Where is this anger coming from? Riley just landed 2 big commits. We're sure to land a few more by NSD. Why all the pessimism? As I've stated multiple times, I'm very pleased with the last 2 commits. Just frustrated in lack of progress over recent months. I'd like nothing more than to see this class finish strong and finish in the Top 20.

Once again you're making a failed attempt at twisting my words. Learn how to read! Never said I hoped for our team to do worse or not any better. I hope for the opposite, but with weak recruiting classes, like I keep saying, that's not going to happen... which leads to all of you bitching and complaining during the season, and that's the part I'll enjoy.

Can't wait to sit back and watch the meltdowns and incessant complaining over the next few years when we're still not making any progress despite all of these "great" classes. Maybe I'm spoiled because I live in Baton Rouge where they actually have high standards and a 20-something recruiting class would get the coach on the hot seat, not props from message board posters who say what a great job he's doing.

"Big" recruits or not, if we barely crack the Top 25, it sucks. Are you happy when we barely crack the Top 25 in the end-of-season poll? No? Then why are you OK with barely cracking the Top 25 in recruiting? Can we please just let it go? If you're happy with a 20ish/30ish ranked class, all the power to you. I'm not.

A lot of people confuse their negativity for being realistic. You're doing it now. This is the staff's first full recruiting effort at Nebraska. How the hell do you know what they're capable of, and whats realistic? Once again, this all started when I was told by multiple posters that we'd finish in the Top 15, due to all of the resources at Riley's disposal that he's never had before. I said we'd finish closer to 40 than 15 -- due to the poor season we were having (which I was told makes zero difference to recruits) -- and I stand by it.

Not at all. It's just that I usually have a more realistic view than others, not all sunshine and unicorns, and because of that, they often rally against me. Then, when I'm right, they pull the "Oh, you just wanted to rub it in our faces" card while at the same time they complain and rant about exactly what I said was going to happen to begin with.

Not if they know how to comprehend standard English, no, I don't. It's pretty cut and dry. I predicted we'd finish closer to #40 than #15 (which was what I was repeatedly assured of.) There's a big difference between that and hoping we don't land recruits. Heck, I want to finish as high as possible. I just don't think this staff has the ability. I hope they prove me wrong. But barely cracking the Top 25 is nothing to be happy or satisfied with -- it's still unacceptable, in my opinion -- and I certainly won't feel any differently if that's where we land.

I've never said anything even remotely close to that (hoping we don't land recruits). In fact I expressed my pleasure and excitement when both of our last two commits were landed. Once again you're attempting to twist my words to fit your agenda. I also said I won't be happy with anything outside the Top 20. Finishing outside the Top 20 sucks and wouldn't make me feel like a fool at all.

Hate to go back down this road,but man, GOAT is really going to feel like a fool in a couple weeks, well he should already... But...I hope you're right -- there's nothing i'd like more than to be proven wrong -- but you do realize that the only way that happens is if we finish in the Top 20, right?

It wasn't a promise; it was several people claiming that we'd finish in the Top 15 and how I didn't know what I was talking about. It's over with now. The only person who continues to stalk me, just as he did all throughout the season, is the ol' ghost hunter, 1995 Redux. I keep trying to let things go, and he continues to provoke me. I just added him to my Ignore List though, so hopefully that'll solve the problem.

That statement makes zero sense. Ratings are calculated based on both quality AND quantity. There are teams currently in the Top 10 that currently have less recruits than we do.

Not talking just about the Bama posts, 90% of your posts have been the same recycled crap anout the staff not recruiting well, the staff shouldn't have been hired, you would have hired this guy, the SEC blah blah, etc. And 90% of your posts consist of you arguing with anyone who doesn't agree with your warped views. Anyway, back to the topic at hand: Lamar Jackson and Farniok are two guys I really hope we land.

Sounds good to me. There are many intangibles; however. What services we will include in the ranking average (247, ESPN, Rivals?) and also a method of depositing the $500 each beforehand to be "held" to ensure that the loser won't back out. Also can't believe that you guys will be satisfied with a 25+ ranked class.
