I think we have a right to be negative/frustrated. It's the first big game Nebraska has had in a while, and they are totally unprepared. MSU is good, but we should be competing with them. Rutgers beat Washington State which almost beat Oregon (before AZ did), and we know Oregon walked all over MSU.

Outside of this overrule, I don't think the officials have been that bad tonight.

Where is the indisputable evidence to overturn the call? Also, I will go back to what I said earlier. We just need to have a QB launch the ball downfield and risk an INT at this point. Anything to shake up the monotony.

It's exactly what happened to Mariotta, except this is an inverse situation. I wouldn't go that far....the offensive line has been a HUGE reason AA has even been in Heisman consideration. They are not playing great tonight, but I think Beck's calling and TA's inability to pass is a bigger reason for the lack of yards.

We do have good receivers and need to get the ball to them and allow them to make plays. At this point I would rather see Tommy throw the ball down 40 yards and attempt to get a big play while risking an INT than playing this small ball that is getting us nowhere. If we can convert a couple long plays, that opens up the playbook.

Now we are back to complete amateur playcalling. it is poor performance by the 0-line. it isn't play calling I would disagree. When the other team has a stop for a very vanilla up the middle rushing attack that Beck is calling, its up to him to have plan B and C and so on.

Wasn't there an article about the jet sweep on this board. Why aren't we getting more creative with our rushing attack, whether its the jet sweep, or having Cross and Abdullah back at the same time. Getting creative is not doing the wildcat with the one guy that MSU is determined to stop.

Right now there is way too much pressure on Abdullah...we do have other playmakers on offense and need to be using them.

What the hell is Tim Beck doing this game. Horrible play calling the entire game. We have hardly ran the wildcat this year (a few times)....why would you make that call at that point?

Another reason our team should run the jet sweep is to allow our defense to get used to it in practice, as that is the one offensive scheme Pelini's teams have struggled with in recent years (Wisconsin and Minnesota). The more our D handles it in practice, the better they will do against opponents running that.
