    Not all credits transfer from school to school, and yes getting used to a college/city makes it progressively easier for a student to cope and adapt. Common sense, dude.

    Wrong. Even the most skilled Freshmen should rarely start, or be put into tough mental game time situations until at least halfway through a season.

    Weird take. As previously stated, I think he'll be good to great by season's end -- just don't think it's wise to start him in Game# 1, a Big Ten West game, against a team we should be able to beat in a very low scoring contest.

    Could be wrong, but I see the kicking game as being more important tonight than perhaps any other game this season. Minnesota's relatively weak offense yet strong defense is going to put the spotlight on the kicking game for both teams.

    I’m seriously concerned with our kicking game / starting a freshman. Tonight this could matter GREATLY. I hope he’s ready for the spotlight.

    They won’t have to be an air raid team. Their D is tough - I doubt we see the endzone more than twice tonight.

    Different team, different culture -- this season's team is playing with a ton of pressure, regardless of what the coaching staff or media portray. Freshman goes 0-3 or 1-4 on FG's vs Minny. That being said, I believe he'll be very good by end of this season.

    Alvano goes 0-3 or 1-4 in FG attempts vs Minny. He'll be solid by end of season.

    Big risk starting a freshman as kicker. Rhule should have eased him into it.
