  1. Hard to believe we were playing a game there 5 days ago....
  2. Which is why it's so important that Fox Sports 1 continues to grow and strengthen to offer a viable alternative to ESPiN
  3. I read the article, and I find some truths and some flaws in it. My entire point is that the SEC is the best conference in football, however they are not vastly superior as the polls and ESPN would have you believe. Yes, they are overrated, but they are some mediocre conference pumped up to be the best. They are a conference that is a little bit better than the others, and is pumped up to be WAY better, which is not the case. ESPN is a sports entertainment network in addition to news, so they create their narratives to generate ratings.
  4. Next year is the first year of some semblance of order in regards to championships. It is my hope that they eventually go to 8. Each of the "Big 5" gets its champion in, as well as 3 at large teams. That's my hope.
  5. </div> This statement is the best statement in the entire thread.
  6. Me neither. IT sounds like the only real exception would be like a lower tier from one to another....like Indiana to USC, or something similar.
  7. http://tamu.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1574580 This article is about KEvin Sumlin at A&M, but it really explains why it's so rare that a coach moves from a program in a "Big 5" conference to another. WOrth the read.
  8. Unsure on: Auburn, A&M, Georgia, Miss St., Mizzou, Tennessee,
  9. It isn't just about "cheating" it's about bending the rules. Teams like Bama that have upwards of 30 "staff" members that are an extension of the coaches or oversign like nobody's business have an enormous advantage. It's one thing to oversign, but if they don't qualify, that's actually a pretty smart decision. Don't really know much about the coaching, but if it's not against the rules, then who are we to argue? They use the resources they have to win. That's the point, right?
  10. Vegas doesn't like to lose money. They are incredibly good at keeping it. They have the best record for predicting games, etc based on odds. They don't care about polls, etc. Just a interesting point.
  11. The numbers from the BCS era do not agree with your assertion whatsoever. Which ones? If it's just overall record, that is teams like Tennessee vs Oregon as much as Alabama vs nobody. Not a true representation. You REALLY want to know the best indicator? VEGAS.
  12. You know, the whole "they're cheating" cry gets kind of tiring. To assume that a) The SEC is cheating or b) No one else cheats is naive.
  13. Line Up every conference, from #1 on down, and see how the results play out. SEC #1 vs B1G #1, SEC #2 vs B1G #2, etc. You'll see SEC win most of those. No, I'm not saying the SEC is going to win 90% of the time, but they are a better conference. The other problem with this guys stats is WHO is playing. Ok St (a favorite for the B12 title) vs Miss State (Who will finish <500 this year?) That's not a legit matchup. As far as Georgia is concerned, they are missing ALL of their starter skill positions aside from QB and 1 RB. Is the SEC overrated? Probably a little, but to claim they are no different from every other conference is not true either.
  14. OU is TERRIBLE. How they had a 10 ranking is beyond me. Baylor is good, but they aren't top 5 good.
  15. Sure. I mean, it was a co-south division championship, but I'll agree it looked bad and rivals got miles out of making fun of it.
  16. Maybe Mizzou isn't terrible? Georgia missing half it's offense Florida has no D Tenn sucks All in the east.
  17. I look at Nebraska as a team that has the talent, just doesn't execute. I feel like it is a team that SHOULD have run the table this year. Meatchicken just seems meh. I think this is a 10 point win by Nebraska.
  18. Ha ha! We hate every team that doesn't rhyme with Alaska. No worries though. Compared to the Whorns, aTm is quite popular around here. I agree with NUance. We were just getting after you because you were talking win-loss records. Totally fair, and of course, no matter the reasoning, retroactively claiming national titles, legit or not, just looks plain silly.
  19. Ohio State will win the National Championship for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 seasons. Well played, sir.
  20. Lol. Guess I should have done some research before posting a fact I saw in twitter. I look quite foolish! Sorry, gents. Wow, tons of A&M hate on this board, eh? Oh, better wins since 2006 than A&M has had? Did we forget about beating Bama last year....in Tuscaloosa?
  21. No duh the SEC recruiting classes are and will be loads better than everyone else - the entire system is crooked and fractured with zero accountability, while the rest of us play by the rules (for the most part). If you think that the SEC is the only conference who cheats for recruits, I have a bridge to sell you.
  22. http://outkickthecoverage.com/sec-recruiting-classes-for-2014-will-be-best-ever.php For your perusal.
  23. Fun Fact: The last time Ohio State beat a Top 10 Team was 2006.
  24. I'm no fan of tOSU, but this is funny right here! Blue star for you, sir!
