  1. Who is Eleven warriors and why do we care what they think? not being snarky, just asking...
  2. The loss of that player will hurt for sure..
  3. Sucks for them, hadn't heard that. I still think they, like you said, make the dance. EDIT: I also think Tim Miles is not a good enough coach, and the teams continued crappy play bears this out.. better players or not.
  4. Maryland has a better RPI in and out of conference than Nebraska does.. and they are 13-3
  5. Exactly, but UCF fans will still cry, while ignoring the real reason why. Move to a p5 conference and see how things go..
  6. I originally picked Northwestern in a close game, and I still think it will be close, but I am now leaning towards an NU win.
  7. wow, I left to run a couple errands after Auburn scored their second score of the second half... I come home to see UCF up by 14... unreal. A loss would not have meant much, but a win against Auburn means a helluva a lot!
  8. My take on all this.. it doesn't matter who wins, it means nothing to NU or says nothing bad about Frost, if he does lose. Frost, at worst, will be the equivalent to a 9-3 season for a certain number of years. He very much has the ability to take us to an NC, so we let me have his time. It could be 10 years, but I believe he will do it. Of course in that 10 year time frame he will bring us back to top 10 material... imo.
  9. I don't really care who wins, but it is football, so I will watch.
  10. A guy I went to school with, who know lives in Georgia, is going to be there. Saw a Frost husker T-shirt.. I wish they hadn't done that, but whatever... sick of the UCF crap at this point.
  11. Lars Anderson said on twitter there could be up to 15k huskers fans at the game.
  12. My opinion at the end. I am thinking 6-10, maybe 7-9 in the remaining games, putting NU at 16-15 or 17-14. We shall see how right/wrong I am.. Would LOVE for Tim to prove me wrong by more than a game or two more in the win column. Tue, Jan 02 Northwestern * - at Rosemont, Ill. 8:00 p.m. BTN/BTN2Go ▪ Radio ▪ Live Stats. 13. So, Nebraska had trouble with the mighty Stetson Hatters... The good thing is they won.
  14. I wasn't comparing him to anyone, let alone Almeida. I do not think he has the ability to grow into being the big man NU needs.. constant foul trouble happens for a couple two reasons.. lack of overall skill and flat out poor judgement. Jordy is both, but his judgement can improve, if the coaches can bring it out of him. I have seen this in players before, they lack the skill to keep up, so they resort to fouling.
  15. Well, skill level is just a tad important, but your point is valid for sure.
  16. Well, Tai and Jordy are totally different, skill level wise, at Tai's early years. It is VERY hard to first start playing basketball at such a mature age.. you can still learn obviously, but you have to have the ability to make up for that lost time. Tai had way more ability, just made dumb decisions. Jordy is lacking in both areas... Right now, he has his size, and that is it. Tai was soo timid it really hurt his game, a bunch, but once he was able to come out of that shell he gained confidence and flourished! just my opinion
  17. For basketball at this level, you are correct, as far as getting "extra" time being a factor... it won't make much difference at all. Jordy would have to work on his game every day for years to make up for what he missed as a kid. In the short time NU has him, he won't get much better.
  18. and KU and CU are totally different teams this year compared to last year. https://www.bloggingthebracket.com/2017/11/1/16424558/big-ten-non-conference-schedules-college-basketball-2017-18-analysis-rankings-wisconsin-purdue National Ranks Team Average Schedule Strength Natl. Heading into year six, Miles is on the hot seat. And while this schedule, featuring five home games against teams in the bottom 100, is designed to get Nebraska off to a winning start, it might take some upsets to get the Huskers back to March Madness. Nebraska’s exempt tournament is particularly tricky, as for the second year in succession, they’re participating in an ESPN event that features a local participant. Complicating matters, the Cornhuskers will play UCF on day one of 2017’s AdvoCare Invitational—while in 2016, their game with UCLA didn’t occur until the semifinal stage. https://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-basketball/ranking/non-conference-sos-by-other Another sites take for this year.. 19. At that point, more practice time really isn't going to help much. Basketball is totally different than football (I know you know that), you have a lot less number of plays to work on.. and less fundamentals as well. The main point being, they will have played close to 30 games by that point, a few more won't make a difference in the long run. I think, mentally, a win in the NCAA would be much better for this program and the players.. I, personally, think they end up a game or two over .500.
