  1. What was Bo "yelling" at Martinez for? Do you know the story GoTigers? I guarantee you ... every recruiter with a lack of integrity will use that incident for their own purposes ... regardless of what the truth of the circumstances are ... even though they don't know the entire story. But I do agree with your post. Perception over truth wins when the whole story isn't told ... atleast that's my experience. SheepdogMark
  2. I've got mixed feelings. I was done with this guy weeks ago. For me ... it's a none issue. I wouldnt' want any player to miss the last home game ... and that of his career. However, with all the mistakes this kid makes ... until he tries to make up for them ... his just a disappointment. With the possible "upside" ... now there is no downside of mistakes. I would think that we have enough playmakers to mix it up ... but our focus has to be opening up some holes on the line and running the ball with authority. If we can't do that against CU then do we deserve to win? SheepdogMark
  3. Enjoyed your post as well schuhbdoo. SheepdogMark
  4. Enjoyed your post BillyBall. How I wish 95% of the "conspiracy posters" would read this post. Fact is ... most of these "fans" don't come back to Huskerboard.com until the next "melt-down". The funny part is the "melt-down" is caused by these so-called "fans" who come out of the closet when the Huskers look like they could be at the top once again. My opinion has and continues to be that this is around a Top 20 team. Now if/when that is being said when we are undefeated then I'm not a Husker fan ... and when the Huskers turn out to be who I thought they were then ... well, you get my point. Post more often .... please. SheepdogMark
  5. Any youtube's of the Osborne hit, the Martin hits? ... saw the gay Aggie guy enjoying his fetish video already.

I feel for Osborne. That's the 2nd time he's a clean, legit hit on the QB and was flagged for it

  6. Must be color blind too... maybe i thought it was clear that i was commenting on the author that the op quoted......i guess i gave you too much credit.... It's amazing how your own words can incriminate you... or how things continue to fly right over your head..... It's all good Fro Daddy ... no conspiracy here. SheepdogMark
  7. Welcome to the board. Come back and share your input whenever you like. SheepdogMark
  8. Actually, his family had a lot of adversity in those years and he stepped up to help his dad. My link This article is a pretty good piece that offers some insight into the kid. Excerpt: Martinez was just 13 when his parents divorced at the end of 2003. His father, Casey, took the split so hard that he slipped into depression. Almost broke, he was in the midst of a career change from teacher to real estate investor. Casey Martinez and his three sons moved out of a two-story lakefront house in a gated community in Canyon Lake, Calif., and into a tiny 600-square-foot house with a rock front yard in working-class Perris, Calif. It was so cramped that they slept two to a bed. The house’s only decorations were the boys’ homework and artwork as well as an inspirational message — “Dreams come true when you work hard and pray” — that Casey had written and taped to the door of Taylor’s bedroom. “We were at rock bottom,” Casey Martinez recalls. Taylor, the oldest son, kept his father going. He scoured the telephone book and made cold calls to help his father find properties to buy. He cleaned the floors with a hand sweeper because they couldn’t afford a vacuum. He took care of his brothers, then 8 and 9, and reminded his father to pick them up from school. Oh your just making this up. Martinez should be stripped of his scholarship. He's such a prima donna. Good post to this troll. SheepdogMark
  9. I think that's a pretty unfair call to be making now... +1 I've worked at three different job opportunities in the past four years ... I guess everyone should know what kind of character I have as well. SheepdogMark
  10. +1 On top of it ... we just don't seem to be good enough to overcome our own lack of execution, mistakes ... and those of the refs. A & M got it done and I congratulate them. After reading threads since 2:00 AM last night off and on during my breaks at work ... I think I'm more questionable about all these posts by fans. Funny thing ... you don't see many of these folks during the week ... guess a loss like this brings out the "true fan"? SheepdogMark ... a little embarrassed by our board at the present ... a melt down ... no ... but wow.
  11. It's a new game guys. It's our home. We expect fairness and move forward. To me, it's just like Remember the Titans, "Coach, there calling a holding penalty on me every time.". "did I ask for your excuses". Were gonna blitz all night ... You make sure they remember foreverthe night they played the Titans." Unfortunately, we have not played well enough to overcome what appears to be a bias ... 16-2. SheepdogMark
  12. I only saw the first quarter of the game, just watched his press conference. Please with my coach and all he said and did. Felt he represented himself, university, players, coaches and fans with respect and holding all accountable. I like what I saw in that press conference especially. SheepdogMark

  14. Enjoyed your words Zoogies. I've read 3-4 threads and have not found much of anything of substance yet. I had to go to bed after the first quarter for a 12:40 am wake up. Looks like we couldn't overcome our QB issues and penalties. I thought they were swarming to the ball well and would make a game of it. 16 penalties by us is amazing. Explain that to me. We must be the new Miami U out there. Can't wait to see the whole game. SheepdogMark
  15. Enjoyed the read. Welcome to the board. A Dallas Husker fan who grew up in Omaha, SheepdogMark
  16. Not a whole lot of discussion of poor tackling and turnovers. To me, our Huskers have to do the one and not the other. That will be the key. SheepdogMark

  18. I'm very traditional when it comes to football. The original Big 8 will be missed sorely. Having said that, after the Lil' 10 implodes ... which I do think happens ... this move will look brilliant ... and it will be brilliant. The Huskers fit here ... and somewhere down the road when ND takes the jump, I hope MU gets added and I'm good with losing OU and TU. OU made a bed with TX that I can't stomach ... and TX is TX ... my God, they fly the Texas flag as high as the US flag. To much pride for a simple man. SheepdogMark
  19. Enjoyed the video ... thanks for posting. Reminded me of the Dorian-Beckman recruit from Hillcrest, MO. Much to be excited about here. I like the size and frame ... I think he would be a good possession receiver in college as well as spread the field. I'm curious to see how his speed holds up. Doesnt' seem to have a big burst for seperation for the college level but obviously schooled much at this level. He would have a frame to be a good blocker as well, should he have the heart and desire to become a complete WR. SheepdogMark
  20. I don't know about this guy. If you watch his video highlights at about 1:10-12 into it ... he tackles the QB and kinda headbutts him or uses his head and hands towards the QB's head. He will probably get suspended for to many games should we land him. Oh wait ... we will be in the Big Te ! I'll still wait with hope. SheepdogMark
  21. These eyes haven't seen the inside of Memorial Stadium since 1974. I was 10 years old. Should I ever get tickets to see a game there ... why I'd like to have my wife and three Baker boys present to experience what I remember so long ago. It stirred my heart in a way that actually has my eyes wellin' up. I'd be much like Knapp ... enjoy a bear, talk some football with a bunch of Husker faithfuly at a tailgate party ... then file in to the stadium and then it's all about football. Oh how I would like to see my Huskers one time with my family before I die ... to be able to go, afford it and take it all in. I think then my kids would understand why Saturday's I'm on the computer or TV or radio following my Huskers ... they'd understand why I follow recruiting everyday ... they'd understand why I get frustrated and agonize over what is or what would have been ... they'd understand that why 40 years later I still bleed that red ! SheepdogMark
  22. I love seeing that big ! It's just so cool! SheepdogMark
  23. Ya, agreed. I could look at this in a number of ways. For now, I'll assume that the staff has it all figured out. SheepdogMark
  24. Can't find a replay on ESPN 360 out of 25 games. Looks like I might have to settle for highlights on NU/KU.
