  1. Yah, Callahan should just curl up in the fetal position sucking his thumb all day never sticking up for his program and instill a little attitude and pride...Good call...
  2. "I’m encouraged by the fact that we lost our No. 1 guy (Joba Chamberlain) on Thursday, then pitched our No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 guys, and still earned the sweep," Anderson said. "That’s about all you can ask for." Didn't even realize Joba was "lost"...When did he get hurt and what happened?
  3. Was the talk of him being let go after the Big 12 tourney or after the NIT?
  4. Didn't really expected them (NU) to win, but for some reason i noticed one thing watching this game more then anyother.....Speed. Nebraska just seemed so slow and unathletic...Sure this isn't news, but it hit home more so than any other time watching this game.
  5. Be nice if Nebraska gets some big leads this year so Beck and other QBs can get in and get some "real time" experience.
  6. Seems a bit odd how diverse the college baseball rankings can be. One poll has Nebraska 23, another 11, and yet another 4....Baseball America has NC State, a team in which Nebraska has already beaten this year, ranked higher at 18, while having Nebraska 23. Suppose as long as Nebraska stays in the top 20 this year, can't complain too much about it though.
  7. I think we will be a better team even though might finish with a similar record to this years. Still say we are a few years away of being consistently "good".
  8. Wonderful, thanks, I live closest to the Minsky's North...Have to check it out sometime..
  9. Does anyone know of any Husker hangouts in the Kansas City Metro area? This would include bars, restaurants, sports bars, etc etc.....Moved here from Omaha last December, still trying to find a place to have some beers and watch a game with fellow Huskers.
  10. Don't see any problems with players learning multiple positions as long as they don't let up on the "actual" position they are assigned to play.
  11. It's a bit of a toss up for me. Can Collier not coach, or does Nebraska just have average talent at best and does not give Collier much to work with? Is Collier's recruiting poor or is it just the fact that not many top notch players want to come to Nebraska?...
  12. Kevin Keitzman What a jerk. Is he the jerkoff that cohost with Steven St. John on 810? If so, he is the reason I don't listen to 810 and stick with 610 and the DA Show. He does the afternoon show on 810 along with todd lebo (a OU fan) He puts down Nebraska every little chance he gets. But he is steven st johns butt buddy along with jack harry. Yah, suppose 30 years of getting your ass kicked would give some people a bit of animosity.
  13. You gotta give credit where credit is due. Gruden as the HC had a lot of pull in the players that he brought in, but it was Callahan that took those players to the title game. And who knows what would have happened the following year if numerous injuries wouldn't have decimated that team. Not many teams lose the starting QB and league MVP and continue to have success. Look at the Eagles this year for proof of that. Not necessarily saying Cally didn't build the team, but Gruden did quite a job assembling those players that BC took to the Super Bowl. If Al Davis had given more control to Callahan, what would have happened the following years? Appears BC has a little better eye for talent than Al does. gruden has done a dynamite job at tampa these past couple years, who built the team gruden took to the super bowl? ...Funny how all we hear is how Callahan brought Gruden's team to the the Super Bowl, but we never hear how Gruden brought Dungy's team there also that same year....
  14. Kevin Keitzman What a jerk. Is he the jerkoff that cohost with Steven St. John on 810? If so, he is the reason I don't listen to 810 and stick with 610 and the DA Show.
  15. I am saying this as if I was the one making the decision....BUT....I personally would rather wait a couple months and go to a team that is much more prepared to win NOW, plus still have a good shot of starting rather then going to a school were the football team kind of sucks but have a good shot of starting...This seems like a no brainer to me, but who am i....don't answer that..
  16. ..Funny how many teams in the Big12 always use Nebraska as a measuring stick whether or not the situation has anything to do with the Husker program or not...I live in Kansas City, and its a pretty sad state that these KSU, KU, and MU fans live in and the local sports radio is worse...All that matters is having something better or being better than Nebraska, who cares about winning any other games or titles, as long as they "showed" up Nebraska. It's pretty pathetic if you ask me. Missouri would rather get "up" and beat NU twice in 3 three years (and tear their goal post down both times ) then win any other game during the year. KSU has a couple good seasons in 100 and they think their sh#t don't stink even though they really don't have anything to show for anything, and KU..Well, if i had my choice of the 3 to be a fan of, i guess it would be them, they seem to be the less mornic of the 3 groups.
  17. I am still trying to figure out how they even managed to have a few good years in the past 15 or so...How does a school, with no tradition, a town near an Army post with not much to really offer even get talent to come there? Then you have to deal with their closet fans....
  18. and what 3 out of all of those are callahan scholarship recruits. The rest are either franks or walk ons. Must be just awful to be going through what you are going through with Callahan here and all..*sigh*..I feel your you...........hmmm, actually, not really....
  19. Ok...but ask yourself this question. Why? If you look at the strength of NU's athletic dept., the money, the fanbase, the recruiting base, and the University MBB can't be respectable, even (gasp) ranked. Texas, OU, UCLA (albeit debatable there), Florida and even Michigan at times have had both an above average progarm in both Football and Basketball. No excuses. Collier has every opportunity a coach coming from his background could possibly want. Get someone else to run this thing. Not exactly sure what i am asking "why?" for...Just saying, without being technical, that it would be nice if Nebraska fielded a decent basketball squad.
  20. You know it is one thing to lose, but when you are consistently losing ugly, that is another story...I really don't expect this team to go out and beat the likes of Texas and Kansas, but for gods sake, at least be competitive!
  21. Want to coach for a jackass (although rich and powerful one) like Al Davis again?????? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2326498
  22. Not being a fan of either team in the Super Bowl, it seemed a bit obvious that more of the calls went in Pittsburghs way. There is holding or at least a penalty on every single play, so when the calls seem to be more one sided it tells me the refs are looking harder towards one team. Just my opinion.
  23. Well, that doesn't stop recruits from going to USC and Texas knowing damn well they are loaded at every position.
