  1. He would have to compete for the starter job and their would be no guarantee that he couldn't be beating out.
  2. I think if he gets us to 8 wins as a freshman or a bowl game then fans will already look at him as a savior.
  3. Yes I did we aren't better then Iowa State rn bc of the losing.
  4. And you don't think that with Raiola's ability and him being the number 1 high school qb that he isn't betting on himself to be successful?? This is the whole reason why he is coming here bc he believes in himself and wasn't going to sit at Georgia or any other school.
  5. When you mentioned years your meaning a couple we have had 7 years of losing that's half in a generation. Yes blue bloods have had off years but they tend to get back on track. We haven't yet.
  6. Yeah he can block as a offensive lineman. Must be enjoying those Omaha steaks lol.
  7. As a overall program yes we have had more success but in this generation we aren't a better program then Iowa State. That's the problem Nebraska has to win to get the respectablility back. In this generation most of the kids never got to see Nebraska win so by what they go off of is are we a winning program rn? No we are not but we can when we eventually start winning but you can't hold yourself to say we belong to be mentioned with the Michigan's and Ohio State and lose to the Northwestern's of the world.
  8. I just don't think it will be this year with early national signing day being next Wednesday but crazier things have happened in recruiting so you never know
  9. Yes Baker was a five star but he never lived up to his potential bc the coaches put him on defense. I think if the coaches would have decided to have him play offensive tackle he would probably be playing in the NFL and we would mention his name more.
  10. You asked a question and posted it. I answered no need to be a grinch. Was only helping you out.
  11. I think that even if Sims had a successful season NFL scouts would have wanted to see more consistency out of him. It wasn't like he was tearing up the ACC before he got here.
  12. I woke up this morning and started to think that bc of what transpired this year with the qb's play on the field this is exactly what needed to happen bc if Jeff Sims did come here and succeed I don't think that Nebraska would have been in the position they are in to gain his commitment. Raiola has a clear path to play early and my belief is that he feels he is ready to start bc of his ability and bc he was able to pick up 4 different offenses in high school. Yes their will be a learning curve once he hits college but other then Tommie Frazier and Suh coming here this is the biggest recruiting win we have had for a decade. Can't wait to see him play bc he is being compared to Patrick Mahomes and that's says a lot.
  13. Tommie Frazier is the NFL's Greatest What If hosted by former running back Steven Jackson. Was he the best Nebraska football player ever??
  14. Yeah I've been wondering the same thing if Nebraska still wants to bring in another transfer qb or is ok with the qb room. I wished Nebraska would have went after DeQuan Finn bc he truly is a dual threat qb. He completed 63% of his passes for over 2600 yards with 22 td passes and 9 interceptions and he carried the ball 123 times for over 500 yards and 7 rushing td's. He's dangerous in the RPO system bc of his quickness. Unfortunately Baylor, and USC are after him along with Michigan.
  15. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/georgia-adds-new-2024-quarterback-amid-swirling-dylan-raiola-rumors Georgia added another qb a walk on bc of all the uncertainty around Dylan Raiola. I don't think their qb room is hurting. Three star qb Colter Ginn. If this isn't evidence that he is coming here then I don't know what is. Why would they have 3 qb's this cycle alone along with Carson Beck and another qb from last year which is the backup this year. 5 qb's smh.
  16. You couldn't have said that point any better. Totally agreeance with you.
  17. No think about it. When Nebraska first talked to him(McCord) Raiola was not in the picture. Then while being on his visit news broke about Raiola that afternoon. You have to think that Raiola hit Rhule up and said I plan on visiting over the weekend plus I have really have strong interest to join the team, and he said things didn't go as planned at Georgia like I planned. So then after they talked while McCord was still here at the end when McCord and Rhule talked he wanted a guarantee that he would be starting next year and knowing Matt Rhule he said I love to have you but we got the number 1 highschool qb coming in and it's anybody's to lose. So McCord had to not like that answer and news broke he wasn't going to commit to us after that. Thanks for the nice visit to the campus but no thanks on the qb situation.
  18. Not right now were not. We are right at the level of BYU and TCU. Iowa State is better then us which pains me to say bc yes weaker conference but they did beat number Oklahoma State this year at number 22. I can't remember when was the last time we beat a ranked team.
  19. That sucks. Figured once we didn't get McCord then we weren't getting him. Nebraska needs playmakers badly on offense. Matt Rhule can't expect Raiola to come and put all of the offense on his shoulders like what Frost did to Martinez. Hopefully they actually do get a playmaker at running back and wr otherwise expect a long season with the pieces we have in place.
  20. See Garden city probably didn't feature him much in the offense. Good luck finding a proven wr. You come to Nebraska to redeem your career haven't you learned that by now. Jk.
  21. I think the first phone call or meeting was we like you to come here and be the starter but it all changed once Dylan came back in the picture.
