  1. Whooooos the masterrrrr??? Leeeeerooyyyyy? Movie came out when I was 5 but I seen it. Talking about your avatar sorry. I would think he should at least maybe know what the greatest team in college football history did. Or if he bumps into Tommie Frazier he knows who it is? Idk
  2. I was just seeing what people thought. Im not angry
  3. If you are correct, then it is not surprising we are not a top ten team. Obviously, if high school football stars (frankly we don't invite any 'non stars' to play for us) have no basic knowledge of the schools, teams, coaches and players (past and present) of the schools they are interested in attending, then it is only expected they really won't care much about winning or losing games. You need some basic knowledge and interest in the team, school, program and coaching staffs in order to make any kind of intelligent decision about which college is a good 'fit'. If kids don't have any idea where they want to go to school, then it is unlikely they will come to play with the kind of desire and passion needed to become great players. Whether a team wins or loses is dependent on a number of things. Among the most important is desire and passion and hunger to win! Coaches can inspire the team somewhat but one can't take a bunch of strangers from all over the country and bring them together and turn them into champions if they don't want to be. To become a champion, you have to want to at an intense, high level; well beyond the level of one's opponents. It is not enough to be a great athlete, you must have a burning desire, a yearning and craving for being the best, playing as hard as one can and making the sacrifice to accomplish lofty goals. A team comprised of players with no clue as the heritage of the program is starting without the important motivating source for the drive and effort to become the best. High school athletes who are stars in the local schools have to understand that what was relatively easy in high school will be very difficult and require the utmost effort and the work ethic common to a very small percentage of athletes, and a passion. You bring 85 scholarship kids in and you MUST ensure they desire and effort is there. Thanks for getting it.
  4. ok cool, we can close this topic, back to talking about firing mike riley. Oh wait we won a game so that is taking the week off.
  5. Ego? I think its common sense to know the history or a school im attending. I do the same sh#t for each job
  6. I was 2 when the 85 bears did their thing. I know their roster pretty well just because. Does he know who the first president was? I do and I wasnt born. My panties arent in a twist. I just think its odd, That hes not familiar with it. Ahman green who is that?? He played football here? Who is this tom osborne guy and why is this field named after him?
  7. Like when Will Shields was at practice... was Tommy like who's this guy? was he good at football or something?
  8. Gangwish I'm sure knows about the 95 team? Anyone with a pulse should know about the 95 team? Specially one's that play football.
  9. Well you would think that he would care what happened here before him? Guess i'm crazy... no sense of pride for wearing the N on his helmet? I know he was 2 but he was 16-18 when he chose a school. I'm going to go to Nebraska because its a nice city??? Or National Championships??? nahhhh ... because its probably easier to start at qb here then elsewhere? sure why not
  10. 95 huskers will be honored on Saturday. Tommy was asked about it and he said he was 2 years old and he's not familiar with them. Does anyone have a problem with this? Kind of goes with Jason Peters theory of players not really respecting the banners. I would think when choosing a school one would know the history of where they are going?
  11. I think I'm the only one that likes banker.
  12. This goes for all sports though. Cubs fans, royals fans. Any NFL fan. It's really all the same. Huskers win, people start wearing all husker stuff. Cubs start winning and make the playoffs, cubs fans everywhere, they probably watched 5 games out of the 162. Winning is all the matters for some. If the huskers were 7-0, we would see so many different story lines to talk about. We wouldn't be talking about walk ons, or play calling. Instead we would be playing in later games just like ohio state gets to against Rutgers this coming Saturday. Problem with some husker fans, when they win, nobody says anything. But when they lose all hell breaks loose. I see people on facebook posting all the time when their team wins, but vanish when their teams lose. So it works both ways. Like a certain USC fan i know. they win one game and its OH IS EVERYONE WATCHING MY USC DOMINATE.. Next week they lose and he's no where to be found.
  13. Yep. Lots of people like to say "But look! We ran the ball three times!" But that's a pretty short-sighted view. Yes, we ran the ball. But we ran in straight ahead with our third string RB. In Cross' defense, there wasn't much of a hole there. But he could have at least gained a couple instead of nothing. And that's what happens when you use basically a three tight end set and the defense knows you're going to run it - there are a bunch of defenders really close to the line. A little more creativity and a little less predictability could have gone a long ways. And still would have left plenty of run calls available. UMMMMMM he scores a touchdown if he runs left there..... instead he cuts it back for no reason
  14. Haven't you figured it out yet...when it works, everyone is happy. When it does not work, people question each and every play call.... Where is my like button lol
  15. Everyone loves this drive but everyone knows we did pass 6 times out of the 10 plays Im SHOCKED HUSKER FANS LIKED THE DRIVE since we passed. SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU RUN THE BALL BLA BLA BLA. Seeeeeeee what happens more importantly when you complete passes??
  16. He has been hitting home the 100% in or 100% out. Thinks some players on the team aren't giving it their all.
  17. NEED speed from the DE's. Mcmullen is the opposite of that
  18. Let's not pretend Pelini's team wasn't penalized for the same silly reasons? WE had 16 against Texas A&M one year for 180 yards. Defense looks like it has been tackling better and seems more aggressive. I laughed pretty hard when Banker talked about watching film and described our defense as....3 guys standing there and just rushing gregory. Dline has played patty cake for a long time, its good to see some fight. Just need some DE's that can rush the edge faster
  19. Newbys the feature back unless we play illinois then who the F knows. Maybe adam taylor gets 12 carries this week. Why the f not.
  20. I thought Crouch's reception to win against Oklahoma would be a popular one.
  21. WE can pass the ball and win. We just have to complete said passes at more then 30% rate
  22. Reilly got his facemask ripped off on the sideline pass and it was a no call.
  23. My only question is, how come it is not going both ways? What does it cost for them to throw a holding flag against Collins. Dude gets tackled on almost every play but not one holding call against Wisconsin.
