  1. I’ll have to think about that. My screen name wouldn’t be nearly as hilarious if I did
  2. This has nothing to do w Nelson but go check out what I posted on the DC Tony White thread
  3. I just met him personally. He is a super genuine friendly guy. Shook my hand and I told him thanks for taking the job. He said you’d have to be crazy not to want to be a part of this program. I figured that would be the end of our encounter but he proceeded to stop and talk shop with me and asked me if I saw the Carter Nelson commit and I was like, “I’ve might of heard something, he’s good right?” Just kind of had a laugh together. Super f#&%ing cool. He also might have mentioned that there are a couple more high profile croots that will be announcing soon.
  4. Don’t let them get to you @Huskerfollower4life. I personally find your posts entertaining and husker board would be a lot more boring without you. You do you
  5. I can’t remember what thread it was on or who posted it but it was a discussion on tough running and violence and we haven’t had that in a while….we have it again. Check out the 5 minute mark on his highlight. He de-cleats the defender and sends him at least 6 feet! Mmmm…violence… https://247sports.com/Video/Kewan-Lacy-Lancaster-2022-junior-season-highlights-11664692/
  6. The rating system is very subjective IMO. You have “experts” evaluating growing/developing kids. That said 4 of our top seven commits for ‘24 are literally thousandths of a point away from being 4 stars. I wouldn’t worry too much if they don’t have a 4 next to their name. As far as I’m concerned Rhule already has his 7 blue chip recruits that some on here arbitrarily insist we need to be successful on the national stage
  7. He’s already got watermelon calves, kid is going to be a beast.
  8. Yep looks like you are right. FTR so was I. It’s like man, if all you’re going to do is look down your nose at the Huskers and other posters on here that just want to have fun talking football why are you even here? Not everyone is going to agree, I like civil discord but at the end of the day no one likes to be condescended to. It’s like where did big bad Herbie touch you bro?? Lol, whatever…
  9. In @Husker816 defense he did admit he was wrong a couple days ago which is more than can be said from a lot of posters on husker board
  10. Was it the same duder that said we won’t ever have the blue chip recruits to compete on the national stage ever again??
  11. One of the most exciting prospects in my opinion. Super clean route runner and if you watch his hudl highlights the first half dozen or more all go for long TD runs after breaking at least one tackle. If it’s not a TD he’s dragging guys for another 5 yards after contact. Shifty runner that can break tackles?? Yes please!
  12. If we don’t do the little things better then yes you are correct. That goes with out saying. A) I believe that’s unlikely as Rhule is a little things coach. B)I’m gonna put my tin hat on for a minute…the Solich curse has been broken so a lot of those one play eggs we always seem to lay that kills a drive that would have given us the win won’t happen anymore! All joking aside if we start recruiting better which we have, do the little things better which we will, we will start winning. We start winning, we will start putting together top 10 or even top 5 classes that you are talking about. Sprinkle in all the NIL money and new facilities and juice around the program, the future is brighter for Nebraska than hoping to be another Minny or Iowa.
  13. Politely, I disagree. Our problem hasn’t necessarily been recruiting, and under Rhule it appears we may do better than we have in a really long time. And that will only get better if we start winning. What we have lacked is a “it’s about the little things” detailed and analytical coach that can develop and Rhule is definitely that. The day I think that the Huskers ceiling is to be on par w Minnesota is the day I stop watching college football. Let the koolaid flow my friend
  14. Neither of you are wrong, but I would say listening to a lot of these kids talk it sounds like they do their homework and know the history of Nebraska football more than what I would have given them credit for. I hear a lot of people say Nebraska football is dead and we will never be as good as we were or even relevant on the national stage. To them I say look at Alabama and Georgia. They used to be irrelevant not that long ago, then they had great coaches come in and turn things around. Devaney did it here. There’s nothing that says Rhule can’t do it here as well
  15. Knows what he wants no waffling, related to Green, hard worker, everything we could want in a Husker uniform!
  16. Not that it matters now but curious, any speculation on why we moved on from him initially? From the outside looking in it appears that he was really thirsty for the Tennessee offer because of the WR they are producing. Wonder if Rhule and company didn’t like that? Again doesn’t matter now but the whole thing is odd.
  17. Yeah I would assume back in the dynasty days most in state kids came here. I would be curious if it has happened post Solich
  18. Seemed like an awkward interview… especially the part where he says Nebraska is home, but then said he felt like Nebraska wasn’t home and wasn’t even taking Nebraska’s calls. maybe he learned a valuable lesson, the grass isn’t always greener.glad the switch flipped for him and the Huskers. Hope this one sticks
  19. His routes are ankle breakers for sure. Could be really dangerous by giving Simms another legit read out of the backfield as well
  20. agreed. Aside from the top 6 we could potentially land 7 of the top 10??! That’s legit for a first year coach.
