may not qualify any way - he will probably choice fresno st - next yr he will be at a jc - NU has verbals from high schoolers, young & west, so oh well.
  22. hello, I have some bad news...the dead period begins tomorrow & will not end until jan 07 yet, the mid-year junior coll. letter of intent date is dec 21st! p.s. mitchell & williams sat in on NU's practice sat (is that the day that ruud broke his arm?) 2nd p.s. I believe that williams will verbal to NU - but, it may take a wk or 2
  23. Player: Haywood Howard Hometown: New Orleans, LA Position: DT Height: 6’5” Weight: 300 40 time: 4.96 Visit Date: Scholarships offered: Ole Miss, Oregon St., Nebraska, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee Favorites: Commited to Ole Mis Rankings/Stars: Rivals: JC/ Bid Red Report: NR/ Assessing the talent: He could play either ot or dt at his next stop, & he has visited auburn 12/16, who he is high on right now, but they have yet to offer, yet that may chance quickly, & he will be visiting ole miss next, who has offered. Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 0% He is getting a lot of interest from a lot of schools right now, including NU & of course mi st, & he will be signing in jan to whom ever he chooses, & will be eligible to play 4-for-3 (I believe that NU is about to release blake on him, so stay tuned)
  24. hello, verdell finally arrived to tallahassee, fl this weekend - which was his 1st visit of the yr, & he has just committed to fsu (oh well, NU got palmer who is not as big a safety as verdell, yet he does have 3 yrs to play...plus, NU must have wanted palmer in a big way since they assigned blake to him in the 1st place)
