  1. Um says who, you? Again, a respected espn Mlb journalist stated bo and the starlings got into it, initiated by bo. Again, people whose job it is to know the facts/details laid them all out clearly on rivals. Excuses, revisionist history, and 2+2=9....ahh the land of make believe one lives in to be a bo supporter.
  2. To be clear, there was plenty of dignity as I phrased it. Non contributors need a helping hand to other opportunities. I didn’t say bring them in say thanks, scholarship is gone good luck. I made it clear we should assist in finding them another SCHOLARSHIP opportunity, might not be d1 but they will have a scholarship somewhere. Pretty straightforward and shouldn’t have been controversial at all. I’m just glad to see it’s being done finally.
  3. Several articles are available with google. Peter gammons still has a general tweet up about it. I got more details as part of the rivals board at the time after gammons tweets. Not from general posters like you or I but people that make their living off knowing, as an example Sean Callahan.
  4. I guess I forgot to mention too when he brought a rapist or two onto the team at YSU, made natl news. https://footballscoop.com/news/bo-pelini-plays-convicted-rapist-malik-richmond/ oh wait, how about that time starling let them know he was signing Mlb. Bo, and the circus crew hopped in the car road tripping to kc. Upon arriving at a Hs kids house started doing cookies in the yard throwing beer bottles out the window and at the house. Bubbas dad had to threaten to call the cops before they drove away. Peter gammons did some really great reporting on the incident. So sorry not to impress you but assaulting someone is probably down ole bos list a bit. I mean gee, what a high character guy, right?
  5. No, I’m not perfect. I can say I’ve never almost assaulted a referee on natl tv, never taken a flamethrower to my former bosses institution, nor had the home team pa ask that police come get me off the field. I know enough of the guy I feel confident on my statement or I wouldn’t have said it. my opinion you obviously have yours. Like I said, I’m grabbing popcorn and watching the show. I like Ed O, but am pretty sure he’ll regret this in the short term.
  6. Idk, maybe because of MRs last class and Scott’s first we are suiting up underclassmen almost across the board. Specifically hurts on the oline and front seven on the dline. This holds even more true in the big10. I’m not down on the team, I’m acknowledging where we were when he took over with the previous 2 coaches being complete clowns
  7. Jesus couldn’t have said it any better. The previous twenty yrs are a heavy lift to overcome. On top of that he essentially 70-80% of MR last class and his first. Anyone that thought he’d mirror UCF level turnaround here wasn’t paying attention to the details and going all on emotion. Turnaround will come but it will be more gradual I think. I don’t see that as defeatism, I see at as being realistic and understanding what frost is working to fix as he himself is only in yr 4 as a HC.
  8. Again you have your opinion I have mine. Curious why you didn’t reference the defense, while HC at this pwr five gig, that he took full control of, was largely a disaster. We take that into account or nah? Also, strange you didn’t include how he was about ready to get run out of his fcs position as HC, a position he took because he had nowhere else to go, nah. most curious is referring to his ego, attitude, and general being a s#!t human as “media relations”. again the best part of this is we get to see it play out. I’m grabbing popcorn.
  9. Fair enough, I didn’t take you as being a d!(k fwiw. I disagree, not a shocker, but we will find out for better or worse.
  10. No, I’m actually glad he’s back in the pwr five so I can watch him fail, the jet sweep is alive and well
  11. So if we could ignore his attitude and piss poor defenses he’s put on the field for the last 10-12 yrs. sure. Wouldn’t it be great if our work history were all looked at through a lens of not only 4-6 yrs but also pick our most successful. Raises and promotions for everyone.
  12. Sorry meant to say pissed. Many on here were against transition non contributors out under any circumstance less than a felony charge. This gives them and us the best situation to succeed.
  13. We wouldn’t want him back and he wouldn’t want to come here, regardless of the HC age. Bill belichek himself could be the HC and wouldn’t matter.
  14. Weird you have no idea how much $& I give and have given. I wouldn’t be the only one.
  15. I’m not saying we can’t but anyone saying 9 wins+ is continuing to ignore holes that are still being fixed in the roster. I expect new starters on the oline, possibly 2. Dline, while higher upside and athletic, are young and inexperienced, same for lb. wr room while exciting is completely unproven. On top of that our schedule is much more difficult than last yr. again not saying it can’t be done, we’ve been close to many over past two yrs, but I’m going in with 6 wins expected.
  16. It’s happening. Appreciate the years boys, but time for you to find a better fit and time to give others an opportunity. Boy there must be some of you just passed at frost, holding kids accountable and all.
  17. First, what I’m saying is it’s a tougher grind to go through the big10 than the aac. Pretty indisputable and is different than beating 1-2 good teams a yr, think Boise st. I’m not dismissing the accomplishments of that team but there is a reason a 1 loss pwr five school would have been in the playoff instead. Do they go undefeated, 1 loss, 3.... I don’t know but would have been much harder. My other point was momentum was easier to come by as you faced much easier schedule with UCF having better athletes. Also, did UCF lose 60-70% of their prior class to transfer, or their first class....likely no. Way to hard to compare the two. on the recruiting side. They’d been talking to a number of them just many of the hire rated players liked the staff but wasn’t going to commit to a g5 school, Nebraska changed that. I know they were on Smith, legrone, and mo as well as others.
  18. I’d pull all $$ and support from football at the u until he was gone, similar to my reaction after we shat the bed at home against a subpar UCLA team with a 21 pt lead at half. I’m not sure why ppl are talking like they’d want him here. We (majority) don’t want him back, and bo and the university really don’t want to be back/bring him back.
  19. It’s really more like 50/50 but do carry on.....I’m really having fun watching the usual suspects re write history in which you completely blow past the bo led teams that have fielded a sub par defense for the better part of a decade....instead focusing on the 3-4 seasons a long time ago.
  20. They can dig their own grave. every sec school is currently pulling tape of the multitude of beatings his defense gave up, plenty of tape to look at. Oh, and every freaking one of them is putting the jet sweep in their playbook. one more reason to cheer against the $EC
  21. You can’t begin to compare the situations at UCF and NU. For starters, ucf was only a few yrs removed from double digit win seasons, not the case here. Our culture had been eroded over the last 20 yrs, UCF 3-4 yrs. also, getting some wins early, this starting to build confidence leading to buy in, is much easier in the AAC then the big10. You put those same UCF squads in the big10 and they have, minimum, 2-3 losses. Recruiting wise......many of the kids they’d been evaluating while at UCF, it’s not like they had no idea who these kids were. I think bigger than that the kids followed frost, and the recruits didn’t have a chance to evaluate the school/location. MW was a unique situation that I think the coaches were well aware of the red flags but took a leap. It backfired but just as easily could have worked out. As pointed out many transition classes struggle more times than not.
  22. Reading comprehension is key. I said bo caused more damage than any of the others and in that sense took a back seat to the others. if you’d like to go there too, Callahan got a gig in the nfl almost immediately and has remained there employed. Bo could potentially get fired from YSU. Hmmmm.
  23. Really deep thoughtful response. Way to address any of the very factual, accurate reasons why he was the WORST of the last 4 HCs at Nebraska. The idea that the last few responses have been that he was the best recent HC just isn’t accurate.
  24. It’s Happening. Non contributors in yr 3-5 are being managed out and helped along. Thank you to all those that chose to come here but it may be possible a smaller school may work better for you. Just opened up another 3-4 scholarships. Maybe we get a few more. i hope SF can sleep at night knowing some of you wanted the dead weight to stay here indefinitely.
