I'm sure that the staff was counting on reaching 88 scholarships,or over signing by three, on signing day... That didn't happen so we offered engelhaupt (and may have placed tanner lee on scholarship earlier than planned meaning that maybe we were planning on giving him a scholarship after spring attrition instead of counting him toward the signing day limit). Currently with only having 87 they may be looking to fill that 88th spot if someone of high enough quality presents itself in a position of need. If true, then it's nice to see the staff anticipating the inevitable attrition. It's always a nice success story when a walk on gets a scholarship, but if we want quality depth like the 90s then we can't have all of our stud walk ons be on scholarship.
