  1. And Frost said, nah, let's throw a pick with the game on the line.
  2. Need a 10 minute td drive now... not sure we are capable of that
  3. With a 21 point lead we should be bleeding the clock!
  4. No they don't. We mess up when we try to be creative. Just run the offense.
  5. Another Td there and this game woulda been over... bad play calling bad execution
  6. Again dude, its not the the calls against us, its the lack of calls against them.
  7. Now holding called on us... yup! BIG at it again.
  8. Missed holding on that zone read against number 9
  9. Omg!!!! Qb sneak for the 1st td!!! Scott read my post!!!
  10. I'll call cow manure on the talent comment as well. We have more talent than Northwestern, Purdue, Illinois, Iowa, at almost every position, yet they can still manage a higher point per attempt in the red zone. Heck, there are FCS schools that do better against FBS teams. It comes down to play calling and want to. I'm not sure that we have seen growth in either. 1 team "O", vs 1st team "D" at the 20. We go until we score, and then we'll do it again and again and again.
  11. If this was just a theme for this season thus far, I'd agree. But I think for the last three years, we have been one of the worst red zone teams in the BIG. It's like the team gets inside the 20 and think their work is done, play calling also becomes suspect. Frost needs to figure out what works from a play calling perspective within this offense to get tds on the board. The team needs to get over the red zone jitters or whatever it might be. I don't know how else you get past it. Additionally. We threw two interceptions into the end zone. I don't think we're going to stop passing for a touchdown because of that. The rationale that Luke fumbled a snap under center once, so we shouldn't go back to it doesn't hold water.
  12. Welp, if I'm Frost, this week's practices will consist primarily of the number one offense lined up against the number one defense starting at the 20 yard line, and being told to score. And I'm doing that over and over and over until I figure out the plays that get us into the end zone against a defense with a pulse. One more thing. What the heck happened to the qb sneak???? Several times I yelled at the tv when the qb lined up in shotgun with one yard to gain for the first down. QB SNEAK! Why make that more difficult than it should be?
