  1. Well if Trump is looking to market Straight Jackets or anti-psych meds then this publicity stunt may very well help him. Otherwise, I can't imagine.
  2. I hear ya - I'm just so grateful that it's gotten bad enough that others seem to be noticing. This has been happening for a long, long time - finally it's getting appropriate press and some ramifications.
  3. I'm happy to say that as of today I am not scared anymore. I feel like the last 4-5 days we've turned a corner with people's eyes starting to open about the deficiencies of Trump and the risk we face if he gains power of this country. Yes, as of today I am actually anxious to tune in, to read the paper and see what crazy thing he's done since I went to bed and how off the rails he has gone on twitter, to see who from his party has publicly come out against him.
  4. AND sadly this isn't getting as much press, you know because he kicked a baby out of a presser, had a kid screaming profanities about Hillary at another, was busy accepting purple hearts from decorated veterans etc. But Donald (and his son) made great strides in gaining the female vote yesterday (not). Donald Trump said he is still a fan of Roger Ailes, adding that sexual harassment charges against the ousted Fox News exec were hard for him to believe. “I can tell you that some of the women that are complaining, I know how much he’s helped them,” Trump told NBC’s “Meet the Press” in an interview that aired Sunday. “And even recently, and when they write books that are fairly recently released, and they say wonderful things about him. and Donald Trump says his daughter, were she a victim of sexual harassment, should "find another career or find another company"
  5. Truthfully, to defend Trump with anything from Breitbart, or to hold any of their propaganda in high regard is ridiculous.
  6. All in one place ... horrible to see this but a good reminder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcSV2MkFENk
  7. Top Christie aide comes out for Hillary ... Jeb's came out yesterday. http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/02/politics/maria-comella-hillary-clinton-donald-trump/ But Comella -- like longtime Jeb Bush adviser Sally Bradshaw, who told CNN on Monday that she's left the GOP over Trump's nomination -- said party members can't stay silent amid Trump's inflammatory rhetoric. "As someone who has worked to further the Republican Party's principles for the last 15 years I believe that we are at a moment where silence isn't an option. We are here today in part because as a party in the past we have remained silent when things have made us uncomfortable. Instead of speaking out against instances of bigotry, racism and inflammatory rhetoric whether it's been against women, immigrants or Muslims, we made a calculus that it was better to say nothing at all in the interest of politics and winning elections. For me, if our party has a future, we have to change that trajectory and lead by example. "We have to stop thinking that winning at any cost is more important than governing principles. It should be the job of the Republican Party's nominee to set a tone worthy of being the leader of the free world and not give into our worst instincts. I don't care if it's good politics or not."
  8. Hmmmm wonder if we'll see Ryan and McCain speak out now that Trump has said he won't back them in their elections? https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-refuses-to-endorse-paul-ryan-in-gop-primary-im-just-not-quite-there-yet/2016/08/02/1449f028-58e9-11e6-831d-0324760ca856_story.html
  9. THANK YOU - that made me belly laugh at the end of a very long day. Unbelievable. I assume this wasn't the kid dropping swear words about Hillary. He was allowed to stay.
  10. Are we able to swear on this board? What a giant ass. Seriously, that he even thinks he deserves to stand on stage with a purple heart winner much less take the award from him is just beyond my comprehension.
  11. Totally explains it. I hope he sees the article, it would set him off on another Twitter tirade, which I have to say I really love watching.
  12. When do we get the Trump tweet calling him a "loser"? Before 10am? I think somebody is monitoring his tweets today ... he's been behaving more than usual. It will happen though. He did acknowledge that some bigot politician from Wisconsin running against Ryan gave him some kind words. After reading about the guy he's about as polished and reputable as Putin and some of the others Trump likes. I loved watching him spiral out of control about CNN last night. He loses his mind!
  13. Courageous man - hoping this first step gives others the same confidence to speak out loud about this election. It's going to be an election of decency according to an article I read yesterday ... similar to the 1968 McCarthy campaign.
  14. This cannot be true. I have been reliably informed that Bernie's supporters were going to move their loyalty to Trump.
  15. New polls show 91% of Sanders supporters now back Clinton. http://www.politicususa.com/2016/08/01/republican-dreams-shattered-91-bernie-sanders-backers-support-hillary-clinton.html
  16. Looks like Trumps campaign reached out to try and get some support for the current media attention surrounding his comments surrounding the Khan family: Rob Wasinger, a onetime congressional candidate who has been working for the Trump camp on congressional outreach, sent an email to senior Senate aides saying, "We want to get several member statements out today on this, and would really appreciate your help." A similar appeal was made to Republicans in the House of Representatives, according to a senior aide. Attached to the appeal were talking points lawmakers could use to try to tamp down the controversy growing since last week's appearance at the Democratic convention by the Khans, the parents of U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan, who was killed by a bomb in Iraq 12 years ago. The appeal did not generate any help for Trump.
  17. I'm sure that he's gotten our official letter by now, but found it interesting that he posted his first offer came from Georgia, and the only other he mentioned is Auburn. No Husker, no OSU that he mentions.
  18. Forgive me, I live out of state, is this getting any attention there: "Buffett is the latest business leader to back Clinton over Republican Donald Trump."
  19. So CNN must have aired something good ... 6 tweets in the last 13 mins ...
  20. Hmmmmm - so is he really not as successful at business as he says he is, and not a millionaire, or is he a total crook who has swindled the government? There's a reason he doesn't want these made public. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/08/01/what-we-know-about-donald-trump-and-his-taxes-so-far/?tid=sm_fb
  21. Did you see Pence trying to dig out of a situation where Trumps lackys had denied entry of a reporter to one of his events? Some good quotes on that one, I do think there will be some friction to say the least. His name sadly is going to go down w/Trumps campaign.
  22. It's really worth reading the entire transcript from the ABC interview. I turned off the sound to read it - I don't even have words. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/week-transcript-donald-trump-vice-president-joe-biden/story?id=41020870
  23. No way. That would have taken time away from him analyzing who had more flags in a photo or how many people watched him on tv vs who was at Kaine's speech or figuring out how to make sure George Stephanopolous doesn't ever get to sit with him alone again.
