  1. It’s a hard choice right?? There so many layers to this onion. At the risk of sounding like a madden quote, if your offense capitalizes on big plays by your defense and your defense makes big plays to give the offense scoring opportunities, you win football games.
  2. Agreed and for the most part the defense did that last season (post chins) with the exception of the Michigan and Purdue games. At the end of the day I think the defense will show out, the big question mark for everyone should be, will the offense execute and sustain drives that help the defense out, score in the red zone, score off turn overs/ big stops by the defense.
  3. This. Also last season was such a mixed bag. As soon as Busch took over the defense was markedly better, but then the offense went completely anemic. Nebraska has had, for the last 2 decades, major issues with both sides of the ball playing well at the same time its uncanny. (See how many times the defense gets a turn over and the offense s#!ts the bed and goes 3 and out; conversely the offense busts a huge explosive scoring drive then the defense gives up one of their own, etc etc.)There are easily 7-8 wins on the schedule if we simply play complimentary football.
  4. I’m telling you guys, this kid is special and he will be a star
  5. Kid is extremely underrated. He should be one to keep an eye on
  6. Not sure, but I would guess fairly soon, it’s blowing up all over the inter-webs

  8. Yep, we have plenty of speed and skill. We need line men on both sides of the ball
  9. Yes definitely. Soften them up w Lacy then blaze ‘em with Durham.
  10. Maybe, but how are the flyweight running backs working out for Nebraska? Id rather have a back that is bigger, more shifty, that runs great routes, and can break tackles and punish the secondary. This kid has a bunch of tape of him running really fast untouched through big holes, which is great I guess, but it’s not the reality in college football especially the B1G. If we get him, great, no doubt. But I think we are sitting really good with the back we already have
  11. Tbh I’m happy with the RB we already have in this class. I’ve seen enough of the 5’10 190 lb speedster backs at NE. Lacy looks custom built for the B1G and already has the size and speed for the next level.
  12. Something to ponder… maybe Rhule knows something we don’t about this Oline. Maybe now that the frat boys are gone and there are adults in the room they have really developed the guys we already have in the offseason. Could be why they are going after all these skill players? What do you all think?
  13. My point was that your fan base quit doing it when the team became losers. What happened to the class? So you don’t understand the difference between us applauding a team that didn’t give up even though there was no hope of winning vs fans not applauding the losing team that has been cocky douche canoes the last decade or so. Got it. you’re either mentally deficient or the worst troll ever. Prob both.
  14. Only an Iowa fan would get butt hurt for an opposing team’s fans showing some class towards them after they just got their asses handed to them. SmH

  16. All of this ^^ shoot if we do just a couple of the things I mentioned we could very well win 8 games
  17. -Win, lose, or draw I just want this team to break the trend of s#!tting the bed at the worst possible times. -Stay mentally tough and focused. Meaning don’t take our foot off the throttle if we have the lead. Also have the fortitude to be able to make adjustments to come from behind and pull out a win. -If we lose, it’s because the other team was better that day and not because we beat ourselves and handed them the game on a silver platter. - PLAY ALL FOUR QUARTERS!! Anything more than that will be icing on the cake as far as I’m concerned for year one
  18. Yes, you’re absolutely right. I was getting ahead of myself a bit. What did we take last year like 28? We have a little room to add more but yeah we will likely drop a few spots
  19. Yes you’re absolutely right. Time will tell, I don’t think Rhule is done yet…
  20. “They have adults running the program now” that says it all right there. BTW this 24 class is the best class we’ve had since 2005. Callahan put together an 8th ranked class. That’s fire!
  21. I am very excited about this commit, even though TE have not been much of a factor for us in recent years with few exceptions. I really hope Rhule and Satt will utilize the giants they have been bringing here. He’s what 17? He will definitely grow another inch or so. He can also catch in traffic which is huge. That said I think the most exciting commits for me personally are Kaelin and Lacey. We have had inconsistent accuracy at the QB position pretty much since I’ve been alive (I feel AM comp percentage was padded by the 30 sweep passes for like a yard we threw a game) And Lacey brings a hard nosed shifty back, something we have been lacking for a bit. Time will tell but the future of this offense appears bright.
  22. Thanks a lot. Just made me spit out my beverage on that one lol
