  1. Nebraska wins big, if they blitz often. If not, Bethard may have a field day.
  2. 3rd and 1 and Langsdorf calls a pass??? Our players have play incredibly well and gutsy in order to compensate for the offensive and defensive coordinators ineptitude.
  3. 3rd and 10 for Minnesota and we finally blitzed...and guess what??? We got the quarterback! Whooo hoooo!
  4. Watch our non-blitz. Huskers blitzed maybe twice the whole first half. I would love to be passing quarterback against Nebraska.

  6. I don't know, it seems like no matter how many defensive backs we have in the backfield, an accurate passer is still going to connect with the receivers. Also, four, slow linemen can't really chase down an elusive, running quarterback too.
  7. Does anyone know the stats on how often the Huskers defense blitzes? Under Riley, it has to be an extremely low percentage, including tonight's Ohio State pasting. It seems like under Osborne, the defense stunted and blitzed almost all the time, especially during the National Championship years of the 90's.

  9. Agree with this post. Tommy totally telegraphed his drop back passes, which is why many of them were batted down and contributed to his two interceptions. This is just Tommy! Most fans, media people, and even opposing coaches accept Tommy for what he is...a great, tough runner and decent, play action passer around the edges. Finally, if Langsdorf does have Tommy drop back to pass, then design the play to have him look to the opposite side of his prime targeted receiver, then to back to his main target...or a pump, fake.
