i hope it's fickel, but my final guess is rhule or campbell campbell is only 42 and just as good of a recruiter as mickey. if you can combine them both you might have something.

i don't think we would have been interviewing rhule last week if fickell was the guy. if you have a deal with fickell you didn't need to waste time talking to rhule

why would fickell leave a team that just made the CFP in his home state to come coach arguably the worst power 5 team of the last 5 years.

i feel like it will be rhule or some backup option. and i dont think the backup option is mickey. guessing backup option is campbell.

we are 9 point underdogs...that would be a horrible plan. also mickey pretty much outright said he hasn't been offered the HC job.

when you factor in that the new coach will get at least 6 mil per year + plus the 7 we gave to frost for no reason, we should have had no trouble hiring a top notch coach that we could have paid 13 mil in the 1st year.

if you're trev, isn't your only concern how can i keep my $1 mil per year job for as long as i can? at least that would be my biggest concern. in that case my top guys would be urban, fickell, chris peterson, rhule, aranda, and campbell. guys that have played in bcs and playoff games. makes you wonder how eichorst though mike riley was his best option to remain the AD...

yea. thank goodness we didn't get the coach who has recruited top 10 classes his whole career and has more experience than any coach under the age of 50.

i still like the idea of stealing matt campbell from iowa st. if nothing else, matt and mickey could get some amazing recruiting classes.

if matt rhule was on campus then he's the next coach. no other coach has been spotted here.

i'd rather have campbell than rhule to be honest. he has a top 25 class at iowa st. campbell/mickey combo could easily pull a top 15 class at nebraska. he was also winning a lot of games up until this season.

i don't believe rhule has any clue how to turn this program around, and he just wants to quickly take another job before he becomes irrelevant.
