  1. That is what bothers me the most. I think we are getting very little bang for the buck with him. How is he as a recruiter? Was going to bring this up. He appears to basically be a non-factor in recruiting - other than recruiting kickers, punters and long-snappers. Kickers are people too but that means he's probably only recruiting one guy per year (on average). Can't remember which prominent new-hire head coach said this in the last week but he said he hires an OC, a DC and an OL coach. For the rest of the assistants, if you can't recruit, you don't work for him. Seems like a pretty good strategy to me. That was Will Muschamp, who just got hired at South Carolina. Damn, Bo might never make it back to D1, he does not have a single commit yet and it is mid December. Some things never change. Based on what? This site lists 6, including a 3 star (YSU's first since at least 2010): http://ysu.247sports.com/Season/2015-Football/Commits I don't take much on these boards seriously or personally, but it really irks me when you and others basically claim that Bo didn't recruit, because that is the same as saying "our players suck" which couldn't be further from the truth. We have a great roster of talent. It's up to these coaches to produce wins. And if they can't produce wins with this talent, then some "recruiting upgrades" aren't going to get us to championship form. Maybe it will get us back to 8 or 9 wins a season, which is apparently a firable offense at Nebraska (and we'll be right back where we started in a few years). Of course, because of Riley's advanced age, we may be back to square 1 in a few years no matter what. We have a roster of GREAT talent that has always lost a least 4 games. Teams with GREAT talent do not lose 4 or more games. Ask Alabama and Clemson. Switzer always said it is about "jimmy's and Joe's" truer words were never spoken!! You might want to look into that. Riley will bring in some quality Jimmy's and Joes to go along with the spotty talent Bo brought in and in a couple of years you will not see the travel roster littered with 1/3 walkons.
  2. A ten point loss is only a blowout in soccer and baseball.
  3. Read option, option pass, rollout passing, and designed QB runs, off the top of my head. Yeah, there's that, too, unfortunately. But then again, both Tommy and Langsdorf share the blame on that this season. Tommy regressed fundamentally during the season, which is on both coach and player, and the plays that were called didn't play into Tommy's strengths. Why is it always have to be to Tommy's strength??? What about the strength of the entire team.. Receiver's come to mind.
  4. Bo Pelini But CM doesn't spit Does CM coach at the level of Doane like Bo? Have you been to many Doane games? Because to make a judgement of their level of play, your opinion doesn't count UNLESS YOU WERE THERE, like a "real fan" would be. Been to a few.
  5. He does not have good vision or decision making to be our #1 option. Weird that he is our #1 then huh? That would be Cross, glad I could help you out. Let me know how many games Cross starts for us next year. About as many as Newby. Ozigbo will be the workhorse next fall.

  10. I was watching you paint yourself into a corner, and wondered how you'd try to squeeze out of it. Back to thread subject...My expectations over 5 years is that radar will still be peddling his opinions as facts Good friggen Lord.....like that doesn't happen with anyone else. I'm busy defending Riley against unfair attacks, but when I see a feverish Radar in my corner I tend to back away. I'm a big boy, I don't need defending. You missed the point. I'm defending Riley. Not you. Just guessing their are plenty of Riley skeptics who nevertheless roll their eyes when CM Husker goes off the rails. It's kinda like that. No. It's not anything like that. I haven't seen CM go off the rails. I've never seen RADAR anywhere near the rails. CM knows more about football than 99% of the keyboard jockeys here. He actually played AND coached D1 football. Is his real name Barney ???

LOL

  14. its not for calling them out for booing during the introduction of a husker icon.
  15. What about it?Were fans being a$$hole$ as you put it. I find it interesting you can read Brown's mind based on a facial expression. I don't believe anyone was booing during the comeback so you can make your own judgement if you were even there. There was no smile on Brown's face, just a WTF look so yes I can read body language pretty good. Wtf is not the same as "they are booing at me." Bob Brown thought highly of Callahan and SP. he thought they would be like bob Devaney. He was probably caught off guard that people recognized the screw up so early. What I'm gathering is that youre ok with booing, but not if it's directed at the incompetent ADs. You would be wrong again. I have never booed anybody but a bad ref's call at a game.
  16. On message boards or in the press, sure, I don't recall much booing other than at the ref's during the Pelini era games. Thank you! I reread and realized I read it wrong, I thought you were talking about fans booing Pelini. So the my answer to the question is NO! Pelini is an a-hole for doing it. You are welcome! Sooooo you admit that Husker fans are a-holes and even booed a hall of famer...but that Pelini was an a-hole for calling them out? Pelini never called them out for that. keep trying.... He was just a psychotic a$$hole.

There was no smile on Brown's face, just a WTF look so yes I can read body language pretty good. Still just speculation. It's possible he knew they were booing Pederson, but he made the face because he thought it was still inappropriate. Yup, a guy that had not been back in 40 years and he knew they weren't booing him when the booing started the moment he was introduced. You can take that point of view if it makes you feel better. Or maybe you were one of the boo birds? You're assuming that just because he didn't live in/near Lincoln he was oblivious to the status of the program and the people running it? How elitist of you. I'm not taking that point of view to feel better. In fact, I'm not taking anything. I'm just not naive enough to believe that you can read minds. I'm not a bird -- you need someone to give you one? That is what happened, you obviously were not there, Nebraska fans were a$$hole$ that day and it was shameful. I wasn't there, but I can read news accounts, like how during Brown's acknowledgements and when he mentioned Pederson's name, the boos started up again. You're assuming Brown didn't notice that? Oh, that's right. You KNOW he didn't, because you are in his head... The damage was already done, I am glad you got all the information you need from news accounts because you were not there. might want to read some more.

  20. And bring in his "throw it all over the yard, PAC 12 basketball offense"???? This is freaking hilarious........ People here bitch about throwing it to much and you want the Frost offense????? Of course it is Frost, so he will do no wrong. LOL!!!!Oregon throws the ball less than Riley. This is a known fact. Nebraska threw it 100 more times than Oregon... That was noted above and they did run about 137 more plays for the season also. That would skew things a bit don't you think?
