Funny story, my fraternity (obviously not my chapter since I didn’t go to UNL) stole it from a church and it was used as a fraternity trophy between two groups until my fraternity donated it to be used as a trophy for the NU/MU game. Trophy games are just traditions from the past. MU has like 4 or 5 of them. W/ OU, NU, ISU & KU for sure that I know of. I think the reason the MU/NU is either no really known of is because it’s held and exchanged by two 'secret societies'. If it was one the teams carried around and cheered about after the game it would probably carry more meaning. That and if MU didn’t go into hibernation for nearly 25 years.... Yeah the church it was stolen from is actually in my hometown of Seward...not sure exactly which church. From collegefootballhistory.com:

Same here and I'm sure it will. Gotta love the Suh-per Bowl sign the guy had (even though I'm gonna root against that for the sake of my Bears). I hope the Suh-ism signs continue.

I'm sure it played some sort of role for whoever designed it...I think I remember Epoc mentioning the design right after it came out.

Too little, too late

So I was walking back to the dorm after eating and noticed this parked in front of the building. For some reason, it made my day.

Looks like there are only 2 perfect brackets with scores of 230 remaining on all of ESPN.com. My "upset" bracket has 180 points which is my best score, but also had Texas in the final 4, so that's done. In our group, hskrfan4life is at the top with 180 points. Unlike my upset bracket, his bracket is looking very good.

pretty impressive Very much so. I really like his bracket. Got some good upsets in there. The only thing I don't like is Missouri winning against Clemson. I've learned to never pick a team Nebraska has defeated.

Looks like I put the wrong bracket in this group...I filled out one on paper and it's the only one I really "thought" about. I had the Murray upset on that one. Pretty good games today though...except the K-State game. They're looking awfully good.

That non-jump ball call was crap IMO. That one point Nova gained on that is looking awfully big. But then the guy didn't lay it in for Nova and missed a free throw. I guess it balances out. Villanova playing like this gives me some confidence about Duke beating them though if that matchup happens.

I may be cheating by living on campus, but I'm tied with carlfense; 1.2 miles for me to drive to that intersection. Walking would be .7 miles according to Google. Quickest route to the stadium would be .5 miles (right down Vine Street in front of the Coliseum). From my non-campus location, it's 25.1 miles.

Any team that Nebraska beat either this season or last season will not make a Final Four...therefore Arkansas Pine-Bluff is out of luck. Plus they're playing my almighty Duke Blue Devils...maybe if they were playing Syracuse who lost to division 2 Le Moyne college.
