If it's a knee hyper extended he will be fine. If it's an ACL he might as well take the year off and get healthy.

From what I understand Beck blew a fuse when he saw he was 4th on the depth chart. It makes me wonder just how he was actually doing in practice.

I'm sure if the boster didn't declare the income expense at the time of payment he will now do it.

Hopefully the new guys coming in will pickup the offense quickly as well. Especially the receivers.

Did you guys hear the comments made on Jim Rome is Burning today? He was discussing the sooner situation with Bomar and said. "...it's not as if he dragged his girlfriend down the stairs and beat her head against the mailboxes..." The media just doesn't want to let that go.

Well today is the second day of practice so we should find out soon enough if Harrison's shoulder is healthy or not. If it is we should see quite a bit of him throughout the season.

Wow, I can't believe someone would do something like that. The Mall of the Bluffs is actually quite a nice little mall. I wonder if anynoe has ever done something like that to themselves? Just to sue the owners and get a nice settlement.

I think the NCAA will let it stand. The sooners kicked the violators off of the team, including a highly rated QB. I don't think the NCAA will do anything more other than rubberstamp what the sooners have already done.

What happened at Oklahoma is disappointing. I was rather hoping the sooners would field a great team, and then lose to us in the conference championship game. But we are at a time when something like this can happen to any team. Heck boosters on BBS sites are now effecting teams and causing recruiting type violations.

His maturity is great news. But is he completing passes? On a side note though. I don't think Harrison will see any action in our first three games. If we are going to beat USC in LA we will need Taylor playing like a seasoned veteran. The backups will see plenty of action, especially our running backs and receivers, but at QB Zac needs every snap before we head into LA. Normally we would see Harrison get plenty of action. But USC is a special game. If we win in LA it could set the tone for championship run. but on the other hand leaving him in vs. nicholls state with a 35 point lead and he gets his acl torn from a rolling lineman..... ummmm not a good idea Injuries happen. Hopefully Zac will stay healthy for the entire season. But offenses tend to start slower than defenses. It takes a few games for offenses to hit their stride. From what the coaches have said there is a huge gap between Zac and Beck/Ganz so the backups certainly need the experience. And since Zac graduates at the end of this year we certainly need an experienced backup ready to take over. Although a torn ACL from a rolling lineman is always a risk, I don't think Callahan is overly concerned about it. At least to the point where he is willing to pull our starter when he still needs some seasoning. Once our offense is firing on all cylinders then we will see Beck get some meaningful snaps. If Harrison gets in our first two games I'll be surprised if it's anymore than a token snap or two at the end of the game. Hopefully we will at least have the option of going to a backup QB. Harrison has certainly matured, and that will help. But we aren't going to find out if his arm or shoulder has completely healed until he gets under center and starts throwing completions.

It's a nice starting point. The important thing is we are ranked. If we perform we will move up. I have to admit though, I'd like a bit more cushion before we head to LA.

Now that Bomar's gone from Oklahoma, I wonder it he wants to stay in the Big 12? The NCAA will make him sit out a year but he'll be back.

We do have a bunch of great running backs, but I'm not so sure one will leave the program, at least not this season. With the season starting already we may see someone redshirt. Next season if we snag another good running back or two we may see someone leave the program.

So the sooners have to replace their starting QB, and a good chunk of their offensive line. The south just may be up for grabs. But this also could mean we will play the longhorns twice.
