The group about ignoring Kirk is over 100 people now on facebook. It continues to grow, and is spreading aroung the UNL campus pretty well right now. I have contacted the Daily Nebraskan about it, so hopefully it gets some more pub. Chanting Go Huskers and Husker Power, but whenever Kirk talks, let's literally ignore him. Take out the Daily Nebraskan, put it in front of your face, and read or pretend to read it. When he's done talking, put them down, pull your signs back out, and go crazy once again. Whenever Kirk starts talking, of course continue to do this. this could be a legendary thing in Gameday's history, if 15,000 people went dead silence for however long he was talking. So show up at Gameday on September 15th before the show starts at 9 am, with the DN in hand." I know not everyone has a facebook, so for those who don't, make sure you let as many people as possible know about what's going to happen. This isn't a mean thing. This is just a joke after he cried about the 95 team not being the best of all time. I think it's funny how people are against this, saying we've won national championships, and naming other facts in our storied tradition. It's funny though, because twice in the 90s, against Colorado, the posts came down. Once in 92, another time in 94. Now 94?!?! Hmmm. Didn't something bigger happen that season? Oh yeah, we won the national title. People who say this is above the program or bush league, I ask you why? Is it because you think we would get a bad rep? Because sCUm did it once, suddenly it's a horrible thing to do? People don't look down on fans who do this. This is the biggest game in Lincoln since OU in 01. This is the first time we are playing a number 1, non-conference opponent since 1977 I believe, when we played Alabama. We have struggled the past few years. We have watched every streak go by the wayside, except for the sellout streak. We have watched team after team come into the stadium, and beat us. This isn't some game against a high school team. It's USC!!! The number 1 team in all of the country. If we beat them, why shouldn't the posts come down. It's not like this would be a regular thing. But it's the biggest game for our beloved Huskers in a long time, and I'm sorry, but it's time to unload IF we end up winning the game, and take some goal posts down. Sorry for the rant GBR

I'm not saying that we will beat them. I havent seen either team yet. but I can tell you right now that there is enough talent on this team right now to prevent what you just said from happening. have you not followed this team?? we are so much better at home. its a HUGE advantage for us. to not fator that is is ignorant. we were within striking distance in the 4th quarter last year at their place. to predict a blowout is nothing short of silly The crowd is going to be jacked like it never has in the stadium that night. It will be the first non-conference number 1 to come here since like 77 or something when Alabama came in, and it's going to be insane. With that crowd, I just don't see a blowout.

Yeah Skers, I think he will see playing time...Nunn is the starter, and Peterson is also listed there, if you want to incorporate the depth chart for the position. Surprisingly, NU is fairly deep at WR this year, but if the drops come back, Paul will get a look. I think he will anyway, IMO, based on the large amount of WR's Callahan uses in the offense. Well if Nunn is the starter at that position Paul may edge Peterson out next year. I like Peterson alot, even though he is slow he does catch most balls thrown at him, but I have seen Paul play in high school, and he is amazing.......damn our WR's will be good for a long time! I hope you're right...time to start getting some 4 and 5 star recruits...I haven't seen any clips of Paul...who does he remind you of? Good Niles Paul clip here: Great student/person as well as athlete. Can't wait to see the national press get ahold of this story. Especialy the story about his mom. Yeah it was fun to know him these last four years, and eveything said in that video about him is true. It's going to be great to see him this year, and I think he will be the first freshman to break out under Callahan his first year here. Cogdon did good, and so did Turner, but I think Niles, even with all the talent at the position, will see plenty of time this year.
