  1. I agree with these points. Except for I didn't see the BC show. A coach owning his mistakes shouldn't be anything too impressive. It's what they are supposed to do as part of being a collegiate coach. Coaches are the ones getting paid (although the players do get "paid" through scholarships I view it completely differently).
  2. One of the biggest improvements ZT made between last year and this year was being more calm in the pocket and taking the time to progress through his reads. Looking to more receivers and getting out of the tunnel vision he had quite a bit last year (i.e. trying to throw to Hardy every play). IMO ZT had "happy feet" in the pocket when he really didn't need to. There were plays that were rushed and he had to step up and move around. Other plays his movement in the pocket seemed to be excessive and he was rushing the play. Not to mention the fumble on the first play from scrimmage was a momentum killer.
  3. Driving around, roads look pretty good. Thawed out. For those driving tonight or tomorrow morning still be careful. Streets are thawed but not completely dry, anything on the streets will refreeze tonight. I-29 should be good though. Safe travels...
  4. Man...I'm scrolling through this thread like I would if I DVR'd an soap opera episode: "Blah, blah, blah...sob, sob" (fast forward, fast forward) "Blah, blippity, blah, blah..," (fast forward, fast forward) "Blah" (Okay...delete) This is a board for Husker fans. It isn't suprising to find fans that hold an us against the world attitude. I could care less what Mark May or Lou Holtz or Lee Corso have to say. Either way I'll be there in Husker red. In fact, I would make a case that sometimes I'm glad they DON'T jump on the Husker bandwagon and create another overcommercialized/overrated team (Notre Dame, Yankees, Duke, etc. and yes I know they all have done well and deserve a good portion of their backing). Go skers, beat OU! Only then will we know where we stand and who was right and wrong.
  5. So it's 22 degrees out right now, but the sun is out. The high today is 36 degrees so between that and the sun shining much of the snow/ice should be able to melt and drain a little from the streets/highways. Although it will refreeze tonight, it should help improve driving conditions for those coming down to the game. Thought I'd throw that out there.
  6. The KC Nebraska Alumni is having a little deal at Harpo's tomorrow night I guess. $5 cover which is normal there and I think the Sidetracks band will be there? In any case, I'm going to be there drinking with at least 11 other Husker fans. Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone happening to go or for those out of town that are looking for something to do. Go skers!!!!
  7. You might have to copy and paste, but look at the site below. Read the reviews... Over 820 reviews on 1 gallon of milk being sold on the Internet. My favorite review so far: 41 of 46 people found the following review helpful: Good stuff, I believe., November 29, 2006 Reviewer: Victor Lopez (Puerto Rico) - See all my reviews I stalked a person for an entire year at my former place of employment. I knew this persons schedule better than mine: what they ate; where they ate; how much they ate; where they worked; their salary; their favorite color; all of their relatives names and addresses; what color sheets they had on their bed; their social security number; their bank PIN; the list goes on and on. I have several pictures of this person that I took- they are in a book that I keep in my ceiling- hidden behind the acoustic tiles. I also have some of their hair and item of clothing. On the 366th day I approached this person and buried a 14 ounce hammer into the top of their head. I then carried the body to my work- and threw it into a smelter. I now believe that the body is part of a building in Oxford, Ohio. I still wear the article of clothing and look at the pictures. Oh, and for the milk? Still pretty refreshing after all that. Goes great with my oatmeal cookies. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-...e&n=3370831
  8. I think it is better for Nebraska. The weather puts that much more focus on the run, which we are already going to have to control. I think it will make it that much harder to pass on both sides. We can take advantage and pull another defender into the box to stop the run. That, and when it comes to passing I believe we will be more successful than OU in the cold weather.
  9. The corn cob is better than if we had a tractor. Much better. And I bet they thought of making a tractor hat. However, they probably couldn't decide on a color because if you make it green, then the farmers that support New Holland or other brands would hate it. if you made it blue then john deere farmers would hate it. Etc.... (one of my roomates in college was a anti-John Deere farmer)
  10. One year seems pretty lax regarding the fact she committed fraud resulting in over $100,000 in stolen money. Probably won't look too good on the ole resume.
  11. Wow...that was really good. GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Just to make sure everyone knows what I'm getting at, look at the guy taking a picture of the guy with the blow up. Why would anyone want a picture of that?
  13. The Intimidation Factor It's the intagible every chess player desires but seems to lack for some reason.
  14. 229 (5 from the OP, KS rest from Lincoln/Omaha NE) Going to be a hell of a tailgate if we all manage to park next to each other.
  15. If I was an alien looking in on humanity, I would have a tough time deciding why NOT to blow up Earth.
  16. back on the soapbox..... and, yes, i do think it's a little suspect but I will take all the Huskers on that list that I can get. Congrats to them ALL!
  17. Some things you just aren't supposed to take a picture of...
  18. 1) I think running the trick play in the third quarter was part of what Callahan was referring to when he said that they had "looked at why we struggle in the third quarter and found something". I think it helped build some momentum when usually we may lose it. 2) Trick plays...like someone else said they are like any other play. Every play you are trying to "trick" the other team. It's just that these specific plays have a higher risk/reward ratio. Practicing, setting up, and running the play at the right time is what lowers the risk. I mean, what was the option attack? Or the Option/pass play. NU has thrived on the use of "trickery" over the years. Overall, Callahan has implemented these plays wisely. Now, if we come to the point where they are blowing up in our face then THAT would be the time to question their use.
  19. This is my wish as well. Allbuffs.com has a poll going as to which conference would "Colorado best be suited for". It's Big XII, Pac-10, or "other". I say Mountain West. They do very little for the conference.
  20. Personally, I stay away from anything I consider fruity whenever possible.
  21. Did you just say "all that and a bag of chips"? Juuuuuuuust wondering...
  22. The Loch Ness monster - about 5 tons, couldn't get an accurate reading. I had it taxadermied and it's in my backyard. Put up a pretty good fight.
