  1. Ok, saw this on a board in my home state of Indiana. Derrick Smits, son of former Pacer Rik Smits, is testing NBA but also looking at grad transfer. He is listed at 7'1 but many say he does not play his size. I only saw him in HS games and have not watched him at Valpo. Hard to tell if he could do much vs B1G big men but hopefully in the grad transfer the Huskers can find size...somewhere!
  2. A year ago...needed one (or at least one or more) B1G tourney win to make it to the dance due to schedule strength. This year, I don't know what to think after the last week. A win vs Wisconsin today and it keeps getting interesting. I think the NIT is the future for this team and a week or two ago I thought no way. Funny thing, I live in Indiana and the ridiculous Hoosier fans are wanting Archie gone and thinking IU will decline an NIT invite because it is 'beneath' them. When I went to NU and visited KU for different things, it had the same feel of IU...entitlement, elitism GBR!
  3. Thanks! Actually live in SE Indiana closer to Bloomington...unfortunately.
  4. Enjoyed reading through all the pages and new to this forum. Many of the names listed are ones I have read other places. The Dwyane Wade dream is honestly interesting but I seriously doubt he would take it...at least not right away. Thad Matta would be a great hire with his Midwest ties. A mid-major that I like is Ray Harper. Not real crazy about some of his baggage, but he wins wherever he goes. What I could get excited about, a coach who can get the one and done and make it work with other players. I do not want to see Steve Alford or Kelvin Sampson on the sideline! Dane Fife, that would be a great hire Let's just hope the Huskers can win 1 or 2 at the B1G tourney! This season has had enough disappointment and a few wins to close would be great.
