  1. Fair enough. I am still waiting on the rationale and evidence for God myself but that is for another thread.
  2. As to your second sentence, it's make believe. He was asked a question about Donald Trump, and responded with an answer about Donald Trump. Per your posts in this thread, am I to conclude that you have a focus on God? You seem to be mentioning God quite a bit in your responses. As to the superstition, I would love to see your empirical findings of how exactly it is superstition. If you have something to say, say it. I can handle it. I already said it. You quoted it up above there ^. It's almost always amusing and interesting to see when people show up throwing their weight around, dismissing others, and expecting to be taken seriously when they have no clout in the community or just pop up out of nowhere. Hmmm, the only thread where I have mentioned God is one with a pretty high religious component in it. Go ahead. Check. It would appear that you are looking to try and promote a false image of me which is pretty typical of one who doesn't like their outlook questioned. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the Pope and God have quite a relationship now does it. I will concede that the pope was asked about Trump so it was a natural segue for him. As for throwing my weight around, I am just giving my opinion. Is there some type of schedule here where you have to wait before posting something that might hurt a more seasoned posters delicate sensibilities? And I am not dismissing anyone. I am merely giving an contrary view. If you hadn't dismissed me so instantly, you would have seen that. Wait.... The pope has a relationship with God? Hmmm. Who would of thunk it?
  3. Well, the rule is on your first day you should go up to the biggest, baddest cat and whup his ass to show everyone who's boss and get your reputation that way. Next he'll show you his crazy eyes... LOL, I think its good tactics to fire a shot across a new ships bow just to see how the sailors respond. Just to see how things work and save some time. It already showed me two completely different response types by board mods and potentially a poster who is probably going to not like me no matter what I post. Recon!!! Do you always yell "LEEROY JENKINS!" before you post?

  6. Are you referring to the Pope, or Trump? They both seem to be good at getting some people to follow them simply by saying what they want to hear. Without a doubt.
  7. If you have something to say, say it. I can handle it.
  8. I don't think the Pope phrased his answer very well . But I don't see how how his remarks are based on superstition. Some reporter asked him a question. And he answered it. : I am saying his manipulation of the American public is based on superstition, not his remarks. And I don't have an issue with the gist of his message but rather the focus he seems to have on Trump. Is he also going to pick apart other candidates for things he objects to? Full disclosure: I feel Trump would be an entertaining disaster for the US so please don't confuse me as a Trump supporter. I just don't feel the Pope needs to single out specific candidates to make a point.

  10. He is using it as a weapon in my opinion because he is either a) challenging Trump as to whether he is truly a Christian or not...which is completely valid as Trump seems to only be playing the Christian card because it has to be done to be elected in America, or b) with the manipulation of using his own outlook to show how Trump should approach certain topics. Its a weapon because the Pope is a representation of a substantial chunk of American voters. I also agree with the Pope's bottom line...but that bottom line doesn't have to be framed with being a Christian and more importantly, the Pope doesn't need to directly call out certain candidates as if to play favorites.
  11. I am not attacking Catholicism. I am saying that the human concept of God...all of them...is fictional. Is that view not allowed here? You are free to hold any opinion that suits you. But this thread is about the Pope's remarks concerning Donald Trump. It isn't the place to troll other posters with snarky remarks supporting your opinion on the nonexistence of God. I should mention that billions of people believe in God. For various reasons. Here is mine. LINK If you want to debate whether or not God exists, start a thread on that topic. Don't pollute this thread. Yes, his remarks manipulating the American public based on superstition. Like it or not, his remarks are exactly what I am talking about. I am not making a case for God not existing. I am addressing the fact that the Pope is attempting to use religion as a weapon here. You are the one being snarky now. Do you disagree with my take? Do you think as a non-believer, this has no affect on me or that I should not have an opinion?

  13. Fair enough. I will tiptoe into the fray.
  14. And I would like to add, I have no problem with Christianity or any religion until they feel they need to push their religion into politics or any other area it doesn't belong. The Pope doesn't need to try and manipulate Americans with his rhetoric which is exactly what he is trying to do.
  15. Huskers did all they could to lose that game and succeeded. Frustrating. That said, games like this is going to benefit the young players in the years to come. The future is bright and will get much brighter if we can just land Tshimanga or similar.

  17. Funny. You stated that almost like a fact rather than an opinion. Much like the drivel the Pope talks about God is stated as fact? And yet here you are sharing your wealth of knowledge in a thread about the Pope. #luckyus And I am not even charging admission. #luckyyouindeed
  18. Funny. You stated that almost like a fact rather than an opinion. Much like the drivel the Pope talks about God is stated as fact? Drivel? Do you mean the worship of God in general? Or something the Pope said about God? Yes.

  20. The Pope and Trump both care mostly about power.
  21. Its hilarious that some think that just calling running plays equals success.
  22. Don't want to rush SS, but we need him back.
  23. After how the battles have gone in the past for big men.. cant say i am super excited about this.... One thing we have in our favor, if he decides it's an important reason, is that we have immediate playing time available if he comes to Nebraska. We'll see though. If he wants to be 'the man', he gives Nebraska a great look. If he wants to be just another big man, then Arizona is the place.
  24. Thats not really the crossdressing teachers style now is it?
  25. Its like Miami was in football. Certainly a test but a game we can win.
