I dont really get excited unless they go over 1500. When healthy Helu is good for 100+ a game. Maybe next year he can rip off 1500+. Well, he's averaging 96.2 per game right now so not too far off. And of those games he's played in, would you say he's been 100% for 5-6-7 max of them? Even at that, on the 12 game regular season that puts him at 1155 for the season. And 1347 with conference and bowl games. Right now, there are 23 players over 1000 yards on the season (Helu at 962). There are 26 averaging over 100 ypg (with at least 8 starts). Keep in mind Helu is doing this on a less than explosive offense and this conference has drastically changed in the past 10 years from run-based offenses to pass-happy offenses. Just food for thought.

Just saw that Dick Jauron is out as Buffalo Bills head coach. If Mangino gets out now, he can jump on board and not have to change his wardrobe and keep his blue and red jumpsuits. Plus as an added bonus for Buffalo they get a cow for a coach and mascot. Dammit....I did it again!!!

Huh. Strange. Because anytime I or anyone else doesn't completely agree with something that a player, coach or anonymous board poster has to say we get bashed, told to shut up, and our opinions are worthless. Guess I'm confused on what is a good point and what is pointless.

The thing is we all know that football (college or pro) is a 'show me now' business. Getting 3-4 years to show real, meaningful results is max. Once you have shown those results if you slip just a little you will be under a magnifying glass. If you slip a LOT the 'university money' starts talking.

Anyone that thinks this game is a gimmie has no concept of reality whatsoever, but is a total kool-aid drinker (actually probably has it via I.V.). Of course that being said, I hope last week was just a little tune up for the offense and we come out blazing and the D completely wreaks havoc on KSU. But a special teams play here or a turnover there and the game could swing in a heartbeat.

Pretty full of himself regardless of what happens in the game.

Wow, guess I wasn't aware of how 'average' his performance has been. They've been talked about for so many years now as a 'contender' but really, as stated, the 7-1 in conference is all that really stands out. It looks like it is/could definitely be a performance issue. Especially inking a big contract, following it up with a 4-4 and potential 1-7 isn't what the boosters, I mean school, wants to see.
