  1. FIFY. Really? we had the second best offense in the B10 this season. B10 was considered the best football conference this year. Your opinion is truly uninformed.
  2. Soccer is much more dangerous than football, has he railed about that yet?
  3. There are risks in everything we do, you either accept them or walk the other way.
  4. So he is a liar.. Sweet........... Quite probably considering no one else at all reported on it. You do realize that reporters lie a lot, right? And the pressure for clicks is even higher now because you don't have an editor to screen you or support you. Or maybe you have painted such a picture that it didn't happen that when evidence you asked for appears, you scramble into damage mitigation mode....
  5. First "berated" and now "storms" ??? Where is this fictional tale going next?
  6. So he is a liar.. Sweet...........
  7. Yup, that is what he is saying... Are you calling an ESPN reporter a liar because it does not fit with your agenda and narrative?
  8. I believe he mentioned it on his radio segment on 1620 You also conveniently left out that Nick confirmed it with 4 different sources that were at practice. One of them could very well have been Sean Callahan. Where is the mention of the 4 sources? Nick Gregath @NickESPN1480 I have 4 different sources that were at practice who confirmed that tweet.. #huskers 6:14 PM - 27 Nov 2015
  9. Question, Why do Husker fans want to be like that? I do not necessarily think this is inclusive to just Husker fans. I think we are seeing it all across college football. A few examples to make my point; coaches are given only a handful of years these days to achieve some sort of measurable success or they are fired. Schools are ponying up record $$$ amounts to find the latest hot coach to meet their desires of achievement. In the case of Nebraska fans, many of us are emotionally invested in our team and we long for the glory days. We miss the days when Nebraska was feared, always went to a top bowl game and was highly ranked. It been just under two decades now since that level of success, and husker fans have grown impatient and fear slipping deeper into mediocrity. I think the one thing we can all agree on as Husker fans is that want success for our team.......but we all define success differently, and sometimes have opposing views on how to get there and the time it should take. that's not my question. My question is, why do Husker fans want to be like this? You make a conscious decision to have the attitude you have. There are lots of examples of where coaches take several years to realize the success they ultimately get. But, instead of supporting a staff that everyone knows is going to be here for at least a few years, some fans consciously decide they are NOT going to support them and do nothing but rip them constantly. So, to them, it's win now or screw you. So....my question is, why do Husker fans want to be that type of fan? To me, that fan is setting themselves up to be pissed off and miserable most of the time. Are you kidding me dude, what is wrong with you? You cherry pick a lead in statement and say "not my question" then ignore the rest of the post. I answered your question. I guess it was not what you wanted to hear or really didn't want an answer- only a platform to flame throw. You seem to have an axe to grind but you can find someone else to grind with. I read the rest of your post. You said that fans are emotionally invested in the team and are tired of waiting for a championship. But, no, that doesn't answer my question. People who are willing to give Riley 2-3 years are also emotionally invested in the team and tired of waiting for championships. But, some in the fan base choose to express constantly how impatient they are and how they demand results RIGHT NOW!!!! I'm saying, that is a conscious choice people make to be that way and my question is, why? Why do people consciously choose to constantly bitch and complain when they know for a fact this staff is going to be here for at least 2-3 years? I do find it interesting that some people sit and bitch and complain and in some cases simply insult and boo....etc. coaches and players. But, when their actions or opinions are questions...OMG...they get defensive. Kind of ironic. I find it interesting when people truly SIT and do or say nothing. They just shut up and accept their circumstances. Then they wonder how their lack of preparedness & in-action got them in their predicament. Then they find someone nowhere close to being the source of the original problem and place blame on them. As opposed to ironic, that's INSANE. So you would agree that Tom Osborne was the original source of the problem (decline of husker football) because he handpicked his successor instead of allowing the AD to do a search.
  10. I think that UCLA will have no problem piling up points against NU's D. I think Rosen picks Banker's D apart. The only way NU keeps it close is if the offense keeps scoring with them, like NU did against Michigan State. There's no basis for thinking we'll get blown out. Thinking we'll lose, yes.Right. No basis whatsoever to think the Huskers will get blown out. Just like back in August when there was no basis whatsoever to think the Huskers would have a losing season. How do you figure? We hadn't played a game yet with the new staff. We haven't been blown out this year. We could get blown out by UCLA but nothing that has happened this season indicates that will happen. The Miami game was a blowout for 3 quarters, and then they went brain dead, and let NU back in it. Purdue was also a blowout, until NU put up some late points in the 4th quarter. It's a fallacy to say that NU wasn't blown out in any games this year. Way to move things around to fit your agenda. Blowouts are determined by final score. Period. We have not been blowout this whole year. We have been competitive in every single game. If Bo was still coach, we'd have called it a blowout and started lighting torches in the 3rd quarter. Expectations for Bo: WIN GAMES (like it should be for every coach...especially at Nebraska...he failed)Expectations for Riley: Don't get blown out That would be called progress to a goal of winning championships, something Bo never was able to achieve. (stop getting blown out and championships) You have to stop the bleeding to start the healing. The first goal has been accomplished.

  12. I would never doubt the sincerity of the three mosquito's. You are always swarming around and keep getting swatted into goo. snicker
  13. Its called coaching, where do you get "berating" out of it, unless it just fits your agenda of continued Nebraska coach hate. seems odd for a supposed Husker fan. BTW; it was 100% true. Sean Callahan reported on it, among others.
  14. I like the design of his offense. I think with a better QB it will be pretty good. But my issue is how he calls plays. I don't think he has a very good idea of how to fit them all together. For sure the running game part of it. Kind of like he seems to be a pretty good architect but sucks as an engineer. If you had a hodgepodge of players, some that fit what you want to do and many that do not, as a coach it might be difficult to call a consistent game. You might want to wait to judge for a couple of years.
  15. They are pretty good, we need to keep them. Get them some higher quality clay and see what they can do. Is that not the case with every coach in the world? not really.
  16. They are pretty good, we need to keep them. Get them some higher quality clay and see what they can do.
  17. Coaches want to run their system? Yeah that really sucks.. how dare they i guess throwing the ball 30-50 times per game suits you....congrats, that 5-7 season must work for you too. They focused on the strength of the team, better O-line and runningbacks may change that.
  18. Coaches want to run their system? Yeah that really sucks.. how dare they
  19. I don't disagree, but it was a failure of player buyin instead of massive coaching failures The players showed that was true during the Michigan St. game and beyond. I don't buy the "buy in" theory for a number of reasons, but to the extent that's true, that's on the coaches for not properly motivating the team. I won't say more because that whole argument is based on an invention of imagination and not actual evidence. Maybe you missed it when a couple of players admitted it.
  20. Read option, option pass, rollout passing, and designed QB runs, off the top of my head. Yeah, there's that, too, unfortunately. But then again, both Tommy and Langsdorf share the blame on that this season. Tommy regressed fundamentally during the season, which is on both coach and player, and the plays that were called didn't play into Tommy's strengths. Why is it always have to be to Tommy's strength??? What about the strength of the entire team.. Receiver's come to mind. Are receivers involved in these plays: option pass, rollout passing? Yes, so all this bullsh#t that they haven't coached to the strength of the team is just that!

  22. Tom is gone and retired, he had his chance and Nebraska has moved on. I am guessing that Notre Dame does not bring up the vision of Knute Rockne. Solich was fired because he was banging coeds and could not recruit. the program was in a down hill slide. Bo was fired because he was a psychotic prick and lazy at recruiting and as a result, handed out scollie's like candy to walkons. Facts of history
  23. Sooo..what is the magic number for it to be a blowout? 17 or more..
