  1. Here is more about Satterfield's career. He does not have a great deal of OC experience so that is concerning. Also, he served as a head coach at Tennessee Tech and went 6-16 in his time there and was fired after his 2nd season. I am fearful that Rhule is just bringing in buddies and not the best staff candidates in the nation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Satterfield
  2. I am unsure about this hire based upon what he has done at South Carolina the past 2 seasons. Last season South Carolina was 106 in team offense (Nebraska was 71). This year SC did make a big leap up to 45 in total offense but the last 2 weeks played a big role in this jump in rankings. I think we are hedging on the fact that the output from South Carolinas last 2 games are indicative of what Satterfield will deliver at Nebraska. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/years/2021-team-offense.html
  3. I think Jim may like this too given he was being groomed to be the Wisconsin HC and then has been turned away. Rhule and Alberts better move quick to lock in their staff as Wisconsin is out hunting for top candidates.
  4. I think Trev wanted Rhule all along even before he was fired. I remember there was speculation he may want out of the NFL to start this season.
  5. What is interesting is that, prior to this season, Paul Chryst had 9 or 10 win seasons in 5 of his 6 prior seasons (not counting the Covid year) including an 11 and 13 win season. Fickell is 9-3 this year witb some prior 11 win seasons at Cincy. I think Fickell is a great coach but I am not sure it will be a significant upgrade from Chryst who did well at Wisconsin all years except the start of this season.
  6. First offer out...a good sign he is already recruiting.
  7. Well if this has been in the works for weeks, I assume Rhule already has a list of players to go after. I assume we will see many offers go out in the next 2 weeks.
  8. Well this is a thread with many fans wanting Day gone.
  9. If OSU had kept it close I think they could have gotten one of the 4 spots. But losing this bad will take them out of contention in my mind. They would essentially need TCU and USC to lose to get a top 4 spot.
  10. Is Ryan Day on the hot seat? Losing 2 in a row to Michigan will not sit well in Columbus. I am half joking when I ask this as OSU dominated Michigan for years and now OSU seems unable to keep it close against MIchigan.
  11. While Coordinators are always important hires, I really hope we spend good dollars getting some of the best line coaches in the country. Our O and D lines are the key to rebuilding this program. Also, I would love to see a top notch strength and conditioning coach.
