  1. Thanks. Care to post your version? I laugh to myself when I say those names. Try to make it really funny so that we can critique each others humor.
  2. Bo had to recruit the player for him to qualify. QB: T-Mobile RB: T-Rex RB: Ameer (needs to bring back the dreads) WR: Kenny Bell WR: Squincy Enunwa TE: Kyler Reed OT: Zach Sterup (most talented OT he's had and he should have started all year IMNSHO) OG: Spencer Long C: Uhh Pensick? Caputo? OG: Ricky "wrecking ball" Henry OT: Jerry Sirles DE: Randolph Gregory DT: Vinny Val DT: B-Stein DE: Eric Martin (Lawrence) LB: LaDavid Vonte LB: Will "Straigh Outta" Compton LB: I DONT EVEN KNOW CB: Alphon Zodennard CB: Stanley Jean "The Baptist" S: Corey Cooper S: Daimion Stafford (by default because he was drafted in the 7th round) PK: The best Husker of all time, Alex Henery P: Henery What do you got? Not many options at DT. Could this team even win the Big 10 this year? Maybe I don't know who knows.
  3. Here's the thing. You don't fire Bo specifically for these comments. However, his various douchbaggery episodes combine with not winning enough, and eventually there is just one too many issues. At some point the juice isn't worth the squeeze. I'm not saying that point is now. I'm just saying you don't view all of these things in a vacuum. You view them cumulatively. I hear you. I still don't have any problem with what he has said. And I think he is winning enough for now. I feel like when you have a coach that wins 9-10 games consistently like he has, it means you are on the cusp of getting better. If he had a couple of 6-7 win seasons sprinkled in, I would question whether he can get the job done. And recruiting is getting better. Maybe not by ranking standards but the talent on the field has vastly improved. We all have different feelings of Bo. I like him as our coach. I would be happy if he stays/is retained but won't be mad or shed a tear if he leaves/gets let go. Have you looked at our recruiting class this year? You are going to have to expand on your question. Our 2 highest-rated commits (Darlington, Harrison) will never play a down of football at Nebraska. That leaves us with 13, one of those is a kicker. We have some nice commits but you need star power. We are not even being considered by any major prospects. This will be Pelini's worst class yet.

  5. This guy is in. And here I was going to invite you to lunch with me and Harv, Bo, and Cook. my dad has a volleyball signed by cook and a basketball signed by doc sadler
  6. You should make that your signature; "i shook cam merediths hand once", that is sure to rocket you to the top of the heap around here. If you happen to come from a "naturally strong family", you may want to mention that often as well. Good luck. thanks for the tip. my family is not physically strong. we're small, but we're slow. i come from a long line of back up point guards and wingbacks
  7. Well, hate to tell you this...but in my opinion it won't ever happen. I'm thinking he has a few years before some minor program from a minor conference picks him up as a coach and he works his way back to major conferences. Boosters and administration care too much to let him in here though. In the end it really has nothing to do with your or my opinion...it's up to the guys/gals in charge and who write the checks. Yeah I agree our opinions do not matter. I just hope that the people that write the checks are willing to consider his body of work and not his scandal. He has already been out of the game for 2 years. IF Perlman and Dr. Tom think he is a viable candidate, they have MAJOR influence and experience in delegating with NCAA officials. Perlman was chairman of the BCS committee and Osborne in on the new selection committee. They also presented a very good case for Nebraska and orchestrated our move to the Big 10. If they are down, they can make it happen. Who cares too much to let him in here? I am just curious to know what people you are referring to. Petrino was the face of a much more embarrassing scandal and he was already picked up by Western Kentucky. It is only a matter of time before he makes another move. The only reason Tressel isn't coaching right now is because of the show cause penalty. If the NCAA didn't lay the hammer down he would still be at Ohio State (obviously). He was not forced out by Ohio State, he was forced out by the NCAA. If our administration can present a compelling case to the NCAA I think his penalties can and will be reduced.
  8. this pleases me i shook cam merediths hand once
  9. I want Tressel so I can buy a Nebraska sweater vest. WHO CARES if Tressel made a mistake a few years ago? Lots of fans have been quick to forgive Bo for that ridiculous audio tape. What successful program hasn't surrounded by some sort of controversy? If you dig enough you can find it everywhere. Osborne used some questionable tactics to protect his players. Alabama has all sorts of issues with agents paying athletes. Chip Kelly left Oregon just in time to avoid sanctions. Pete Carroll left USC for the same reason. I want to win a gat damn 'ship. Tressel has done it before. Tell the players not to be a bunch of idiots and accept cash and we will be fine. We have a good system in place and we even turned ourselves in for giving athletes free books. I do not advocate being dirty and lying to the NCAA, but Ohio State suffered the consequences of Tressel's decisions and they are still in a better position than we are. Everyone needs to get off of their moral high horse and accept the fact that Tressel is a damn good coach and he knows how to be successful in the Big 10.
  10. Someone give me a basic summary of the demographics here PLEASE. Young guys? Old guys? Bo haters? Bo lovers? What can I expect out of this site?
