His family went to his other top choices. Although it sounded like he was only at his other choices for a day and a half or so and the fact that he is may be here several days (i.e. May still be here on sat.) could be big.

Calabassas boyS... So far we only have one

I'm sure that the staff was counting on reaching 88 scholarships,or over signing by three, on signing day... That didn't happen so we offered engelhaupt (and may have placed tanner lee on scholarship earlier than planned meaning that maybe we were planning on giving him a scholarship after spring attrition instead of counting him toward the signing day limit). Currently with only having 87 they may be looking to fill that 88th spot if someone of high enough quality presents itself in a position of need. If true, then it's nice to see the staff anticipating the inevitable attrition. It's always a nice success story when a walk on gets a scholarship, but if we want quality depth like the 90s then we can't have all of our stud walk ons be on scholarship.

He has visited already for a game this year with multiple prior visits. I don't know why it's a big deal when he has visited more than other recruits and seen the campus extensively.

Also I hate to break it to you guys but if Calabassas wins their next play off game on this Friday then their next game, the semifinals, is on the following Friday the 27th at 730... Meaning the odds that they make it down for Iowa on the 27th is would be zilch

Well initially in his top seven back in April the only non west coast school was notre dame. So we must have put in some work.

It isn't really about what medical school you go to... It's more about what residency program you go to.. Even then a prestigious medical school may help you if you finish in the top like 20 percentile or if you get honors or high passes in your clerkships but ultimately the bigger factor is going to be the standardized test score since that equalizes everything. Nebraska likes the Nebraska kids. They take a lot from UNL but they also take a fair number of Nebraska kids who go out of state for college. One door that might open is if he goes to an out of state school like cal he might now be marketable not only to Nebraska but also to Cal.

What does this mean for walk ons who earn a scholarship.... Is that still a yearly contract?

Yeah reminds me a bit of Grant Schmidt last year when he was rated high at OT and people were wondering why we weren't offering but wisconsin, iowa, and minnesota might have backed off i don't remeber but they wanted nothing to do with him... Except he ended up signing at Ohio State. So it will be interesting to see how he develops as well.

He may be rated high but it also says something when his only local offers are from illinois, kansas state and well Iowa state. It is not like Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin ext were jumping at him either

It probably means nothing since it is just social media but the kid took down the husker stuff off his banner. It could be like a Burrow situation where we all thought he was decomitting from Ohio State last year when he did samething, only difference is Quayshon is not a comity.
