Sorry but I'm not buying it. They might be improved, but they're not "much better." Seems like every season or two we play down to an inferior team, and then someone talks about how much better that team is from the year before. I remember back in 2013 when we barely beat Wyoming in the opener, and people were saying how much better Wyoming was that year and that they'd likely win their conference. They ended up 5-7. I bet Memphis blows S. Alabama off the field in a couple weeks when they play.

Honestly, I can't disagree w/ that assessment, based on his performance today. Even in the postgame presser he looked like he was sleepwalking or had been huffing glue or something

The S&C improvements that we've heard about sure weren't evident today. We got pushed around by a Sun Belt team.

OL looked like 300-pound marshmallows. No intensity, no burst, no push. Gonna be a long season unless they improve quickly.

I have faith in Frost; I just don't want him to sugarcoat anything. I need some sort of explanation for Martinez's performance other than "he had an off day" because I'm just not buying it. Next week will be very telling.

I just hope Martinez didn't fall victim to his own hype. Hopefully today's game will be a humbling experience and he'll come out next weekend with something to prove.

I will say this: I've been to 5 Nebraska games in my lifetime, and we're 5-0, so we've got that going for us next weekend
