  1. I'm glad he's gone. Made the broadcasts unlistenable. When I think of Adrian Fiala, I think of MXC's play-by-play guy Vic Romano... "Right you are, Kenny..." "Indeed" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_QXK-cz9vg

  3. Dating myself here... 1978 Missouri. Oz had just beaten OU for the first time in a very physical game in Lincoln. Defense was gassed and had to go up against the not-oft-seen Veer of Mizzou with Kellen Winslow and James Wilder. Not even a then-school record performance by NU RB Rick Berns (235 yards or something) could save the day. The loss knocked us out of the #1 rank, forced a share of the Big 8 title with OU AND set up a rematch with OU in the Orange Bowl. Had we won, we probably would've won the MNC. Second-place would be vs Miami in '84.
  4. I thought TT schemed well against Suh - probably the best of anyone all year. Carter had a good game against him because TT was boxing Suh in to block his movement. Suh had 3-4 bodies on him all game nearly every play - from nearly every direction.
  5. I don't mind UT that much. I always root for our conference because it does make us look better. Personally, I think Alabama is going to manhandle Texas similar to how we did - and I tend to root for the underdog, too.
  6. I really wonder if Cotton and Watson really get along...
  7. I hope Bo has a 1-on-1 sit-down with TO about the our offense. I think a complete offensive assessment from Osborne would help this program - and the sooner the better. Specifically, breaking down each area - line/TEs, QB, backs, receivers AND coaching as well as play-calling and game-planning. If we don't come up with something to move the ball, I fear it may be another hard-fought loss.
  8. If it actually went to Suh, that would make the season. Well... that and a bowl win.
  9. Brown said on TV: "Their defense whipped us."
  10. Yeah... missing Burkes is huge. Truly unfortunate. Hopefully Spano can rehabilitate successfully. Q and Witt - They made their own decisions.
  11. Thanks, man... Your guys did just enough. We do need some more pieces to complete the puzzle. Next year's game should be good.
  12. I think the strategy was two-fold: 1: Put the more physically solid QB in there to sneak it twice, bang out some yardage to give more room for Henery. 2. Give Lee a breather - and give Green an opportunity to see if he's got the hotter hand.
  13. Kudos on the great post. Personally, I think they made the right call resetting the clock, but time will tell if it was incorrect. I think back to '82 Penn State (completion out of bounds for a first down, sustaining the winning PSU drive), and Roger Craig saying, "Great teams come back from bad calls."
