Send the terrapin back to the station with a “L”  >> That sounds like a Grateful Dead reference.  Yes?

Yes it is. Our kids middle names are after GD songs.

  2. It’s Friday night, time for some spiked Koolaid! Get out yer cups boys!

Tomorrow night, around this time, we will all be on HuskerBoard under the game time thread saying things like:

    - “Where has this been all season!?”

    - “We’re on pace for 8 sacks.”

    - “Wow! What a hit!”

    - “Scoop and score baby!”

    - “Who needs a kicker?”

    - “How are these guys undefeated?”

All as the Huskers put up 476 yards rushing and 183 yards extra rushing (as passing won’t be an option - ha!) for 659 of total rushing offense!  They’ll score 5 offensive TDs, and score one on a defensive turnover, and one on special teams. The halftime score will be 26-9. The final will be 46-22. 46 because we’ll miss 3 extra points and a FG.

Then, we’ll win the bye week.

After that, the rest of the season plays out as follows

Pound IU like the round ball school they are.

    A week later Wan’Dale > Rondale

We’ll win our 2nd bye week

    Beat-up a Beat-up Wisconsin by 21

Send the terrapin back to the station with a “L”

Push Hawkeye off that cliff on Vormir (to avenge the death of Black Widow and avenge the teams who came and lost before this one) Long Live Red Skull! He’s GOT to be a Huskers fan.

    10-2

We’ll get beat by OSU in B1G (because I haven’t drank enough yet)

Win our Bowl Game against a pathetic Pac12 team that just happened to slaughter Colorado in the regular season (Just to prove a point!)

11-3, lots of crow for dinner around the country.

    DRINK!

I might go back and watch last years game tonite.  What impact newcomers does minny have this year? Or they pretty much the same guys?

Just watched it. Mostly the same guys. They were really young last year, similar to us this year. They look improved on offense, but look the same or worse on defense (watched a bit of each of their first 3 games).

What is apparent is that @ZMagers22 must be closet CU fan with a long history of perusing CU fan sites.

Hahahaha! Be careful, them’s fighting words. I grew up in Colorado and went to high school in Nebraska. People always ask why I’m a Nebraska fan if I spent more of my life in CO. I tell them “I didn’t even know college football existed until I was a Freshman in high school.” :D Not exactly true, but I didn’t care about it until all my buddies spent every Saturday watching it and the town literally shut down during game time. I was #indoctrinated... HA!

I don’t want to read all 4 pages or watch the videos, can someone tell me if we had really good practices and are focused and ready?

Same thing as every other week “Best practice yet. We’re a young team. They’re learning. They’re hungry. They take it week by week - (but with new phrase ‘one week season’). Some guys are hurt. Some guys are sore. Some guys aren’t sure they like classes lol that much. One guy caught the “HIV” from some CU fan. Next man up (not for the “HIV”, but for the start of the game).

    I think that’s about it.

    Dear new HuskerBoard owner,

I understand why you put ads on the page, I really do. However, this ad above is disgusting, disturbing and as a Huskers fan, you should understand how much it pisses Huskers fans in Colorado off. Do something, anything so that this proximity ad is removed. I’m sick of seeing a GD CU Buff every time I click a thread. GET THIS GARBAGE OFF MY SCREEN!!!!!

These kids want to play. It’s a new generation. That’s why you’ll never see a real striving walk on program like we used to. These kids should be going to UNK.

    Go Lopes!

Are you insinuating that kids from previous generations didn’t want to play? I’m fairly certain that isn’t the case. That desire was always there. When you have the right culture, people want to be a part of that culture because they know how they contribute. That hasn’t changed much, and won’t change much from generation to generation.

For example: We’re not even 2 years into the HCSF era and the walk-on program is already showing merit and promise again. A walk-on just kicked the game winning field goal. That walk-on chose to give up his scholarship at Air Force to walk-on at UNL.

20 years ago, I would have walked on at UNL in a heartbeat if I was good enough, but I wasn’t. However, I had the chance to play basketball for UNK and I chose to enlist in the Air Force because I knew that meant my career was over. I thought I’d use my time wisely to give back through service to the country instead (just in case you’re wondering where UNK ranked on this former potential student athlete’s radar).

I just checked, and apparently LoperBoard.com URL hasn’t been used yet. You should start a message board there. If anything, you won’t have ads and it should be fairly easy to maintain with minimal traffic.

I’m teasing, I’m teasing... UNK is a good school. Many of my close friends went there. They always talked about how crazy it was to have an eight man football team in college though. I can’t even imagine that league. Hope the Antelopes are doing well this year!

Hows the atmosphere.  Wanted to catch a game this year and wanted it to me Minn with my brother but i dont think hes going to make it.  If i went it would be solo.  Kinda would like to know what atmosphere im walking into.

Well, it’s not Boulder. Roughly 50k of us survived that experience, except for Karl. Anyone seen Karl? He ran off with two cross dressers he met on Craigslist. Boulder’s a strange place kids. Proper PPE required.

Hadn't looked at the forecast, I think that actually helps us. They're a good running team, but not a great one - I think their best chance would be their receivers going off on us, and that's less likely in the sleet. Makes me extra worried about the snaps too though. Some of the catches on the snaps will not work if the ball is wet, not to mention the potential for the snaps to be worse.

    And the fumbles

  11. Maybe the most important thing over the last 12 game stretch is that this team is 11 points from being 11-1:

    2018

    OSU - 5

    Iowa - 3

    2019

The team out west - 3

We’re 3 points from being 5-1 this year. Here’s my prediction going forward:

    Minnesota:  NEB 49 Minnesota 38.

Minn has barely won most of the games they’ve played. They are the only team in B1G with an easier schedule than the Huskers. Huskers will have 2 turnovers and that will be the only reason this is close.

    Indiana: NEB 35 Indiana 31

A healthier Huskers team after a bye week will come in to challenge an improved IU team from last season. It will be close, with both teams having a chance to win at the end of the game. The rest week for NEB will be the difference.

    Purdue: NEB 52 Purdue 31

Purdue is beat up and they have 3 more games before they play the Huskers. Two of those games will be barn burners. They’re going to be tired.

    Wisconsin: NEB 28 Wisconsin 24

Wisconsin plays 4 games, with only Illinois being a lock for a win. They play Mich St, OSU and Iowa. They will be beat up and exhausted. They will also lose two of those 4 games. This battle will be hyped as the battle for potential B1G west champion. Blood will be in the water. A well rested NEB (after another bye week) gets the win.

    Maryland: NEB 35 Maryland 34

This is the game that worries me most. Maryland will be coming off back to back losses to Mich and OSU, but they’ll be rested after their bye week. This is a “Trap” game.

    Iowa:  NEB 42 Iowa 17

As it should be, to win the west at home by crushing the throats of the most overrated team in all of college football.

    B1G Championship game: OSU 35 NEB 21

We’re not there yet, but we keep this one closer than the first one.

Bowl Game W and Huskers finish 11-3. God help us all

The argument against this is Vedral hasn't played with Jurgens as much, and not in games at all, and therefore isn't scared to death every play that the ball would fly over his head. He might have been less nervous just for that fact alone.

That’s only an argument if you think he’s been on the sideline drinking sodas and eating chips every game. I know for a fact that you know better than that. We agree on nearly 98% of these threads. Vedral sees what is going on, and spends the same amount of time watching film. If anything, he’s had more time in the HCSF system and is more confident. You have to be very decisive and move very fast. Everything is fast. His quicker first step is getting us an extra yard or two each play on QB keepers. That makes all the difference in this system.

There is something wrong with Adrian. Adrian is not the same player he was last year. He’s is coming across as apathetic.

  13. 17 hours ago, Hayseed said:

He'll play a lot better if he doesn't have to run the stupidest plays ever.

Those plays seemed to work just fine under Vedral, so long as the snaps weren’t high.  He was getting first downs. It’s a change we need AM looks apathetic. Vedral is moving with intent and desire. They looked entirely different.
