I like to get the actual game footage so I can do an audio mix, like the KU or the Alamo Bowl, and to have all the angles. But when I can't get that I grab video from the Coach Callahan Show. Which limits the amount of angles you can choose from. The technical way I get the footage is that I have a VCR (that I use as my TV tuner) connected to one of my DV decks which then turns the analog video from the VCR to digital so I can digitize the footage. Thats it.

Here in Des Moines the ISU AD was interviewed about the success of packing the jack this season with 2, count that TWO, 55,000+ attendances. I was unable to attend but I watched it out in Chicago and on a few plays, mainly the perfectly called fake FG, which came about 3 yards short, the crowd erupted and fooled me because I thought ISU got the first down. What was the "nations" turnout like? and did we Pack the Jack for them? My hats off to our crowd once again!

Has anyone gone to the so called Chicken Coop for a NU game? I'm just wondering what it's like.

Maybe I'm crapping rainbows here but, our defense played poorly in one game, and in that game we still won. That says something about the teams desire. And wasn't it the defense that stopped KU to HELP win the game? I'm not ready to throw them, the blackshirts, under the bus quite yet. That doesn't mean that I don't have any concerns with the lack of size, because I do. We'll see how the D performs this weekend but until then I'll reserve judgement. I know NU is a better team overall and should win, but when you add in the home field advantage and the level ISU plays at when they play a good team, we should have a real good game on our hands.

You can never go wrong with Foo Fighters. There seems to be a glitch after Tierre Green's fumble recovery. Pretty sweet though!

how are you getting the footage? mpeg is not a video editing codec so importing mpeg video into a editing program can cause problems. There are "less" professional applications that will edit mpeg. I have a vcr hooked into a deck/camera connected via firewire to my computer and I start up my capture window and start my capturing.

This is not suppose to be an accurate portrayal of the game (obviously). With that said, it may help to take the bad taste out of your mouth. Main Page KU Video
