It's so funny.. I used to be the guy... yeah the refs are screwing us, but our team is playing like s#!te too.... not the case tonight... our 2nd and 3rd drives were derailed by mystical penalties. Smirking refs flag defense for delay of game??? Refs try to give Mich a td 2 times before irrelefutable evidence overturns both... and the final td of the half gifted by a bs pass interference and a missed delay of game call... our team is playing fine. The damn refs are earning their Mich paycheck.

Refs will cushion Michigans lead a touchdown or two more... then call a few penalties on Michigan to make it look like they called a fair game... same formula every single big game we are in.

I think Martinez is our number 1 recruit for next year. The way the schedule sets up and our personnel, the defense will likely take a step back, but an experienced offense should have a chance to run... We could make a serious run if we aren't breaking in a new QB. I also think there is enough space between 2AM and the other qbs that a transfer is unlikely, so it shouldn't hurt depth. Then in 2023 we have 4 scholarship QBs to tryout for the starting gig.

IMO the benching of Martinez last year proved the issue was the lack of talent on the line and receiver last year, and vindicated Martinez.

Do you live with or have many friends who are Hawkeye fans? I moved to Iowa in fall of 2003. I pitied Iowa State. Didn't give two craps about Iowa. Upon learning I was a Husker fan, their fans drove me to hope they lost every single game in one season's time.

Now hold one... we have to clarify... that is "great" by Iowa standards.... for Nebraska, its just "pretty good." You can't blame them though. If you've never seen greatness, "pretty good," can feel pretty great I guess.
