  1. There you again: another lame attempt at humor; another miserable failure.
  2. I swear, some of these suckers are like high schoolers (Matty Ice & C N Red, to be exact.) Get over it already.
  3. Personally I've been very pleased with our Louisiana pipeline. There's a whole lotta talent here that often gets overlooked by the SEC schools.
  4. Sir, with all due respect...I believe Clemson has only been out of the top 15 once since 2010, and was 17th that year. Only one team outside of the Top 10 in recruiting has won the NC over the past 15 years, and that was Auburn who was 12. I don't know why people don't want to accept that. It's real simple: look at the teams who have won it all recently, and look where those teams consistently finish in the recruiting rankings.
  5. I personally think Harbaugh will be able to sweet-talk him into becoming a Wolverine, but as long as we land our other targets I'm ok w/ it.
  6. To think simply a month ago people were ready to light the torches Last month? Heck I was about to bust a blood vessel last week. Very pleased with the way they've finished after the long dry spell. Lamar Jackson however would be the icing on the cake.
  7. Don't believe our "elite" recruiters have stated this excuse. However, it is an opinion of one of our posters and a more then fair opinion at this point. If NU were to get back to finishing in the top 10 standings yearly and finishing in the playoffs on a 1 of 3 year basis then i'm guessing the opinions of our posters would be that we can compete with MU and OSU for top recruits. In January 2016 finishing 3rd/4th is solid - in future years we can hope/expect better !!! Oh, I agree 100%. All I'm saying is, when we return to the Top 10 (and notice I say when, not if) people won't be using it as an excuse, so why use it now? Heck, Callahan sucked as a HC, but even He landed Top 10 classes.
  8. quote = " We are never going to be able to out recruit Ohio St or Michigan just due to their location" No offense but as long as you have that attitude you're not going to get very far. It's just another excuse. Elite recruiters don't make excuses.
  9. Just curious, why do you guys think Chase Allen will pick Nebraska? Thought he was a heavy Michigan lean.
  10. Haha hey man like I said there's nothing I like more than to be proven wrong.
  11. Farniok is N!! Great news to wake up to this morning.
  12. I said the same thing recently and was told I haven't given Riley a chance to prove himself yet. I learned a lot when he passed up hiring Orgeron who would have been a slam-dunk.
  13. We have actual proof, within our own program's history, that the bolded statement is B.S. What this program needs is to consistently land a class between 15-25, and an elite staff of talent developers.... Do we have that now? I don't know, it's too early to tell, but I do know that Riley was hired with his ability to develop talent in mind. Not true. Over the past 15 years, the lowest-ranked team (in recruiting over a 4-year span) was Auburn, whose cumulative ranking over that span was 12. Not to mention they had a once in a generation QB in Cam Newton. Every other team to have won it all was Top 10 in recruiting. I forget who, but there was actually a poster here who did his own research and found what a drastic difference being in the Top 10 in recruiting is when it comes to winning championships. We might not have needed to have the absolute best recruiting classes years ago when Osborne was coaching, but it's a totally different ball game now.
  14. If you want to win a national championship, you gotta consistently be in the Top 10. That should be our goal every single year. We have to break through and start landing more 4-and 5-star talent and not majority 3-star guys, and the only way that happens is if we have a coach who can coach up our current talent and have a great year (similar to what Tom Herman this past year) and create a buzz around the program that will get top recruits' attention, and then have elite recruiters who can actually land them. Hopefully the 2017 class will be the breakthrough we've been waiting for. Landing the Calabasas crew would be huge.
  15. Nebraska would have beaten Michigan, and it really wouldn't have been close. That's all there is to it.
  16. Not sure why they are even looking at the at the Tulane kid; he's not very good at all.
  17. It actually IS saying something. It's saying that we're trending upward and not down. If you had your druthers, we'd be trending down...which I just don't understand. Fair enough.
  18. Not me at all, sorry. I just have very high standards.
  19. ...and you still can't let it go.......... I knew who screenshotted it. Yesterday I had zero stars, as well. Doesn't take a brilliant person to figure out who voted.
  20. Eager to see all of these people who have bad-mouthed me about being critical of recruiting, bitch and whine when we're losing games with the same recruits. Now let it go. So you're going to have fun when we lose. Great fan there bud. I have fun, win or lose. I was president of a frat, remember? I always prepare for the worst, and that's why you never hear me complain during the season. You can't expect championships when you barely crack the Top 25 in recruiting, which is what I try to stress. So, I sit back and laugh at all the others who ridicule me throughout recruiting season. This year will be no different. now...
  21. I agree, barely cracking the top 25 would be a disappointment but let's not write this thing off just yet. Obviously, to have a successful program you need to have top recruiting classes year in and year out. Clemson is a perfect example as they consistently finished in the top 15 pretty much every year since 2008 and some in the top 10. Nebraska's goal should be, at minimum - a top 25 class every year, IMO. You have to give the staff the benefit of the doubt, GOAT and give them an opportunity to work. Once recruiting is done, then everyone (myself included) will judge the 2016 class and form an opinion on it. Fair enough. Well-said.

  23. Oh, I'm sorry. You're not excited bout our team being bad. You just already know that the team is going to be bad, and you're excited about everyone being upset. That's so much better! Instead of being a bad fan you're just a sadist and/or narcissist. But what's sad is that despite your clairvoyant, higher level of ascension insight about the future of our team, you're still just as upset. You've always known that we're going to be a bad team cause we aint gettin' no croots, so why are you still raising a stink about it? At some point I hope you can find contentedness and just stop bothering being a fan if it's so unfulfilling for you knowing that we'll never be good until we string together several top 10 recruiting classes. Correct. Without several top 10 recruiting classes, we will never return to elite status. You finally understand! I'll always be a fan, no matter what, but I also know that our days of championship-winning football are over until we land better recruits.
