Not enough play yet to say Alante is better but I don't have an issue with them both out there working short/medium routes (especially while Vokolek is out). Also allows Palmer to work deeper which is his strength and leaves ICG/Washington in more one-on-one which any receiver benefits from. Jet sweep also becomes a decent play with the duo of RJ and Grant. Also don't have a problem with more multiple back looks to get Grant, Allen, RJ & Ervin (if he is healthy) plays.

No disrespect to Alante. Thompson is at his best when he makes quick decisions on short and medium routes. RJ can be another viable target for Thompson's pass strengths and take some focus off the RB's who are sure to start drawing more attention.

Would be surprised if OU is ranked at the end of the season. At this moment their RB's (which is usually a strength for them), WR's and DL are not special; not bad, just not anything special. Their top two rushers from last year are gone. Four of their top five WR's from last year are no longer with the team. Their top three sack producers from last year are gone. They have a transfer QB (Gabriel from UCF) starting, a head coach in his first year as a head coach and their most tenured coach was fired a little over a month ago for repeating a racial slur. They are headed out the door of the Big XII so they probably won't receive favorable 50/50 calls. I don't see how OU holds it together this year.

Yesterday Frost said RJ is working at receiver and learning so who knows.

Will be interesting to see if Lutovsky gets more snaps at RG. Wouldn't mind seeing other options at RT too.

Georgia Southern looks small. Nebraska will put together a complete game having spent the past couple of weeks at home and taking UND a bit light.

Gonna have to be aggressive and blitz more to help the defensive line get in the back field rather than getting beat up front and letting the opponent's running backs get downhill or expecting the secondary to cover for a long time.

I still vote for Luke Fickell... wanted Nebraska to make a move for him last year.
