Any AD worth his salt has done his due diligence. If TA hasn't sent 3rd-party feelers out to gauge interest of prospective coaches, we're in trouble.

If we bring him back, it tells me one thing: none of the guys on Trev's short list were interested.

Somebody earlier actually mentioned the possibility of bringing Tom Herman in as OC. Some Nebraska fans are seriously delusional. If you were Tom Herman, and you got a call from Nebraska, and it wasn't for the HC spot, wouldn't you be incredibly insulted? To keep Frost, ALL of these must happen: 1. Must beat Wisconsin and/or Iowa 2. Must get a top-notch transfer QB, such as Rattler or Brennan (NOT a transfer from Southwest Missouri State or some crap) 3. Get rid of all the crappy assistants, starting with Austin & Verduzco 4. Hire an experienced special teams coach 5. Revamped offense

No way would Herman accept an OC job. Heck, he might not even accept our HC job.

None of these close losses against Top 10 teams matter when you also lose to teams like Illinois, Purdue, & Minnesota.

This team fights, I'll give them that... but they'll never get over the hump with this current staff.

That didn't guarantee anything. We could've stopped them on their ensuing drive. Had them 2nd & long and allowed them to get into FG range.

Argue with me all you want, but the decision to kick a FG rather than go for it on 4th down deep in Buckeye territory cost us.

I disagree. If the refs were against us, they easily could've given their WR the one-foot catch on the sideline.

Stop blaming the refs. Plenty of calls went our way. Had to do more with poor special teams and choosing to kick on 4th down, deep in OSU territory.

Let's see if they've learned anything. Doubtful.

Problem is, it's going to be incredibly difficult to piece together a 90-yard drive like the one we just had. We had our opportunity to take the lead, and blew it by going for a FG.

Martinez was doing well on the past couple drives, prior to that pass. You don't give up deep in opponent's territory based on one poor pass, in favor of a garbage FG kicker. Dumb.

Again, I've reached out to several members to the coaching staff about my team's current kicker, who is first-team 3A all-state in Louisiana and would love to receive an offer..... he's heard nothing

And THAT is why Frost is on the hot seat. You have a beautiful drive and then instead of going for it, you try a FG knowing how piss-poor our STs are.

Our OTs are so darn bad. If Martinez has time to throw and plants his feet he does ok
