  1. Seems like our usual go to when a kid leaves but it really does feel that way this time. He just had that tweet about signing in 13 days..
  2. At least a bump of some sort probably. I wonder their order of updates. He's a bit lower rated on their end so may take awhile? Kind of like Delancy possibly?
  3. More fun! Oh what joy it is to steal one from a state that loves him. Despite their universities not.
  4. Or he's earned it and the people of Oklahoma think he's deserving
  5. Coates, ideally tonight after that home visit?
  6. Ah, I didn't look at the weight. That front becomes a pretty lengthy crew with Robinson more in a full time role, Coates rotating, and potentially Riley then. 6'6 across the board as opposed to the 6'2 Davis twins and 6'4 Daniels. Thanks for the clarification!
  7. Did anyone give input of if this is a backup plan for Coates? Do we move on if that one gets secured?
  8. Close the deal on this one and worry less about the DL for this cycle. Wonder if that cuts off Riley's offer or if they'd take both.
  9. Wonder how long that takes to translate over to the composite
  10. As long as he doesn't Ole Miss them I'm good with it
  11. That'd be awesome! Can't remember. He's a 3 for 2 correct? January enrollee or later?
  12. Injury and acclimation to D1 have caused slower progression than anyone would have thought or hoped for. I think he'll be one we'll be fairly comfortable with there next year. Might even be one we miss after he's gone. Ideally those young guys behind him are ready to go next year or the following year but I think Honas will be a good LB for us in his final year. I don't see Muaga fitting that role but he definitely would play a key role in this defense in a different spot.
  13. They can have him, we'll take Coates and a few of the other linebackers we are in on. IMO at least
  14. Not coming off 3 losing seasons you don't. Maybe someday, but for now I'd lean more towards his statement than Saban and Urban.
  15. This kid appears to have become a fan favorite. Hopefully it goes somewhere
  16. The other is 2 for 3 I thought.. This kid, I don't have a clue. Does this kid have a bit of an Alex Davis feel to him? I think if he were to have played against this competition, this is what Davis might have looked like on film too. Could be wrong.
  17. I know he's ILB but we have quite the juco list of LB's right now with Mauga, Cooper, and this kid. Plus Hodge. Again I know they are different spots but if these guys could fill in for 2-3 years that'd be an incredible luxury to let our '19, '20, '21 prep guys have some time to develop without rushing.
  18. That Eteva Mauga is getting a lot of compliments too. Wonder how they prioritize these two.
  19. You're right. That 247 article literally says he'll need to put on some weight and get used to the level competition. I think he'll be special one, but it's been made pretty clear he likely isn't a day one starter. With how hard they are hitting juco OLB's still I think our staff may feel that way too. That being said, he is one big piece we absolutely need and a long term player who can help get us back on track.
  20. Is that a serious statement? Don't know a thing about him, but don't know if that's sarcastic or not.
  21. As excited as I am, this feels like one where if* we can get him officially on board he'll get the hype to be a year one contributor. To me based on what that 247 said and what history shows is that he may need a year or two to really get into a rhythm. Caleb Tannor is one that comes to mind where he was going to be our pass rush threat right away and now 2 years in many have abandoned all hope despite his role starting to grow. I am pumped it sounds like he could be on board, but all the "year one starter" talk makes me nervous and sets this kid up for backlash if he isn't all over the field 8 games into his career.
