  1. 1. NO 2. I DOUBT IT. I JUST THINK IT'S WEIRD THAT YOU WOULD APPLAUD THEM FOR A CHILDISH PRANK AND THINK IT HAD SOME EFFECT ON THE GAMES 1. OK 2. Oklahoma players admitted later, Bozworth included, that they were basically defeated before they walked on the field, so yeah, I think that played a BIG part.
  2. There was. In 1986 when Miami was #2 and Oklahoma was #1, they came down to the Orange Bowl for a regular season game: “Hello?” “Is this Boz?” Bratton asked. “Yeah …” “Well, this is Melvin f—–‘ Bratton and Alonzo Highsmith, and this is your f—— wake-up call, m—–f—–! And at high noon we’ll see your sorry ass in the Orange Bowl and we’re gonna kick your f—— ass!” As soon as Bosworth hung up, Bratton and Highsmith told Hurricane defensive lineman Jerome Brown of the “exchange.” Brown summoned the entire defense to his dorm room, from which they called the hotel and asked to be connected to Sooners quarterback Jamelle Holieway. “Ja-may-al, come out and paaa-lay-yay,” Brown taunted, “Come on out, Ja-may-al.” When he later learned of the calls, Johnson nearly fell over laughing. And why not? His Hurricanes had won, 28-16. SOUNDS LIKE A BUNCH OF DOUCHES WITH NO RESPECT FOR THE GAME Sounds like a team that scared the living ^@#* out of #1 Oklahoma in 1985, 1986 and 1987, beating them 3 years in a row. YES, BECAUSE I'M SURE PHONE CALLS WERE WHAT DID THAT. YOU DON'T THINK IT'S JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE A BETTER TEAM ON THOSE DAYS? CALLING PLAYERS HOTEL ROOMS SOUNDS LIKE MARYLAND BASKETBALL FANS TO ME 1. Is your caps lock broken? 2. Yes, lock them up for prank calls. Is that a felony in Nebraska?

  4. Remedial Math at the University of Miami is apparently an elective... They offer math? Probably to calculate the number of infractions needed to earn the NCAA Death penalty right? Really don't think you guys should be making fun of academics based on the latest rankings. Just sayin. I think your taking some of these comments alittle bit too seriously. Not really. Trust me, I'm the least bit rustled.

Hey at least you have academics going for you.... because you guys sure as hell dont have football going for you. Can't argue there

  8. I think I tried to warn you guys about that site. It's where I post, and it's the best site for Canes fans, but, not so much for opposing teams' fans. Also, most fans on there (I'd say 90%) are anti-Golden, and are in a horrible mood, so there is no such thing as a civil discussion. It's no holds barred there, where the mods really only look for racist posts, or posts where an actual threat is being made. You can curse, you can name call, you can basically do whatever you want, as long as it doesn't cross the line. It's not for the weak hearted and thin skinned.
  9. Are people really getting worked up over what was started by a 6th string true freshman DB who is likely to redshirt? 6th string? Damn talk about depth. So what is that the scout practice scout team? I have no idea what "string" he is. He doesn't have one, because he's a true freshman not playing. That was my point. Yeah, he's probably on the scout team this year. No idea why he's running his mouth, but, he's the one who started this whole thing. Sorry I missed your point. I was busy talking smack on Instagram. True, my bad. I got so into talking sh!t on IG I think I was calling you out. JK It's alright, it happens all the time. I actually don't have an Instagram. I thought that was for pre-teen girls. Or Miami players. Or Nebraska players. I mean, you kind of threw me a BP fastball there.....
  10. Didn't they (media) say the D was renewed or something? Talking about Kaaya having a break out game? Not knocking. Trust me, I thought we were tops until friggin McNeese St. We had our, "we are not there yet and can't over look anyone moment". Our OL even looked rough against Fresno (122nd run defense IIRC) Unsure if UM has had theirs yet. The media said Kaaya had a breakout game, and he did throw for 342 yards and 4 TDs, even if it was Arkansas State. Golden said he did, but no one listens to him. His "Coachspeak" is worse than most. As for the players, they're not saying it (unless you count the 2 on instagram). As for Miami fans, 99% of them aren't saying it. There was even an article in the Miami Herald which questioned whether Miami's defensive stats were legit or fools gold. The South Florida media either hates Miami or they're shills for the University and act like Baghdad Bob, nothing in between.

At this point I barely care but I can't find what he originally said that sparked all this. It was all deleted

  13. i am not sure anyone uses a FB anymore, maybe Wiscky? We actually have used a FB a lot lately. Not the way they could be. i guess i was thinking in the old school, traditional sense.....?? Miami often runs a two back offense with a blocking FB. We did a lot more under previous OCs, not as much under the current one. Our FB also got hurt against Arky State, and I don't know if he's healthy this weekend.

  15. I don't think Miami (players or fans) is putting much, if any, stock into beating Arkansas State.
  16. I had a shirt when I was in high school (right after that came out) that said "Why Sports Illustrated Should Drop Dead"
  17. Why do 19 year olds do anything they do? Why was your kicker running his mouth? Because your coach didnt recruit him... Seems like a reason to have a beef. Not sure what Westerkamp did to your boys. Not really, but I really don't care. I'm one who believes you keep your mouth shut, no matter what. You might be cheering for the wrong team then. Because 2 guys said something on Instagram? I'm not condoning it, but, looking at the bright side, at least Miami is showing a pulse, and not rolling over and playing dead like the emotionless robots Golden is trying to turn them into....or Penn State. I'm sure it'll backfire, but, after watching Louisville embarrass them (and I'm not talking about on the scoreboard) 2 games in a row, I'm at the very least, glad to see they seem to care and aren't merely going through the motions. Again, not happy with how they're choosing to go about it, but most Miami fans have been complaining about how Golden has neutered the program.
  18. Why do 19 year olds do anything they do? Why was your kicker running his mouth? Because he went from probably being a kicker for you guys to being snubbed when Golden was hired. His beef with Miami is personal, and all he really said was he is not a fan of Golden (understandable) and wants to beat Miami as badly as possible, which I don't really think is considered trash talking. I never said trash talking

  21. Which one is the Miami player? Am I missing something? I hope no one thinks that's Miami safety Dallas Crawford's instagram, because it is not. His is d_crawford25. So, unless I'm missing something, those are Miami FANS, not PLAYERS, talking trash. This much to do about nothing, like your kicker talking "trash" by saying he wants to beat Miami by as much as possible because he thought he was going to Miami until Shannon was fired and Golden didn't recruit him. Edit: I see that's Antonio Crawford. Alright, I got nothing. All I can say is, I hope he backs up his words on the field, because I can guarantee the coaches are not going to be too happy about this.
  22. Is Miami really in this much disarray? I have a hard time getting confident about this game, but your posts seem to indicate you don't think the 'Canes have much chance. I'd say most Miami fans have little to no faith in Golden. Go read our boards. He lost a lot of fans last year when we melted down, down the stretch. Those he didn't lose then, he lost when they came out unprepared, with no fire, and watched Louisville throw up the U and talk trash and throat slash all night in the bowl game, and, oh yeah, beat us 36-9. That, and after giving up more yards than every single team averaged per game, to every team except FSU (and we still gave up 450 yards) and one other team who I forget, maybe FAU or Savannah State, he refused to fire the DC, he lost more fans. Then he flirted with Penn State and lied about it, losing more fans. He lost the last fans he had after the Louisville debacle to start this year.
  23. If we win by 14+ do the national pundits give us credit or discredit Miami? Well, being that NU is the favorite there is not a ton to gain from this game, except for being 4-0. A big loss for Miami probably means that Al Golden will be canned at the end of the year. One can only hope. And, we can we make it Sunday? How about we don't let him on the plane back to Miami? Are you hoping for a Randy Shannon return? Considering all the turmoil from investigations and withdrawing from bowl games, I'd say Golden has done pretty well. More kids have been kicked off the team/out of school under Golden than Shannon. Golden is a more articulate Shannon. That's all Neither can coach, that is clear. Golden is a horrible coach, has hired horrible assistants, and lied to everyone when he tried to weasel his way out to Penn State, going "dark" for a week, while we lost 2-3 recruits. Now, if you want to tell me Butch Davis is coming back.....
