  1. Let's put this into perspective. Put in the QB that gives us the best opportunity to win the game. RK3 has the arm, have Ameer, Newby, Cross tote the rock. But I like TA ability. Watching HS highlights... he puts the ball right on the money when he throws and can throw on the run. Roll him out, introduce a little playaction. I think with TA we can be more creative on offense. Cont'd we CANNOT afford to get cute shuffling both QB's to please both. That spells disaster. One of them could make a costly mistake on offense. Sure, they'll probably start RK3 but I THINK Armstrong should get more snaps. He needs them to build his confidence.
  2. Also, Mendenhall is a defensive minded coach too and was mentioned as a possible candidate back in 2002 to be the DC after Frank canned the defensive staff.
  3. This. This is why Scott Frost is my favorite Husker! He redeemed himself, he fought through everything. I remember hearing the chorus of boos and it was loud as if the entire stadium booed him. I was stunned. I couldn't believe the fans but he pushed through it. The only Nebraska born QB to win a MNC!
  4. "They outcoached us, they out played us, they out talented us." - Bill Callahan. At least he had the balls to admit he was out coached, out played and out talented.
  5. lol I loved listening to the fake Bill Callahan. That was one thing I liked listening to during his tenure even after losses they would have the fake Callahan call in.
  6. It's 2010 all over again. I'd rather take a 100% RK III/TA than a 50% Martinez. Let him rest 3 weeks as long as he sticks to the RICE treatment he should be ready to go by the B1G opener.
  7. If Bo gets the axe and Frost is hired... I get the sense he will have an OC being paid to be the birds eye view for the offense while Scott calls the plays. Similar to when Frankie was in the booth for TO.
  8. I'd love to get Mendenhall he would be great. His record at BYU speaks for itself plus he prefers an up-tempo offense that can run first to open the pass. Watching his post game press conference (Texas) he uses the word "physical" a lot and that he loves running the ball says it was strong and physical his defense was aggressive (3-3-5 defense needs aggressive players to run it and to utilize confusing blitzes for QB's) he works the media, smiles/laughs with them. I love his defense. They attack, they don't react. He only gets paid I think $900k a year at BYU he could make double here. It will be interesting to see what kind of year BYU has because i will be keeping a close eye on him. He is a proven head coach and has taken his team to a bowl game every year he has been there and is 6-2 in bowl games.
  9. I genuinely believe that Bo wants to be here. I think the expectations are very high for him and everyday is a challenge. There's a lot of pressure involved so I feel for him. With that said... There really is no place like Nebraska. If we have a great year (like finish 11-1 heading into the B1G title game,) I can't see him leaving for another school one way or the other. He made a mistake 2 years ago and you can tell he's sorry just by watching videos from yesterday. Most fans ought to be forgiving. At first I wanted Bo fired, I was pissed but now I understand how he felt back then. I appreciate his passion his energy. I could do without all the cursing though. Here's hoping he makes changes for the betterment of the team and we win convincingly once we head into conference play.
  10. I'm not even 100% sure the crowd will be that loud for SDSU after the game last week. I have a feeling the majority will just be like "meh..." like a bad hangover.
  11. I think the person that did this will be tracked down and I bet said jackass is nervous about that. "Brothers, what we do in life... echoes in eternity." - Maximus
  12. Can you fetch water for your dad while he coaches for Nebraska, son? +1 haha
  13. I'm sure Bo doesn't care if everybody knows what he thinks of them. Bo isn't the kind of guy to say one thing to a person's face and another thing when they aren't around. Bo's a stand up kind of guy and says what he says and means what he means...and if we don't like it, well then, F all of us F'in A-holes, we can kiss his F'in @ss... ...although my mom is a Husker fan, so I really wish he wouldn't say things like that about her any more...but again, I'm preaching whatever you are down with, that's okay with me. We all love our moms at a different level, I'm sure. Not everybody needs to love their mom more than Bo... Funny because I have family that feel the same way for Bo as Bo does for our fan base. And this didn't start until 2011 after Carl left. On a side not, I really think losing Sanders, Carl, Ekler hurt our defense more than anything and having a less than average offense so far isn't helping. It could translate to more L's with such a weak schedule.
  14. Or the NSA. Maybe they thought Bo was a terrorist or something?
  15. I would go with Greg Sharpe. Wasn't it said a year or two ago, Sharpe is one of the few Bo actually trusts? You know the old saying, "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer." Plus he was a purple kitty to which we all know they hated our winning tradition. He was in the room when it happened and I can hear a close whisper to the microphone during the recording saying, "Yeah..." it does sound a lot like Greg. Plus the microphone made all kinds of noise and again, you heard Greg's voice. It had to come from the radio crew because it was before HIS show with Bo. You have to go with the first leads on this one.
  16. The saying is "It's not what you say, but how you say it." In this case, he said all the wrong things. Period. Emotions rampant or not. At the end of the day, he represents the most prestigious sport/team in our state. There are no excuses for this. I've thought about it and I'm not for calling Pelini's head. I do however expect some kind of suspension or perhaps changes for the team in order to win games. Schemes, coaches, players whatever it takes. If we finish worse than 9-4, he's gone. We won't fire him but he'll leave on his own accord.
  17. Before I proclaim backing Bo 100%, I think to myself, what would the reaction be like if Tom Osborne said this as AD in the press box at one of our games and someone leaked the audio to that? His 25 year coaching record would be frowned upon. Former players would be shocked, hardcore fans would probably end their lives by way of suicide. Ok, probably not that but still. There would be serious repercussions for such an act and people would be stunned. The reason people aren't 100% stunned by this form of behavior is because it is pretty common for Bo and it's accepted by our fan base which pays him. We are the ones who lowered our standards for how we perceive our head coach. Osborne was a darling to the media and he was very approachable. Bo is the exact opposite so some people (like me) akin to the past. So, no... as a fan I am not behind Pelini for what he said 2 years ago in fact, if politicians are forced to step down for past mistakes or your regular hard working American can get fired for something like this, then the potential of Bo being fired for it should not be ruled out. Obviously the athletic department is in a tough position right now. If they keep Bo and he doesn't pan out in the W-L record, then we'll face a lot of heavy criticism from the media and football fans for not canning him when we had the chance.
  18. The person recording him could face legal repercussions from Bo (if fired) or the University could take action against the person that recorded Bo right now if they want to do their own investigation. Or, the person who did this can step forward so we can publicly embarrass him/her but they won't because they're fully aware that if they did that, they would get SUHed by UNL. The university itself won't face legal ramifications for what transpired today unless if the person was somehow connected to UNL.
  19. I bet the person who leaked the audio has been lurking these forums. I wouldn't even rule out that they have an account here. But that won't remove the title "Jack@$$ of the year"
  20. I'll be shocked if Bo doesn't part ways with NU after this season. It's purely speculation but I'd guess the wheels will be in motion very soon if not already. Eichorst and Pelini will call it a mutual break up. He ends up as a DC at USC under whoever replaces Kiffin. He's been looking at other schools already and I think this is the straw that breaks the camels back. Anything less than 11-2 or 11-3 and I can see this happening.
  21. Next week after we destroy SDSU 69-0 there'll be a leaked audio recording of all the players saying "F##k the media, f##k the fans we got your back coach!"
  22. Man up, start an account, and post. PUSSIES!!!! I already have been posting--Dirk Then Bo forgot to add another "F### you!" in that audio recording.
  23. Can't have fun when you're being taken to the woodshed. He's just running out of excuses for another poor performance overall.
