  1. Misdirection, cutbacks, reverses... here comes a whole lot of running.
  2. Watching it from work... Wish I had some wings & beer! damn. Let's kickoff!
  3. I think when the ship goes down, Watson will be looking for a floatie. I'm not saying he wouldnt do well as a HC, but it's the same thing for all coordinators taking that next step. From little that I know, he does well as an OC.
  4. Amen brotha. Chris Petersen has proven he can prepare his team to go out and play with confidence against the big boys (OU) in the spotlight. His current and past offense, and QBs (as an OC) have always been incredible and succesfull. These guys enjoy playing for him.
  5. Thanks for contributing! And for your input. Stick around if you like. I agree with you. Red turf would be bad azz! But seriously, any hints of him coming this way? If he stays, you have a great coach. He is doing some great things there. Would hate to see Huskers miss the boat on this one. If he doesnt come to Lincoln, hope he stays at Boise State and doesnt head to the west coast and Pac 10 country (lame).
  6. I serioulsy doubt there will be news about a presser being scheduled prior to playing any game and prior to any evaluation. Any major news will prolly not be announced until Monday. Speculation will float throughout the weekend.
  7. I havent read through the entire thread. My opinion on the WCO is that, it's not a bad offense. It's a short controlled passing game. You can still run and pass. You can still be balanced. I prefer throwing down field more & spreading the wide outs, instead of the bunched up formation & short passes, but's that's my style, my preference. Different WCO for different flavors. Some are more complexed. High schools do not usually run them, and only a handful in college. It's best to have a QB who is running it for 4-8 years. Again, my thoughts.
  8. Oh hell yah! Without question. Always! Always! Always!
  9. Anyone? Besides Spurrier? Hmmm.. Okay. Well what if TO hires one of these cool cats - yah! . . . . . . . . . . . . Hey, I'm Jared. I've got sweet onion terriyaki skillz. . . . . . . . . . . . . Oh yah? Well, can you hear MY skillz? Can you hear 'em now? . . . . . . . . . . . . . Excuse me guys, let me boar you to death and just draw my skillz... on this here whiteboard. Hey has anyone seen my sweater vest?
  10. And Devaney will be all like "OH SNAP!" and stuff. damn...
  11. I actually like Michigan. <insert the boos here> I like their traditions, the uni's, the Big House, the history of sending tons of talent to the NFL (big offensive tackles, QBs, WRs, RBs, etc). I would love to coach them and beat the snot out of Ohio State. I spent a year up in Minneapolis and got a better understanding of the Big 10. Plus, your season is done by Nov 17 and if you are sitting on just one loss and ranked 5th in the BCS standings, you can sneak into the BCS championship game while the rest of the teams are playing their last games and conference championship game (ahem, Ohio State). And going to the Rose Bowl for winning your conference would be a thrill every time. Plus there's the Michigan State rival, the Notre Dame rival, playing Penn State against Joe Pa in Happy Valley, and just about any storied program they play sounds like an interesting, exciting matchup (Michigan vs Nebraska, Michigan vs Texas, Michigan vs USC, Michigan vs Oklahoma, etc). It's a power house alright. And right now, I'm feelin' for them. LSU = Baton Rouge, cajun gator claw soup, dirty swamp water andouille, and a whole lot of "Yee Haw! cousin Jeb and MaryAnn got dem a color tv for dis week's gator game showdown, hooooowee!!!". Plus they really were not on the map that much before 2000.
  12. I'm trying to have a good day. Please dont go there. And thanks.
  13. Only if it's Southwest You know it, brotha!!! Wick-ed Voo-doo joker killa!!!
  14. If it depends on the source, what about Voodoo? Is that okay? VOO-DOO Running from my magic!
  15. Worst Case Part I: No games on TV next year Worst Case Part II: Callahan retained Best Case Part I: Players & fans & recruits & boosters & alumni & former players embrace the new coaching staff and direction of the football team, and begin building unity, character, toughness, sportsmanship, dedication, motivation, and a "nobody can beat us" attitude through hard work. Best Case Part II: The cornhusker rides the pikle again (with GBRS)
  16. I may not be a big Pelini supporter at this time, or since he got axed I should say. But when that first presser comes (Monday/Saturday/Whenever), I will be relieved. And when the second one comes, the announcement of the new coach, if it's Pelini, I will support TO's decision and not be a stick in the mud. I'll root him on. New life. is all. good.
  17. I think Cos is...if the NU defense doesn't show up and Hawkins is serious about his threat. It's on page 7 of the Big 10 Defensive Play Book...under "Alternative Paths to Victory" heading. Is that the playbook in his belly pants?
  18. Niice.. BTW Its actually FOX Sports on MSN. And I guess they edited it. No longer says "Heisman"....
  19. Thanks HOKC!!!! Same to you!!! And to all my Husker brothas and sistas!!! H * A * P * P * Y T * H * A * N * K * S * G * I * V * I * N * G !!!! RIDE THE PIKLE!! GBRS !!
  20. Same here - whoever it is I will do my best to support them and hope for the best. However - I could have gone the entire weekend without having to hear that, unfortunately.
