Campbell took over an Iowa state team that was 4-23 in the Big 12 prior to his arrival. I know 7-5 isn't a sexy record, but you'd be hard pressed to find another coach in the county that would get Iowa State bowl eligible in 2 years.

I know people want Frost but the names we've been hearing have me at ease. If we end up with Frost, Campbell or Fuente, this search will have ended swimmingly compared to the last one.

You referenced that you didn't like Grinch because he's doing it against Pac12 defenses. Chinander is putting up his defense stats against AAC schools, there is going to be a risk with whoever we bring in. I won't write off Grinch or Chinander because of their leagues, they can adapt. Not being a dick, I'm generally curious, if not Frost who would be on your short list?

Good thing Leach doesn't run the WCO. Frost is tearing up AAC teams, you have to take chances - We're not gonna get a proven B1G winner right now. So Leach's ceiling is lower at Nebraska than it is at WSU and TT?

I tend to disagree. Listen Frost would be first on my list, but Leach would be top 3 on my list as well. Leach can have a top notch offense anywhere he goes (like Frost), and Leach has finally found himself a stud DC in Grinch. I think Leach would be very successful in Lincoln. Its a shame people see air-raid and dismiss it. Leach doesn't run an offense that requires top 10 recruiting classes to be successful, in a sense I think that's exactly what Nebraska needs. I know people will be dismissive because its not Frost - but it's at least an interesting discussion to have.

This seems absolutely chaotic. UCLA, Florida and an unnamed school pursuing Chip. A&M pursuing Jimbo. Arkansas, Nebraska, Ole Miss, FSU, Oregon all could be looking for coaches as well. This is gonna be a crazy couple of weeks. Frost hasn't signed s#!t or else his agent is an idiot. He could have 8 offers on his desk by the end of the week.

The feeling I'm getting after listening to Severe, Bishop and Peterson today and reading Dirks article is - none of the local media has inside info, none of them know what Frost is thinking and they feel it's roughly a 50/50 toss up if he's coming home. We know nothing.
