Then it got really interesting as Will Compton responded to the same Tweet that Coleman did above and also used all emojis.  Then Rhule responded to Compton.

And 2024 WR recruit Dae'vonn Hall from Bellevue West seemed to get it:

World Cup or he’s bragging about winning the house ping pong tournament

When Rhule was down in Texas on an in-home visit to Princewill Umanmielen, he at Umanmielen's mom's restaurant and posted a pic.

He probably replied to his own Tweet several days later when Umanmielen committed:

    Must have been spicy.

    These Ozark-like puzzles are fun!

Not when I was there.  A long time ago.  Don't even remember them having Chili tbh.  They were not even doing the Temp Tuesdays then.

I still hit the online menu and would have crushed those cinnammon rolls back in the day.

Looking at the "History of Runza" they started Chili and Cinnamon rolls in 2007.  I was gone before that.

And they copied it from Miller and Paine. Were you there for that?

I don't recall having it as a kid in SD and I haven't seen it in Oklahoma.  A year ago when this was on another tread I decided to give it a try. I went to the local Braum's ice cream store where they also have good chili and make good cinnamon rolls.  A match made in heaven.  Not unlike salt and sweet popcorn or chips.

Yes! I’m trying to covert people here in Louisiana, but the combo seems to disgust them. And these are people who put potato salad in their gumbo -which is awesome and the only way to eat gumbo BTW-but still

  5. If the streak ends, it will not be because of ticket prices. I don’t know if ultimately it will be due to performance. The streak will end because people have other things to do-and most of them are at their house. Exposure to wackos, travel time and just the general hassle of effort, home tvs with surround sound with your personal toilet close by and access to all games-just to name a few. We can beautifully distracted, and even socially connected, without ever leaving the house.

Is this like an amoeba shifting disguising defense? If so I’d like to see us give it a shot. I thought Aranda ran this with success at Wisconsin. He took average players who thrived in this style. It allows hybrid athletes to make plays and confuses opponents. I thought our basic defensive schemes were very vanilla with lackluster players. I think that’s why we would get carved up as it’s like playing a video game defense on easy mode where you always knew you could get yards when needed. This may give us an edge in recruiting this type of defender. I’m excited to see how we do.

I’m having visions of 11 players who are the same size and look exactly alike. We make the numbers minuscule, so they can’t be read from a distance.

    Chaos and mayhem ensue

I read about Michigan's scheme as a 3-3-5.  DC said they can run 3, 4, 5, or even a 6 man front.  Whatever it takes.  Pretty good article.  The bolded appears to be a common thread amongst proponents of the 3-3-5.

I’m going to dream of 10 Lavonte David’s on the field. Just clone him please.

I might be wrong but it seems like most of the new staff have had the title of recruiting coordinator at previous jobs. Is that accurate?

Yes, that was brought up by a few of the radio guys.

but I wonder if everyone’s s chief, where are the Indians? What special skills does s recruiting coordinator bring, especially with other coordinators in the room?

TO played the game better :dunno

And I think you’re forgetting about all the heat he took for a few of those situations.

I’m not saying he was the saint people thought he was. Holding a gun….basically interfering with police investigations until he couldn’t any longer. IMO that doesn’t make him worse than the people/programs who got caught and punished. He just knew how far he could push it.

Some of y’all sound like the unbearable CU fans of the 90s. It was a different, wilder time in CFB. Don’t let the hypocrisy of TOs public persona taint the best era of Husker football. At the time it really didn’t seem all that bad and I think that’s how it should be looked at. Maybe that’s selfish and self serving but there’s nothing we can do about it now except tarnish our greatest era. I’d give my left one to do it all again.

Reading his responses to specific incidents is sickening. -LP didn’t really beat Kate M, but he did hurt her some (Didn’t he drag her down three flights of stairs by her hair and beat her head on the mailboxes?).

He’s also not really a danger to society, but has some issues with explosiveness every 5 months or so. -who fricken says this?

And I personally knew Natalie (Christian Peter) strong young lady right there- to not give in to TO’s influence-although what punishment was served.

and again back to MJ- do you think he  really scaled the outside of his girlfriends apartment to get notes for class? And as in several, or many, incidences to shortly follow, the victim and witness refused to press charges.  I’m sure they were leaned on.

And I’m not sure I’ve ever read these articles with all the incidences chronicled and detailed. I was a college student and was probably at a party somewhere.  But I’m disgusted now and it does change the way I view our program’s history.

This is a bad take imo.

All programs were held to a different standard in the 90s. It wasn’t just Nebraska with these problems. We just happened to be successful in that time period. Probably best to not use 2010s and 2020s standards to judge the 90s in hindsight. Seems revisionist.

But the others got spanked. We got trophies.
